John 11:17-27 "I am the resurrection" (

In John 11:17–27, Jesus meets Martha in the midst of her grief over Lazarus’ death and reveals one of the most powerful truths in the Gospel: “I am the resurrection and the life.” Even in the face of death, Jesus calls Martha—and all believers—to trust that those who believe in Him will live. This passage reminds us that Christian hope is not merely about life after death, but about placing our faith in the living Christ who has power over the grave.

Colossians 2:10-14 "Complete in Christ" (Thursday 5/21/26)

Colossians 2:10–14 reminds us that believers are made complete in Christ, the One who rules over every power and authority. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, our sins have been forgiven, the debt of our guilt has been canceled, and we have been spiritually raised to new life with Him. Paul’s message is clear: salvation is not found in human effort or religious rituals, but in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Romans 5:12-17 "Life in Christ" (Wednesday 5/20/26)

In Romans 5:12–17, Paul contrasts Adam and Christ as two representative heads of humanity: through Adam’s sin came death and condemnation, but through Jesus Christ comes grace, righteousness, and life. While sin spread to all because all have sinned, God’s grace in Christ is far greater than the ruin brought by Adam’s fall. This passage reminds us that the story of humanity is not ultimately defined by death in Adam, but by abundant life and reigning grace through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:1-10 "Dead in our Sin, Alive in Christ" (Tuesday 5/19/26)

Ephesians 2:1–10 reminds us that we were once dead in sin, following the ways of the world and separated from God, but through His great mercy and love He made us alive together with Christ. Like the prodigal son who was “dead and is alive again,” this passage shows that God’s grace welcomes sinners home and gives new life to those who turn to Him in faith. Salvation is not earned by works, but is the gift of God that transforms us into people created for good works and a new way of life.

Psalm 72 "The Righteous and Just King" (Monday 5/18/26)

Psalms paints a beautiful picture of the righteous King whose reign brings justice, peace, and blessing to the nations. While originally connected to the line of David and Solomon, the psalm ultimately points forward to the coming reign of Jesus Christ, the perfect King who cares for the poor and rules with righteousness. Psalm 72 reminds us that true hope for the world is found not in earthly kingdoms, but in the everlasting kingdom of God.
