Having spent years in the United States as a Masters and PhD student and practicing lawyer, Dr. Liu deeply understands the daily and social struggles of immigrants and international visitors. His experience has led him to write about transgender rights, gender equity, disaster displacement, refugees, and humanitarian-development nexus issues. Committed to social justice, Dr. Liu worked as a journalist and researcher and has volunteered through numerous capacities. He currently sits on the board of Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights (TAPCPR) – a grassroot NGO dedicated to gender issues. With the pandemic, Paul pivoted once again and pursued his master degree in clinical counselling. What sparks his curiosity?
