Why Storytelling is So Powerful in Healthcare Marketing

Healthcare marketing is a unique field because of the emotion that it elicits from people. When done correctly, storytelling can be an incredibly powerful tool to connect with potential patients and promote your brand. In this blog post, we will discuss the power of storytelling in healthcare marketing and explore some examples of how it has been used successfully! The healthcare industry is one that is full of emotion. From the joy of a new baby being born to the heartache of a loved one being diagnosed with a terminal illness, there are so many opportunities for healthcare marketers to connect with potential patients on an emotional level. And what better way to do that than through storytelling? Storytelling has been used by healthcare marketers for years to great effect. One famous example is Johnson & Johnson’s “Our Story” campaign from 2001. This campaign told the stories of real people who had been touched by J&J products and how those products had made a positive impact on their lives. The campaign was incredibly successful, helping to increase brand awareness and sales for J&J. More recently, storytelling has been used to great effect by the Cleveland Clinic, one of the leading healthcare organizations in the world. In their “Every Life Deserves World Class Care” campaign, they told the stories of patients from all over the world who had come to the Cleveland Clinic for treatment. These stories were incredibly moving and helped to position the Cleveland Clinic as a leader in global healthcare. So why is storytelling so powerful in healthcare marketing? There are a few reasons: It helps you connect with potential patients on an emotional level. It allows you to share your brand’s story in a way that is relatable and memorable. It can help increase brand awareness and sales. If you’re looking for a way to connect with potential patients and promote your healthcare brand, tell a story! RULE #6: ENGAGE

Good morning everybody! Here is step number six for creating a powerful R. O. I. focused social media plan. Step 6 is ENGAGE. It's something that I think a lot of people forget, including myself, I forgot about this or didn't really understand it for a long time.  It's really important that you're not just creating content but that you are engaging with other people -- both people who comment on your content, but also engaging on other people's content. That's really what makes social media social, right? Before, I just didn't really understand that. I spent a lot of time just creating content, content, content and didn't really have a lot of growth. But once I started engaging -- Number 1: it started increasing my own engagement. But it also helped me to enjoy using social media more because I started using it for what it was for, which was to create a network. And if you haven't heard the term before or this quote before -- "your network is your net worth. "   And so creating a network is really important. And enjoying the process is even more important. So make sure that you are engaging everyday, not just on comments people leave for you, but also on other people's content that fit your niche.
