5/10/26 Wrestling with Worry

In this episode we discuss Aaron's message from Matthew 6:25-34 on the topic of worry and anxiety. In this episode, we offered a few practical tools to help slow down and combat worry, one of which is called the Self-Examine. Here's the outline for how to practice Self-Examine: Set up: to do this practice, begin with a brief moment of silence in prayer preparing your mind to focus on God and hear from Him.  Then, as you walk through each question, take time to really think through it in prayer, and then take a moment and pause in prayer after working through each question before moving to the next.  The point of this exercise is to slow down and pay attention to things we often miss in our busy lives and let God speak into them.     1.   What was life-giving for me today (or this week if doing this weekly)?     2.   What was life-draining for me today (or this week)?    3.   Where were places I noticed God working?  Where were places I missed God working?     4.   What is God trying to teach me through this?    Other Questions to Consider:   5.   In light of this, is there anything I need to do or confess to someone in response?    6.   How do I think God sees me in light of all of this?
