Descripción

Why does a loving God allow cancer, funerals, heartbreak, and loss? Why do the faithful still suffer? In this episode, we walk through Scripture to confront one of the hardest questions the human heart can ask. From the perfection of Eden to the fracture of sin… from the rebellion in heaven to the groaning of creation… from the cross of Christ to the promise of restoration — this episode reminds us that pain was not God’s original design, but it is part of a fallen world we are passing through. If you’ve ever sat in a hospital room whispering “Why?”… if you’ve ever stood at a graveside wondering where God was… this episode is for you.

The Generational Curse Can End With You

In this episode of There's A Verse For That, I'm sharing one of the most personal stories I've ever told. I grew up surrounded by addiction. My mother died an alcoholic. My father spent his life chasing drugs. My brother battled heroin addiction. Everywhere I looked, addiction, dysfunction, and brokenness seemed to be the story of my family. For years, I believed I was destined to become what I came from. That mindset led me down a road of alcoholism, cocaine addiction, depression, and ultimately suicidal thoughts. I was convinced the cycle would continue through me just like it had for generations before me. But everything changed when I became desperate enough to cry out to God. In this episode, I share my testimony and the powerful truth that God taught me: your family history may explain where you've been, but it does not determine where you're going. Through Jesus Christ, the chains of addiction can be broken, generational cycles can end, and a new story can begin. If you've ever felt trapped by your past, overwhelmed by family dysfunction, or convinced that you'll never escape the cycle, this episode is for you. Key Verse: Psalm 34:6 (KJV) — "This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles." The generational curse can end with you.
