The Mommy Monitor Report
In this episode of the Mommy Monitor Report, Elsie Amoako (Founder of Mommy Monitor [//mommymonitor.ca/]) and Cheyenne Scarlett (MA ECS) discuss the importance of engaging Black mothers in maternal health research, and the findings of Cheyenne's own qualitative study on the childbirth experiences of Black mothers in the GTA. Cheyenne is a recent master's graduate and mom of 3. She is passionate about supporting families and helping them feel more confident in their abilities. She also has a special interest in childbirth and improving the childbirth experience. Cheyenne works from a trauma-informed and person-centered lens.
