Screamer

Two years after a surprise debut at The Game Awards, Milestone's anime-inspired reenvisioning of Screamer is here, and the boys each feel some different type of way about it. A narrative-heavy arcade racer oozing ambition with a cohesive art style and unique gameplay, it's the kind of game we at Time Extend always love to support, even if its story is at times nonsensical, and even if it carries a hard learning curve. Will it eventually go down as a classic, or burn up like a shooting star? Inventing Our Own Racing Games: A TXR Special

This is precisely the question asked and answered in this latest special from the mind of Brendan Rorrison, as the boys pitch projects in a round-robin format, drawing upon games of all genres to sell their ideas. From cross-country rallies to good old-fashioned touring car racing and cars that grind, the results are all over the map, with a few surprising similarities.
