Abide - Bear Much Fruit - Ps Aaron

What does a life fully connected to Jesus actually look like? After six weeks in our Abide series, we're discovering that staying connected to the Vine produces something beautiful: the fruit of the Spirit. Jesus mentions fruit NINE times in John 15. Paul lists NINE expressions of the Spirit's fruit in Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This isn't coincidence—it's intentional. When we abide in Christ, He forms us into a people of love. The question isn't whether you're trying harder or doing more. It's this: Are you becoming more loving? Would the people closest to you say you're growing in patience, kindness, and peace? That's the fruit of abiding. You didn't manufacture it—God grew it in you as you remained connected to Him. The vine is open. The invitation to abide in His love is for anyone willing to come and stay.

"I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you." - John 14:18 This Mother's Day, we explored one of Jesus' most powerful promises: you are never alone. Before leaving His disciples, Jesus didn't just say goodbye—He prepared a gift. The Helper. The Holy Spirit. The Comforter who stands by us in every valley, every season of pressure, and every moment we feel abandoned. Maybe you know the ache of abandonment. Maybe Mother's Day is complicated for you. Jesus sees you right where you are, and His love isn't based on your performance or your past. The password to everything the Father has for you is simply: "I love You, Jesus." You're not an orphan. You're a beloved son or daughter of the Father, and He is well pleased with you. The Spirit wasn't sent as an afterthought—He was prepared for you before you knew you needed Him.

This Sunday, Pastor Aaron got vulnerable about the tension between comfort and growth—between remaining connected to the vine and the temptation to disconnect when things get uncomfortable. What does it really mean to love like Jesus? Not just feel love, but actively choose it—especially when it's hard, inconvenient, or costly. This week we discovered that abiding in Christ produces one undeniable fruit: love. Not the convenient kind, but cross-shaped love. The kind that initiates, serves, forgives, and sacrifices. Jesus said it twice in five verses: "Love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12-17). That's how important this is. Here's the truth: we can't manufacture this love by trying harder. We produce it by staying connected to the Vine. When we abide in Jesus, love flows naturally into our lives and overflows into our community. This is our witness. This is how the world will know we belong to Him. The clearest evidence you're abiding isn't how much you know about Jesus or how long you've followed Him—it's how you love people.

Abide - Pruning - Amy Burkholder

What if the things God is removing from your life aren't punishment, but favor? 🌿 This Sunday, we celebrated 4 years of Purpose Church and discovered a powerful truth: pruning is a loving part of our formation. Just as a vine dresser carefully removes branches to produce better fruit, God prunes our lives—removing distractions, dead relationships, and even good things that prevent the BEST. In John 15:1-3, Jesus calls Himself the true vine and invites us to remain in Him. But first, He warns us: pruning is coming. Not to harm us, but to help us produce the fruit of love, joy, peace, and purpose. The question isn't IF we'll be pruned, but will we surrender and give God access? Your identity isn't in what you DO—it's in whose you ARE. You're His beloved child, and He's refining you for something beautiful.
