I moved to Melbourne and discovered be-lconies: Why your communication accent is about much more than how you sound.

Penny reckons she'll get some complaints and counterexamples about this story. It's how she ended up going down the rabbit of a 'unique communication accents'. Yep, they're a thing. You have one, Penny has one, we all have one. Once we know our default we can choose to switch between them. So, what's yours? --- Show notes: Hey, it's Penny here (more about me below) - if you have a question that you want answered on the pod, record it and then send a short voice memo to my email so I can use it on the Penny Drop (with your permission). Have you felt this frequency shift? It’s not just about noticing the shift, it’s about knowing what to do with it.

Penny felt an instant shift in frequency just doing an everyday thing - one she reckons you've felt too. She thinks if you know how to handle frequency shifts, it'll be a game changer for your job, your life and basically, how you relate and connect with others. In this episode of the Penny Drop, she gives you three things to start noticing. ---- Show notes: Hey, it's Penny here (more about me below) - if you have a question that you want answered on the pod, record it and then send a short voice memo to my email so I can use it on the Penny Drop (with your permission). The manual skill we've lost (that's costing us big time). Penny went looking for a radio and found the real problem with how we communicate

Penny had a great idea for a podcast that was hijacked when she couldn't find the six she was looking for. I bet you wouldn't be able to, either. She realised that we're out of practice of manually tuning in, simply because we don't need to do it anymore. Penny reckons learning how to tune-in and adjust frequency is the most valuable communication technique you can re-learn.  --- Show notes: Hey, it's Penny here (more about me below) - if you have a question that you want answered on the pod, record it and then send a short voice memo to my email so I can use it on the Penny Drop (with your permission). Subject: The tiny shift that changes everything. Influence isn’t about volume; it’s about resonance.

Penny caught herself doing something weird. Chances are you've done it too. What it reminded her is that most of the time, we're not in control of our communication - the herd is. But she's got a new way for you to think about it so you don't have to compete with the herd, you can just work with them.
