129. No Time to Practice

Do we have to accepts the growing demands of society? No time to practice in a busy world with a busy schedule. What do you do when your  child wants to move from one instrument to another? How to cope with “boring”? How to react to resentment? Practice needs time and space in time. Daily practice becomes even more important when your childstarts showing signs of disinterest in the work. It is important to find time to practice when both you and yourchild are at your best. When hard things are met with daily routine, they gradually become easier. Too many children have too many activities. There’s no time to breath. It is best for children to practice from a place of calm. What is the problem with boredom? Why are parents afraid of hearing their child saying “I’m bored”? Keeping yourself busy the whole time ,makes you miss finding the place your soul wants you to go. Planning time wisely is far better than then dropping-stoppingto learn an instrument. #125. The Sound of Grief

Yesterday I had a lesson with a girl who lost her mother recently.I felt like walking in the sand , trying not to leave foot prints. You can never say, “ I know grief very well”. You can say, “ I know my grief”. Each person’s  grief is experienced in a unique, distinct  way. This was a lesson without words. We were playing together. No teaching or talking. The girl was playing and crying. Every now and then she reached with one hand to dry hertears with her shirt, while the other hand continued to play.
