Descripción

When we build our lives on our own way and understanding, our foundation is like a house built on sand. When life’s storms hit, we see just how weak it really is. Rock bottom often becomes the moment we finally let go of control and let God take over. Being Gracefully Broken isn’t always comfortable, but when God rebuilds us, the outcome is stronger, wiser, and more beautiful than we could have imagined. Living our life according to God’s will and way is like building a house on the rock—firm, secure, and able to withstand any storm.

The Generational Curse Can End With You

In this episode of There's A Verse For That, I'm sharing one of the most personal stories I've ever told. I grew up surrounded by addiction. My mother died an alcoholic. My father spent his life chasing drugs. My brother battled heroin addiction. Everywhere I looked, addiction, dysfunction, and brokenness seemed to be the story of my family. For years, I believed I was destined to become what I came from. That mindset led me down a road of alcoholism, cocaine addiction, depression, and ultimately suicidal thoughts. I was convinced the cycle would continue through me just like it had for generations before me. But everything changed when I became desperate enough to cry out to God. In this episode, I share my testimony and the powerful truth that God taught me: your family history may explain where you've been, but it does not determine where you're going. Through Jesus Christ, the chains of addiction can be broken, generational cycles can end, and a new story can begin. If you've ever felt trapped by your past, overwhelmed by family dysfunction, or convinced that you'll never escape the cycle, this episode is for you. Key Verse: Psalm 34:6 (KJV) — "This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles." The generational curse can end with you.
