Because in parts of the world there are still child brides and men crash out over the idea that the age of consent will be raised. Because women’s medical research is a joke and maternal mortality rises during certain regimes. Because 16% to 20% of biographies on the English Wikipedia are about women, as if we suddenly popped up 30 years ago in history. Because we know more about male pattern baldness than we do about fibroids. Because men make literal millions from peddling misogyny online which has real world consequences. Because when Amelia Airhart apparently didn't get scooped by the Bermuda triangle, she was just ignored by a man who thought her distress signals were a hoax. I do it because I feel more straight men should be pegged, and I feel they would enjoy it but patriarchy is holding them back.
