Ep. 34 The Hidden Ways we Deplete Ourselves

Most of the depletion that healers experience is not coming from the obvious places. The long client session, the demanding launch, the season of life that asks a great deal. Those are visible. We can account for them and rest afterwards. The depletion I explore in this episode is the kind that happens quietly, consistently, and often in direct proportion to how sensitive and devoted you are to your work. Until we can see it clearly, we cannot begin to address it. In this episode: the three hidden drains that accumulate beneath the surface of a working life, why sensitive practitioners are particularly prone to carrying what is not theirs to hold, how constant self-questioning costs far more energy than most of us realise, and what it means to begin creating a genuine boundary between what is yours and what is not. Essence spotlight: The Umbel family, Apiaceae. Elder, angelica, fennel, cow parsley. These are plants of the threshold, comfortable at the boundary between one thing and another, and deeply supportive of the nervous system and energetic boundaries. Yarrow from my own range carries both sunlight and moonlight expressions, addressing the restoration of the boundary between what is genuinely yours to give and what has been given out of habit, conditioning, or the quiet fear of giving less. Ep.33 The Capacity to Hold More

Growth without the internal capacity to hold it is almost always uncomfortable. And that discomfort is often misread as a sign that something has gone wrong, that the visibility should be reduced, the price brought back down, the offer withdrawn. In this episode I explore what actually happens in the body and energy system when more begins to arrive, and why the stretch that comes with expansion is not a signal to retreat but a sign that something real is opening. This is one of the most overlooked conversations in sacred business, and it is worth naming directly. In this episode: why capacity rather than strategy is often the real ceiling, what the internal contraction of growth actually feels like from the inside, and how to stay present to the discomfort of expansion without interpreting it as a reason to make yourself smaller again. Essence spotlight: The Rose family, Rosaceae, with their deep gripping root systems and five-petalled flowers that are both fragrant and uplifting. Patricia Kaminski writes that this family stimulates greater forces of idealism, love and commitment, helping the will to find its right balance and direction for life on earth. From my own range, Orange Rose, Red Rose and Sovereignty Rose each carry a distinct quality of this expansion from the inside out. Ep. 32 Why Receiving Feels So Difficult

Rise Healer Rise – Episode 33 Why Receiving Feels So Difficult This episode opens a new six-part series on one of the most overlooked capacities in healing work: the ability to receive. Many of the women doing the most profound work in the world have built an identity almost entirely around giving. Somewhere along the way, the channel that allows things to flow back in has quietly narrowed. This episode explores why that happens, and what it means to begin building capacity in the other direction. This is not a personal failing. It is an energetic pattern, and like all patterns, it can shift. In this episode: why receiving feels dangerous for sensitive practitioners, how over-giving becomes structural rather than situational, and why the income ceiling, the unmet recognition, and the persistent depletion so many healers experience are often connected to the same root. Essence spotlight: The Lily family, and in particular Orange Lily, whose affinity with the Conception Vessel and the Divine Feminine receiving principle makes her a natural ally for this work. aflevering Ep. 31 Stepping into the Authorship of your own Medicine artwork

Ep. 31 Stepping into the Authorship of your own Medicine

There comes a point where the question in your heart and mind begin to change. Not "what else do I need to learn?" but "am I ready to begin creating from what I already know?" This episode is for those who can feel that threshold, those who sense their work is ready to deepen and who are no longer looking for more, but for something more true. In this episode I explore what it means to step into authorship of your own medicine, the moment when the path shifts from learning and applying to living and embodying. This is not a sudden leap but a recognition that something is asking to move through you, and that you may already be more ready than you think. We look at what this decision point actually feels like, who this path tends to call, and what it genuinely asks of the people who follow it. I also share one of the essences I work with, Crimson Rose, and how her medicine speaks directly to the devotion at the heart of this work. This episode is an invitation to consider whether you are at that threshold and what it might mean to say yes to what is asking to come through you. I cover * What the decision point feels like and how to recognise it in yourself * Who this path tends to call and who it may not be for * What this work actually offers over time, and what it does not promise * The difference between adding something to your practice and truly embodying it * The movement from practitioner to author of your own medicine * Why devotion, not effort, is what anchors this kind of work Key Takeaways * The next step in your work may not be more learning but a willingness to create from what you already carry * This path asks for presence, honesty and depth over time rather than quick results or rigid methods * The shift from learning to living your work changes not just what you offer but how others experience it * Readiness for this path is less about having everything figured out and more about recognising that something is asking to move through you * Devotion to what matters in your work is what grounds and sustains this kind of creation over time Essence Ally — Crimson Rose Crimson Rose holds a deep sense of devotion, a return to why you are here in the first place. She speaks to embodiment rather than output, to living your work rather than simply offering it, and to coming closer to what truly matters rather than doing more. In the context of this episode, she reflects something central to this path: the work deepens not through accumulation but through a willingness to bring yourself fully into relationship with it. Crimson Rose supports that quality of presence, the kind that allows your medicine to become genuinely your own. This work is something I am currently opening as a small, six-month space, a place to explore creating your own essences and developing your work in relationship with what wants to come through you. There is also an optional in-person retreat here in France for those who feel called to experience this more deeply in nature. If something in this episode resonates, you are welcome to get in touch and explore whether it feels like the right next step for where you are now. aflevering Ep.30 - When your Medicine Comes Through you artwork

Ep.30 - When your Medicine Comes Through you

There comes a point in your practice where something begins to shift, not in what you are doing, but in how you are relating to your work. You may still be using the same tools and working in the same way on the surface, and yet underneath something feels different. More direct, more settled, less effortful. In this episode, I explore this movement, the moment when your work stops coming only from what you have learned and begins to come through you. This is not a concept but something many practitioners begin to experience as their work matures, and it asks for a different kind of attention. We look at what this shift actually feels like, why the instinct at this stage is often to look for more training or more confirmation, and what is usually being asked instead. I also share one of the essences I work with, Bearded Iris, and how its medicine speaks directly to this moment in a practitioner's journey. This episode is an invitation to trust what you already carry, not instead of what you have learned, but alongside it. I cover * The shift that happens when your work begins to come through you rather than only from you * Why practitioners at this stage often reach for more learning when something else is being asked * What it means to move from applying what you know to trusting what you sense * The difference between method and presence in your practice * How this shift does not replace your training but changes how you hold it * Why this stage asks for self-trust rather than more confirmation Key Takeaways * Growth at this stage may not come from learning more but from trusting more deeply what you already carry * The work begins to move differently when you stop reaching for certainty and allow what is already present to inform you * This is not about confidence in the mind but a recognition that lives in the body * The shift from practitioner to someone whose work comes through them is not sudden and builds over time in small moments of following what you sense * What you have learned does not disappear but becomes something you hold differently Essence Ally - Bearded Iris Bearded Iris carries a clear and grounded message: you know how to do this. Not as something the mind decides, but as something the body already recognises. It supports the practitioner who is ready to trust their own direct knowing rather than continuing to look outward for the next step or the next confirmation. In the context of this episode, it reflects something worth sitting with: the next level of your work may not require more learning but a deeper willingness to trust what is already there. This work is something I am currently opening as a small, six-month space, a place to explore creating your own essences and developing a more direct relationship with what wants to come through you and your work.
