Acerca de Two Peacocks Travel Podcast

Two Peacocks Travel was founded by best friends and passionate globetrotters Ana Gaona and Sandy Correa, who share a deep love for adventure and cultural exploration. After retiring from Civil Service with the Los Angeles Department of Health, these travel besties decided to travel the world together. Along the way, they realized how many women felt hesitant or uncertain about traveling solo or stepping outside their comfort zones. Determined to change that, Ana and Sandy created Two Peacocks Travel with the mission to empower women to explore the world confidently, by offering curated, supportive, and enriching group travel experiences. Their goal is to break down barriers, foster connection, and inspire women to embrace adventure—whether they’re seasoned travelers or taking their very first trip abroad. Through thoughtful planning, personal touches, and a vibrant community, Ana and Sandy strive to make every journey transformative, fun, and unforgettable.

Episode 32: Grief Unfiltered: Letting Go of Who We Were (Part 1)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2266980/fan_mail/new] There are moments in life when connection happens instantly… the kind that feels aligned, effortless, and meant to be. Today’s guest is someone who walked into our lives in one of those exact moments. We met her in the Morocco airport, somewhere between departures and new beginnings, and within minutes, there was a connection that felt deeper than coincidence. Dr. Mona Raed (IG: welldressedwitnessmd) is a physician whose work extends far beyond medicine. She is deeply passionate about supporting others through grief, loss, and life’s unexpected transitions. Her perspective is rooted not only in her professional experience, but in her personal journey navigating loss in its many forms. Because grief is not just about losing a loved one. It can show up in the loss of identity, relationships, health, or the life you once imagined. In this episode, we’re having a real and honest conversation about grieving all aspects of loss. The kind we don’t always talk about out loud. The kind many women carry quietly while still showing up for everyone else. This is Part 1 of a 2-part series, where we begin to unpack grief, what it looks like, how it shows up, and how we start to move through it. From a chance meeting in an airport to a conversation that we know will resonate with so many of you, this episode is about honoring where you are, understanding that grief is not linear, and reminding you that you don’t have to navigate it alone. Episode 31: Traveling Alone for the First Time at 40+

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2266980/fan_mail/new] Ever catch yourself daydreaming about traveling… but then thinking, Could I really do this alone? If that sounds like you, this episode is for you. In Episode 31, we talk about what it is really like to step into solo travel later in life. Not the backpacking-in-your-twenties version, but the grown-woman version where comfort, safety, and confidence actually matter. We bust some of the biggest myths, including the idea that hostels are only for twenty-somethings who never sleep. Spoiler alert, many hostels today offer beautiful private rooms, calm social spaces, and safe, welcoming vibes that are perfect for women traveling solo. They are not what you think. We talk about not letting fear, or movies like Taken, Saw, and Final Destination, convince you that the world is out to get you. Solo travel is not about being reckless, it is about being prepared, aware, and brave enough to live your life fully. And if the idea of solo travel excites you but also makes you a little nervous, you are not alone. Sometimes the best first step is traveling with a supportive group that helps you build confidence. Two Peacocks Travel creates women-only trips designed to give you that bridge between guided travel and full solo adventures. So if you have been waiting for a sign to finally go, this is it. Episode 30: The Guilt Trip (But Not That Kind)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2266980/fan_mail/new] In this episode, Sandy Peacock and Ana Travel Bestie unpack the not-so-fun “bonus baggage” many women carry when they travel: guilt. You know, the kind that whispers, “Are you sure you’re allowed to enjoy this?” 😅 They dive into self-identity, relationship dynamics, and why booking a trip does not mean you’ve stopped loving your spouse, kids, dog, or group chat. From setting boundaries to having real conversations with your partner, this episode is all about choosing yourself without the side of shame. And yes, they celebrate the magic of women-only travel, because sometimes the best therapy comes with a passport stamp. This one is your permission slip to stop apologizing, start packing, and remember that a happy you is good for everyone. Episode 29: New Year, New You — Permission to Be the Best You

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2266980/fan_mail/new] Happy New Year! As we step into a fresh year, we’re taking a moment to reflect, celebrate, and reset. In this episode, we’re sharing some of our biggest accomplishments as a company—wins that remind us what’s possible when women give themselves permission to dream bigger and take up space. But this conversation goes beyond us. It’s about you. Giving yourself permission to take that PTO without guilt. To start the business you’ve been talking yourself out of. To book the trip, make the move, change direction or simply rest. Whatever becoming a better version of yourself looks like in this season, you are allowed to want it. This year isn’t about shrinking or waiting for approval. It’s about choosing yourself, boldly and unapologetically. So grab your coffee, your journal, or your walking shoes, and let’s talk about what it really means to step into the best version of you on your own terms. And before we get started, if travel is part of what becoming your best self looks like this year, head to our website to explore our 2026 upcoming trips [https://www.twopeacockstravel.com/welcome.html] and while you’re there, be sure to sign up for our newsletter [https://mailchi.mp/051e6209b7c3/cmbwhi1x1x?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio&fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQMMjU2MjgxMDQwNTU4AAGnk1Z-HoTenKoAV_jpWYyKfLnYkpzL7rj61CpyWCUWp4ee8RkPskM6Zjxn2t4_aem_oKt0rHAjKEzHUmS4XIvDmQ] so you’re the first to know about new trips, early access, and exclusive updates. Episode 28: Our visit to Bangkok, Thailand

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2266980/fan_mail/new] Welcome back to the podcast! Today we’re hopping on a plane, grabbing a poncho, and maybe dodging a speeding train—because Ana and Sandy of Two Peacocks Travel are taking us straight to Bangkok, Thailand. From sipping coconut water at the floating markets, to standing way too close for comfort at the Train Market (yes, the one where the train actually comes through), these two turned adventure into an Olympic sport. They zipped through Bangkok in tuk tuks, explored glamorous, jaw-dropping malls, and somehow managed to do it all in—wait for it—lots and lots of rain. Like, “is-this-a-monsoon-or-a-sign?” kind of rain. As we share these stories, we also want to pause and offer our sincere condolences to the King of Thailand and the Thai people on the recent passing of his mother. Traveling through Thailand reminded us not only of its energy and beauty, but also of the deep respect and reverence woven into its culture. So if you’ve ever wondered how to stay glamorous while soaking wet, laugh through chaos, and still fall completely in love with a city that never slows down—this episode is for you. Grab your umbrella, hold onto your shopping bags, and let’s explore Bangkok with Ana and Sandy of Two Peacocks Travel. 🦚🌧️🇹🇭 https://www.twopeacockstravel.com [https://www.twopeacockstravel.com] https://www.instagram.com/two_peacocks_travel/ [https://www.instagram.com/two_peacocks_travel/] https://www.youtube.com/@twopeacockstravel [https://www.youtube.com/@twopeacockstravel] https://www.facebook.com/twopeacockstravel [https://www.facebook.com/twopeacockstravel]
