That’s Not How Real People Do It: Joshua Shea

On this episode of The Mental Society, Today I am joined by Joshua Shea. He and I discuss how pornography can impact relationships and create unrealistic expectations of what sex and intimacy look like in relationships. Joshua is a pornography addiction expert, certified betrayal trauma coach, therapeutic disclosure specialist, and author. Joshua focuses on the trauma partners feel when learning their loved one has an issue with pornography and promotes the idea that porn addiction spans all demographics and that those with a problem should seek help before it’s too late. No Body, No Clue: Dylan Newcomb

Today I am joined by Dylan Newcomb. Dylan and I discuss the importance of nonverbal communication and how we can use sound and movement to heal from the inside out. Dylan is a world-renowned expert in embodiment and has dedicated over two decades to helping individuals transform unhealthy stress and live a more fulfilling life. After studying dance performance and music composition at the Juilliard School, Dylan danced with the Netherlands Dance Theater, receiving numerous awards as a choreographer-composer in the Netherlands. In 2001, he co-founded the Danslab Institute for Movement Research, where he conducted extensive cross-cultural research on the relationship between vocal sounds, breath, movement, and behavior—laying the foundation for developing UZAZU Embodied Intelligence, a comprehensive personal growth modality.   More info and resources about Dylan on his website https://dylannewcomb.com/ [https://dylannewcomb.com/].
