Dr. Anikó’s Healing Mission: Dr. Anikó is a board-certified Integrative Pediatrician passionate about keeping families healthy—body, mind, and spirit. Through the practice of Integrative Medicine, which blends conventional and alternative approaches, she supports the whole person and recognizes that true healing includes physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental wellness. She loved her work in clinical practice, but over time realized that short pediatric visits often weren’t enough. While children’s needs were addressed, parents—especially mothers—rarely felt there was space for their own struggles. Sometimes they didn’t even feel entitled to use that space for themselves. Dr. Anikó knew this needed to change. Then her own world shifted. During her second pregnancy, she stepped away from her practice. Though she had one child already, her second postpartum experience was dramatically different—and far more difficult. She lacked the support she’d had the first time, and the overwhelming physical and spiritual shifts caught her off guard. The world expected her to “have it all figured out,” but instead, she felt isolated and exhausted. Her body had been sending signals—deep anxiety, fear, unease—but without someone there to reflect those warning signs, she missed them. Her journey through postpartum burnout became a wake-up call: if she, with her medical training and resources, could feel this unsupported, how many others were silently suffering too? As she began to recover, friends and strangers began reaching out—asking questions, sharing struggles, and seeking support for things they didn’t feel comfortable bringing up with their pediatricians or OBs. Babywearing, feeding confusion, fears, doubts—conversations that began with babies often turned into deep discussions about maternal health and healing. That’s when the idea for Moonflower was born. Dr. Anikó realized she could create the sacred space mothers needed—one that honored the transformation of childbirth, not just for the baby, but for the entire family. She began offering families support drawn from her years of study in conventional medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Ayurveda, herbalism, mind-body healing, and beyond. Because Integrative Medicine means we get to choose what works from across the globe—and customize healing to the individual. She believes postpartum care must reflect this same flexibility. While modern Western medicine excels at certain things, it often overlooks postpartum healing and restoration. Yet cultures around the world have built powerful traditions to support new parents in this life-altering transition. And now, with global access to wisdom, we can integrate practices that feel aligned—be it nutritional support, spiritual tools, movement, or rest rituals. Dr. Anikó’s mission is to honor the sacred cocoon of the postpartum period—a space to hunker down, heal, and emerge transformed. She believes this window of time is not simply about “bouncing back,” but about becoming: emerging as your truest, most nourished, most powerful self. Moonflower exists to hold that space—for mothers, for families, for the transformation that birth brings. It is the support system the modern world forgot to build, and the one she is now lovingly creating. “We cannot transform without the cocoon. Without it, we become a weaker version of a self whose form no longer fits. We need to stop, hunker down, and heal for that transformation to happen. But we can’t do it without support. Moonflower is that support.” —Dr. Anikó ✨ Learn more: www.draniko.com
