Here's something a lot of women are quietly feeling right now: somewhere along the way, wellness stopped feeling like support… and started feeling like pressure. Another thing to track. Another thing to optimize. Another thing to "do right" — and inevitably fail at. 🌿
This week is the follow-up to last week's Best Self Choices conversation, bc both things can be true at the same time. Wellness habits CAN deeply support your life — and wellness culture can also quietly become heavy, performative, obsessive, + exhausting. Drink this much water, hit this many steps, get this much protein, take these supplements (but not those anymore), reduce your stress, protect your nervous system… anyone else as stressed out about taking care of yourself as we are?
At what point did caring for ourselves become one more thing to fail at?
Brittany walks through a piece of imagery that's been staying with her — picture one of those weighted walking vests, the kind you add weights to. Every new "should" drops another weight in the pocket. More water goals, more routines, more tracking, more rules. Until the vest we're walking around in gets really freaking heavy + we start to sink.

It's gonna look more like a rollercoaster, bc life throws us off course — stressful seasons, travel, hormone shifts, the stuff we can't control. The goal was never to never drift. The goal is noticing when you've drifted + reconnecting a little kinder each time. That's the catch. That's the work.
