It is with great honor and pride we announce our newest Guests on the Show. Please join us in welcoming national qualifier Julian Ramirez and Sal Jones, graduates from Cornell University on the RB Podcast! These 2 Gentlemen wrestled for Cornell University where they achieved tremendous success both on and off the mat. And now they are continuing that trend with their newly announced Frog Empire Wrestling Club which is a subsidiary of Empire Wrestling Academy. In this episode, Julian and Sal explain their endeavor, other BIG RED coaches who will be joining the club, as well as how Empire Wrestling Academy has helped them with starting Frog Empire. Interview with Coach Jimmy Overhiser (Mercyhurst University)

In this episode, we sit down with Jimmy Overhiser, the newly appointed head coach of the Mercyhurst University Wrestling Program, as he steps into the role following the retirement of longtime head coach Mike Wehler.Overhiser joins Mercyhurst after a successful run at Drexel University, where he served as an assistant coach during the 2024 season and helped lead the Dragons to the highest conference finish in program history with a second place finish. Prior to Drexel, he coached at Army during the 2023 season, playing a pivotal role in securing two nationally ranked recruiting classes. Earlier in his career, Overhiser was part of Reinhardt University’s (NAIA) historic run toward its first-ever national title, coaching three All-Americans along the way.A native of Bradford, New York, Overhiser is a product of Wyoming Seminary, where he was a National Prep All-American and helped capture the program’s first-ever team National Prep Championship. He also competed at Lansing High School, where he was a State Champion.At the collegiate level, Overhiser wrestled at Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Art, and Urban Planning while competing throughout his college career.This conversation dives into his coaching journey, leadership philosophy, recruiting approach, and vision for the future of Mercyhurst wrestling.It was an absolute blast of an episode to film with some incredible insight you won't want to miss!Want more Content?
