P.S Please Include Me In Your Dreams

ART-efact Oswestry Artist In Residence Megan Hayward has produced a creative audio piece exploring love stories from in and around the town over the last century. Megan was drawn to stories of love and how, no matter what your sexual orientation, they resonate with us all. Megan sought to find love stories from all corners of the local community, inviting people to share their personal accounts or how their parents fell in love. These shared stories, including a grandmother’s love letters, along with selected content of the Gilbert and Gordon love letters, have shaped the writing of a creative audio piece titled ‘P.S Please Include Me In Your Dreams’. In this soundscape, Megan uses a blend of sound effects from wartime and the present day, weaving the spoken word into a timeless account of that first spark, of love in its many forms, gifted and received.
