I'm a published author, educator, and literary enthusiast. ✏️I created the Poethnic Justice Podcast because I believe literature has the power to transform society and that it's a powerful tool against the system of racism/white supremacy. Science shows the practice of engaging in literature, daily--reading and writing--expands our capacity for empathy, enhances our creative brain, sharpens our investigative skills, and increases our ability to think critically. It's these kinds of qualities that are instrumental in combating the inhumanity, barbarity, dishonesty, and low-level thinking systemic racism produces. ✏️Poethnic Justice is a space that utilizes the power of literature against injustice. It is an audio and visual extension of the written social commentary of my Eye Wall platform (https://thestormypoet.medium.com), and I use a combination of self-voiced commentary and audio overviews of the essays I compose. ✏️Thank you for taking time out of your day to tune in. Overt VS Covert Racism - Which One Is More Dangerous?

Comrades, Recently, Donald Trump has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, like he always is, for the racist video of Barack and Michelle Obama he posted on social media. We can all be disgusted, but none of us should be surprised. The Orange Man is a documented white supremacist, whether it was the 1973 housing discrimination case he was involved in or doing photoshoots with Daniel Penny, a white man who strangled an innocent, mentally handicapped black man to death for simply being annoying. The FBA community has already designated Dump as a white supremacist, and we already know he's beyond redemption, so stunts like this don't surprise us. We're not interested in dealing with Dump or his ilk longer than we have to. And, while his behavior is reprehensible, we need to know who's who when it comes to identifying those who are a threat to justice. Therefore, it's actually advantageous to the FBA community when a racist flies their bigoted banner loud and proud. In this edition of the Poethnic Justice Podcast, we discuss.
