In this episode of On The Way, I talk about a question that many people wrestle with: does God actually command Christians to have children? This conversation led me to spend time in Scripture, looking at what God really says about it. While the Bible shows that humanity is called to be fruitful and multiply, it also makes clear that this is not necessarily an individual command for every person. At the same time, children are consistently described as a blessing, something to be valued and welcomed. As the New Testament is considered, there is also a strong focus on spiritual fruitfulness, reminding us that life is meant to reflect God and build His kingdom in different ways. I also take time to speak to those who are single or walking through seasons of childlessness, because this is not about pressure or comparison, but about understanding God’s design for each life. Ultimately, I share why this may not be a direct command, but is still something deeply encouraged, especially when thinking about the impact of passing faith on to the next generation.
