The Burger National Guard, Eggboy Jimbo Takes Shape, and Exploring the Realities of AI

After a break that can only be attributed to life being busy and a real lack of responsibility, a new dawn breaks on another day on the factory floor, and more high quality silly bullsh*t being spun! Strap in folks, this one is a real meander. In this episode, Matt and Josh talk about the sadness of local multiplayer co-op in video games being so rare now, which makes them both feel like grumpy old men. From there, they move into discussing how their should be a nationalized burger chain as a branch of the military. Finally, they wrap the episode by exploring the creative and professional implications of AI, and try to parse out where the value versus the shenanigans are. As stated in the beginning, real range in this one. Also explored: Josh's daughter's influencer attempt, game and movie ratings, and ideating around Eggboy Jimbo. Want to send us deranged hate mail? AI Nonsense & A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Episode 1-3

Josh and Matt bring their lunchpails into the factory and start off discussing general AI nonsense, with Josh giving Matt some of the latest from that world. Clawdbot (now Moltbot) and Moltbook kick off a discussion about the challenges this technology presents, and the negative impacts of it. From there they move into their review/feelings about a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episodes 1-3, which kicks off with Matt discussing how important the original The Hedge Knight novella is to him. They explore their love of the growing relationship between Dunk and Egg, how Matt feels like they did in capturing the things he loves from the book, and the show's concerning propensity for penis and poop based humor. Stranger Things Part 2 and Finale & Eggboy Jimbo

As the opening whistle blows in the factory, Matt and Josh start off by rating various phrases in the "She Xed on my Y till I Z" meme format, and in the process, come across a note of Matt's that he had no memory of. From that, they create Eggboy Jimbo, and Earthworm Jim style "Egg with Attitude" character. From there, they dig into the meat of wrapping up Stranger Things, with Matt having finally finished the show. They explore the nature of building mystery in a media property, how success can change the trajectory of a tv show, and discuss their general feelings and thoughts about the show as a whole. The Geese Turned Into Pretzels - A Hundreds of Beavers Tale

Fresh off the factory floor, titans of silly industry Josh and Matt watch a very silly, and very fascinating, movie called Hundreds of Beavers. Join them as they navigate the challenges of watching a black and white, silent film comedy in the modern day, and explore the silliness, brilliance, and surprising internal consistency of it. They then cap the episode off talking a little more about the ConformityGate conspiracy surrounding Stranger Things, and the legitimately strange things that suggests about the way some people express fandom. episode Primal Skills OnlyFans Gateways, Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 artwork

Primal Skills OnlyFans Gateways, Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1

Josh and Matt kick off this episode talking about the failures of the Cincinnati Bengals, the outlet sports fandom gives for some of our worst emotional states, and Primal Living content that serves as gateways to OnlyFans. They then move into discussing a recent episode of SubwayTakes [https://www.youtube.com/@SubwayTakes], the incredible sanity of Ethan Hawke, and doing what's right right now. Then, they start their thoughts on Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1, including Matt's ambivalence stemming from not having been invested in the show from the beginning, Vecna slander, and some of the effects of "Second Screen" viewing on shows like this. They also dive into the show's developing tendency to tell and not show (or in some cases, tell right before they show), the point at which the show developed a nostalgia for itself, and the feedback loop that the longer production times and social media probably had on the writing of the show. They wrap up the show by scratching the surface of the phenomena of the ConformityGate conspiracy theories around the show, and Josh's fascination with the way fandoms move, and considering it as a microcosm study of how cults form.  Want to send us deranged hate mail?
