the roads we take podcast
My guest today is a visionary creative and one of the most quietly influential voices in contemporary fashion. She is the founder of Seventh, a brand grounded in intention — known for its refined silhouettes, timeless minimalism, and an ability to make simplicity feel deeply elevated. Seventh isn’t about chasing trends; it’s about creating pieces that feel calm, considered, and built to last. Bukki Ojo’s journey started long before Seventh. At just 17 years old, she launched her first brand, upcycling vintage denim with African fabrics — a bold fusion of heritage and streetwear that quickly caught attention and landed in major retailers like Topshop and ASOS. She then set up in London’s well known Camden Market, which then led to her first store, so she’s no stranger to building a dedicated community. What I love most is how her story didn’t stop there — she kept evolving, throughout the no doubt countless challenges along the way and Bukki is now leading one of the UK’s most exciting brands. Bukki Ojo’s story is one of reinvention, intuition, and staying true to your creative vision.
