This short series of podcasts gives listeners the opportunity to find out more about the forgotten history of the last armed rebellion in England. It was easily quashed by a repressive government still fearful of the French Revolution of 1789. This is a work of fiction by an Australian author; a time slip novel with a female central character Elizabeth. It moves from modern times back to 1817 and it follows the life of Edmund Turner the son of Edward Turner who was transported to Australia in 1818 . In the novel Edmund is one of Elizabeth’s ancestors and the past and the present are woven together.
