Our 2026 Wests Tigers Mid-Year Report Card

The Wests Tigers (and us fans) have enjoyed a much-needed weekend off, and with this comes a great chance to deliver our mid-year report card. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast [https://www.youtube.com/@weststigerspodcast3369], Joel, Josh, and Nick come up with their own individual take on several aspects of the season so far. These include: * Biggest surprise? * Biggest frustration? * What needs fixing in the short and medium term? And we have the Wests Tigers Podcast, Mid-Year Player Awards, with categories including: * Best player * Most improved player * Best signing * Best young player * Most disappointing player And one last category, are you more hopeful or less hopeful as a Wests Tigers fan than you were in Round 2? Of course, the boys also discuss the big news that the Wests Tigers are off to Las Vegas in February 2027 [https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2026/05/20/wests-tigers-confirmed-for-rugby-league-las-vegas-2027/]! And, how do we feel about the possibility that Connor Watson [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connor_Watson] could be coming to Tiger Town? All this and more on this fresh edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast! Thanks for listening or watching, and don't forget to have your say on anything to do with the club on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum [https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/forum/]. It's Not Easy Being Black, Gold and White Right Now

It's not easy being green, well, we reckon sometimes it's harder being our famous colours! The Wests Tigers slumped to a third straight loss at the weekend, this time outclassed by Manly in Magic Round by 46-18 [https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2026/round-11/wests-tigers-v-sea-eagles/]. In a team full of guys that try hard, but just don't have the size, speed, and class of the guys they are deputising for, Manly probably outplayed the Tigers in every aspect.  On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast [https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast/id1445368434], Joel, Declan, and Josh put the game under the microscope. Some of the main talking points across this edition of the podcast also include: * Does Jarome Luai deserve some of the harsh criticism he's been copping? * Madden injured? Who comes into the halves? * Herbert suspended, who plays centre? * How much did we miss Alex Twal? * Are there any other fullback options other than Mason? * Do we now go to market for a centre with Taylan May gone for the year? Of course, we also share our own 'One Word' submissions, and all those received from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum [https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/forum/]. Keep your chin up, Wests Tigers fans, we get a much-needed week off and have some classy players on the cusp of an NRL return. We discuss just how much of a recruitment win this is for the club. Yes, that now famous twerk also gets a mention! We also dive into other red-hot Wests Tigers [https://www.weststigers.com.au/] topics, including: * Why the Fainu brothers MUST be locked down long term * The impact of losing Samuela until Round 22 * NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg smashing Melbourne * Logan Brookes, Javon Andrews & Ethan Roberts watch * Buy, Sell, Hold * Nathan Cleary to the Tigers in 2028?!  * The ladder is tightening up before the bye * Magic Round preview vs Manly at Suncorp [https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2026/round-11/wests-tigers-v-sea-eagles/] Plus score predictions, how the Tigers can win, and whether this side can stop the slide before it becomes a problem. episode Is this the Wests Tigers Slip 'N' Slide? artwork

Is this the Wests Tigers Slip 'N' Slide?

Well, it happened again. Wests Tigers managed to help a struggling rival find some form, and in the meantime, our promising start to the season is starting to look shaky. Sure, we're missing some of our best players, but are we on that traditional slip 'N' slide down the ladder to our customary "also ran" level? On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast [https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/wests-tigers-podcast/id1445368434], Joel, Nick, and Josh take a look at whether the two heavy losses in the last two weeks spell the end, or is this just a dip before a major correction? There's a review of the Wests Tigers' performance against the Storm [https://www.nrl.com/draw/nrl-premiership/2026/round-10/storm-v-wests-tigers/], including a small handful of positives and passmarks from the game. Some players, though, despite probably trying hard, come in for a bit of scrutiny. As does the referee, who we believe had a particularly poor performance on Sunday afternoon. Then there's a little bit of a look ahead at the possible line-up for this weekend's Manly game. The boys look at whether Benji Marshall should opt to roll the dice and make some changes, including potentially trying to revert to some strategies that were working for us earlier in the season. Naturally, there's also a healthy list of well-thought-out 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum [https://weststigerspodcast.com.au/forum/] too. Speaking of the forum, we'd love to see you interacting and having your say there, so please feel free to join up and get involved. It's a tough time (again) to be a Wests Tiger, but let's stick together and hope the good times return real soon. episode Melbourne Next Stop On Wests Tigers Roller Coaster! artwork

Melbourne Next Stop On Wests Tigers Roller Coaster!

Nick does his best to turn his frown upside down! On episode 462 of the Wests Tigers Podcast, we cover one of the biggest news story weeks the club has had in a long time… and there’s plenty to unpack. We kick things off by welcoming Joel, Josh & Aaron before diving straight into the big one - Jahream Bula commits until 2030. What it means for the future of the club, and why this deal feels different. What a roller coaster of emotions it has been for Wests Tigers fans in recent weeks! We also give credit where it’s due after a strong response from the club following the Luai-to-Chiefs news — is this a sign things are finally shifting behind the scenes? Then it’s all about the next generation. The Fainu brothers are front and centre with reports that the club is working to lock them all in long-term. Is this the foundation we’ve been waiting for? Of course… it wouldn’t be a Tigers season without an injury crisis! We break down the latest hits, what it means for the run ahead, and how the team can survive the next month. Plus: “50 is the new 30” — are blowout scores just the new normal? Buy, Sell, Hold (Leniu, Api, Top 8 hopes). Are the Tigers starting to slide? Let’s look at the ladder… And a HUGE match preview as we head into a clash where the odds don’t quite make sense. This one’s honest, passionate, and packed with debate. Listen now and join the conversation.
