Over An Artist's Way of Healing Podcast

An Artist's Way of Healing is a new podcast that explores the idea that art heals individuals in the most beautiful, vulnerable, and miraculous ways.  In fact, according to americanforthearts.org, at least 7 out of 10 Americans see the arts improving healing and healthcare experiences. As humans, we are constantly seeking for satisfaction in our daily lives and for new ways on how to cope with the many stressful situations that life brings our way. Whether you are facing a traumatic event, attempting to overcome an experience, trying to identify who you are as a person, or simply helping people with troublesome scenarios in their own lives, the arts could be a healing outlet and a way to help cope with these issues. In this podcast, we will explore healing through the arts including Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Martial Arts, Yoga Arts, Liberal Arts, Culinary Arts, and more!

It’s time to reflect…But don’t forget to put a bit of you in there…

Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2286562/open_sms] We made it to the end of Season 1 together. Bravo! What a journey! But is it over? Not exactly. There’s so many things to talk about! As we wrap up Season 1 of this courageous journey, Jonathan reminds his listeners to be mindful of their gestures, not only to themselves, but to other people daily. Listen in as Jonathan talks about respecting boundaries, being mindful of one’s comfort zone, breaking down societal norms, and to always do things the way you want to do it, without being pressured by anyone else to be like others. Above it all, always remember to be kind and to spread as much unbearable love as you can. Most importantly, just remember to be you, because being you is always okay, and no validation is ever needed. If you liked this episode, don't forget to Rate, Review and Subscribe/Follow! Send a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/2286562/open_sms] In this day and age, the majority of us work with therapists to iron out the many challenges that life presents to us in our everyday lives. Some of use therapy to provide clarity on personal struggles and others may use it for work struggles. There are so many other reasons as well. No matter the reason that you see a therapist, one thing that we can all agree on is that there may have been some aspect of that session that has provided clarity in our own lives.  Tune into this unique episode as we listen to Jason Wieder, Licensed Master of Social Work and Professional Actor, as he takes a deep dive into how he has managed to utilize both sides of his profession, to not only provide more givens to his character on stage on a psychological level, but to also to combine several creatives in his daily practice that will benefit his everyday clients. In this episode, Jason provides definitions that are normally used in the clinical therapy field, provides definitions so that everyday people can understand, and takes us on a deep dive journey to what is really going on psychologically in people's minds and why people react the way they do to specific circumstances. Lastly, he explains how the arts are a beneficial tool that can be used to not only heal his patients, but to help himself in everyday situations. Join me in this beautiful conversation with Professional Chef and Culinary Artist Liliana Cabrera, as we dig deep into her role as Vice President of Operations at Red Rabbit, LLC, and how the organization has been accredited as the nation's leading Black-owned K-12 school food management company, a social justice movement, and a company that dedicates itself to uplifting Black and Latino kids in public schools with Chef-prepared, culturally relevant foods.  Most of all, listen in as Chef Liliana discusses why the Red Rabbit mission is important to her and how she makes it an ultimate goal to help children and their families find a sense of healing every single day.
