It is important that we know the biblical God. And for some reason today, people believe that there is a difference between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. And that is simply false. When we look at Scripture, we see that our God, it says in the Book of Exodus that he is a man of war. A very important doctrine clearly found in the scripture has to do with the divinity of Messiah. We all want God to work in our life. We want him to move in our situations. And in order to ensure that God is going to be responsive to our prayers, we need to consider ourselves as his slave. Now in the Scripture, there is a word. Many times we find that Bibles translate this word as a servant, but when we get to the heart of that word, it means a slave, someone who is absolutely in bondage to another. And the point that we need to see concerning our identity in the Messiah is that we become slaves of God.
