In this episode, Steph goes live with Brock Yost, executive director of the Teenage CrossFit Games, to talk about updates to the competition. Both the Pit Teen Throwdown and the Pit Collegiate Throwdown will be part of the Games celebration. So 270 athletes ages 14-22 total will be in Southwest Michigan to cap the 2024 season.

Emily Avery, 19, lost her arm two years ago in a car accident. She's used CrossFit as her "physical therapy," and just recently won the WheelWod Games' Upper Extremity: 1 Point of Contact first-place podium. This young athlete credits her friends, community and coach at The Pit for helping her learn to push through, to get stronger and - most importantly, she said - to enjoy it. Hear from this wise teen (almost 20 LOL) about 1-armed push-ups, learning to do many things differently, and why CrossFit is a perfect modality for youth health and wellness.
