TERRANCE L. BANKSTON, is the Senior Ports and Freight Campaigner at Friends of the Earth’s (FOE)’s Oceans and Vessels Program, directing organizing, coordination, and advocacy efforts in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Northwest regions to reduce air pollution from port and freight activity. In June of 2023, Terrance was recommended by the Commissioner for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and appointed by Governor Phil Murphy as a member of the Environmental Justice Advisory Council (EJAC.) Terrance has also worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), and Clean Water Action in New Jersey. In 2021 and 2022, Terrance co-led an Environmental Justice campaign, defeating Amazon and the NY/NJ Port Authority.
Between 2005 and 2010, Mr. Bankston was hired as a political operative for the then Mayor and now U.S. Senator, Cory A. Booker and the Booker Team for Newark.
JONATHAN ALSTON, is co-producer of the streaming show All Politics R Local where he interviews politicians, activists, and artists. He has been an award-winning high school debate coach in Newark, NJ for over thirty years. He was inducted into the National Speech and Debate Association’s Hall of Fame in 2024. Currently, he is integrating the skills students learn in debate across Newark school's curriculum and creating models of debate integration that can be used at other high schools and middle schools in Newark.
Mr. Alston Specialties Include: Communication, argumentation, critical reading, persuasive writing. I am also very good moderating public debates.
LaTIA McNEELY-SANDFORD, MSW is a Master's Level Social Worker (MSW) who’s held a number of executive positions in leading New Jersey organizations. During her 20 year career she’s served, advocated for families, guided agencies to success and impacted policy that governs social services systems.
Today, LaTia is a published author of the book (Burdens in My Backpack), and Founder and Executive Producer of Lions Vision Productions Studios; a New Jersey based multimedia production company that specializes in script to screen media film production, digital marketing content and video production. Currently, she serves as the Executive Director for her non-profit, LVP MISSION MEDIA where the mission is to empower marginalized people by providing programs and services that improve the quality of their lives, opening access to resources & opportunities that strengthen their voices, producing art that mainstream their experiences, promote civic engagement and affect systemic change.
