Eric Wignall interviews Jeff Jaskowiak and Alby Odum about the unique program they developed called the Digital Audio Recording Arts major. Jeff and Alby describe the foundation of the program as being a musician, a technician and an entrepreneur. They discuss their novel coursework, their successful internship program, the access to the state-of-the-art recording/editing facility, the value of a degree and the DARA community of creativity. If you are a bitten music creator this is a must listen and a viable option.
Another “Why USF” with students Lily and Alex. Lily speaks of why she chose the USF nursing program and how she navigates its rigors. Alex was a political science major who loved the USF experience so much that he became an admissions counselor at USF. They appreciated the flexibility to their schedules and how USF enables one to find out what it is they love and help them to find their true passion.
This “Why USF” gives a birds-eye view of the educational journey and university experience from two students from diverse backgrounds. Josh is a student from England as an international business logistics major and Liz has a double major in communications and management. They talk about their involvement in sports, student activities and campus life. Josh and Liz discuss the personal touch of USF, how soon students take courses in their major and some surprises. Their love and dedication to USF is evident.
The ever inspiring and effervescent Dean of COBHA, Orlando Griego, speaks of his vision and the accomplishments, the accreditations, the competitiveness, and the success of the graduates of COBHA. Orlando is a very invigorating, engaging servant leader. Orlando sees his role as Dean to empower and encourage his staff and his students to make a difference, to dream big, to be relevant, to be purple cows, to live out the Franciscan worldview, and affect the world. A must listen!
