Over SKELETAL LEAP

SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton can take the way it habitually postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally. It took me quite a few years to analyze it fully, and then a few more to turn the results of my analysis into a feasible action plan. And now, SKELETAL LEAP is that feasible action plan for self healing, resulting in mental health and wellness as well as physical health and fitness. I come up with a new weekly episode every Sunday morning for miraculous healing enthusiasts to start their weekly off-days with what they like the most! Fix Your Body Posture for an Amazing Chakra Cleanse! – Podcast Episode 24

FIX YOUR BODY POSTURE FOR AN AMAZING CHAKRA CLEANSE! Welcome back to the 24th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Fix Your Body Posture for an Amazing Chakra Cleanse!” will tell you about how skeletal re-posturing opens chakras through completing our bipedal skeletal evolution. As it happened, their skeleton started evolving to suit itself to bipedalism as much as it could. It changed in its arrangement of bones with respect to one another as well as in their shapes and sizes. Though running became less energy-efficient, walking was much more important. Hence the trade-off worked. It increased their locomotion tremendously. This  changed the lengths of their legs. 0:00:21.920,0:00:28.800 My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome to  “Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure”. 0:00:28.800,0:00:34.160 Skeletal Leap transforms one’s  life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.160,0:00:38.320 Today’s episode will tell you  about how skeletal re-posturing 0:00:38.320,0:00:44.480 opens chakras through completing  our bipedal skeletal evolution. 0:00:44.480,0:00:51.440 Human bipedalism started around 4-7 million  years ago when our ancestors named hominins 0:00:51.440,0:00:58.480 stood on their twos. As it happened, their  skeleton started evolving to suit itself to 0:00:58.480,0:01:05.040 bipedalism as much as it could. It changed  in its arrangement of bones with respect to 0:01:05.040,0:01:12.240 one another as well as in their shapes  and sizes. The changes involved were… 0:01:12.240,0:01:19.040 New arrangement and size of foot bones  | Hip size and shape | Knee size | Leg 0:01:19.040,0:01:26.160 length | Shape and orientation of  vertebral column | Skull orientation 0:01:26.160,0:01:33.200 Bipedalism made walking more energy-efficient  and human movement much easier. Though running 0:01:33.200,0:01:39.920 became less energy-efficient, walking was much  more important. Hence the trade-off worked. 0:01:39.920,0:01:48.400 It increased their locomotion tremendously. Bipedalism Driven Skeletal Evolution Details 0:01:48.400,0:01:54.240 There were other trade-offs as well, all through  the skeletal system, that Homo sapiens have been 0:01:54.240,0:02:01.600 dealing with the adverse effects of, ever since.  In the rest of this episode, I will endeavor to 0:02:01.600,0:02:08.160 describe various parts of our skeleton while  pointing out those particular trade-offs that 0:02:08.160,0:02:15.600 apply to each of those parts. I will, then, go  on to describe the ideal position/ posture of 0:02:15.600,0:02:21.520 those parts while bringing our attention to how  we have gotten used to their ‘unhealthy’ versions. 0:02:22.240,0:02:26.320 This will be followed by descriptions  of the corresponding biological/ 0:02:26.320,0:02:33.920 psychological ailments arising from those  ‘unhealthy’ positions/ postures. Finally, 0:02:33.920,0:02:40.640 I will arrive at my most significant discovery  and thesis which is to ascribe the appropriate 0:02:40.640,0:02:46.400 chakras to these ‘unhealthy’ positions/  postures and their resultant ailments. 0:02:47.120,0:02:53.280 Needless to say, this will be accompanied with  the necessary actions required to dissolve those 0:02:53.280,0:02:57.120 chakras. Foot: 0:02:57.120,0:03:03.680 With the help of newly evolved larger heels,  the foot increased in size. This enabled it 0:03:03.680,0:03:08.880 to work like a platform on which the body  weight could easily rest. It also turned 0:03:08.880,0:03:15.360 the toes smaller than before as they were no  more used to grasp things like tree trunks. 0:03:16.160,0:03:22.400 The foot, as a platform, didn’t evolve as  a flat surface but did so as an arched one. 0:03:22.400,0:03:27.200 This arching distributed the body weight along  the feet from their heels to their balls behind 0:03:27.200,0:03:34.000 the big toes. This weight distribution  conserved a lot of energy while walking. 0:03:34.000,0:03:39.040 Here, I feel the need to share my observations  from training people in re-posturing through 0:03:39.040,0:03:46.160 Skeletal Leap. The energy conservation in walking  resulting from body weight distribution is the 0:03:46.160,0:03:54.240 ideal state. What I have noticed in the majority  of my trainees is something different. Owing to 0:03:54.240,0:03:59.600 posturing their body in a wrong way over years  and years, they distribute their body weight 0:03:59.600,0:04:06.080 on the outsides of their feet. Most of them  do so toward the outer sides of their heels 0:04:06.080,0:04:13.120 whereas the rest do toward their little toes. The  first thing I always check in my trainees is the 0:04:13.120,0:04:21.840 soles of their shoes. More specifically, where  those soles have worn the most. My data suggest 0:04:21.840,0:04:28.080 that most of the modern Homo sapiens distribute  their body weight on their feet the wrong way. 0:04:28.080,0:04:35.760 Today, the human foot is a complex structure  of 26 bones, 33 joints and hundreds of muscles, 0:04:35.760,0:04:40.080 tendons and ligaments. The  main joints of the foot are: 0:04:40.080,0:04:46.960 Ankle joint | Subtalar joint |  Interphalangeal foot articulations 0:04:46.960,0:04:53.760 A foot has three parts to it: The hindfoot comprises the ankle bone (talus) 0:04:53.760,0:05:00.880 and heel bone (calcaneus). The ankle bone connects  to tibia and fibula in the lower leg and forms the 0:05:00.880,0:05:08.080 ankle joint. At its other end, it connects to  the heel bone and forms the subtalar joint. 0:05:08.080,0:05:15.840 The midfoot has five bones: the cuboid, navicular  and three cuneiform bones from its arches, 0:05:15.840,0:05:20.400 serving as a shock absorber. It is  connected to the hindfoot and the 0:05:20.400,0:05:27.680 forefoot with muscles and plantar fascia.  The forefoot comprises five toes and five 0:05:27.680,0:05:35.040 proximal long bones forming metatarsus. Toe  bones are called phalanges. The joints among 0:05:35.040,0:05:40.800 these phalanges are named interphalangeal  joints while joints of phalanges with 0:05:40.800,0:05:48.240 metatarsus are named metatarsophalangeal joints. The human foot has two longitudinal and one 0:05:48.240,0:05:54.480 transverse arches. They make walking  and running more energy-efficient. 0:05:54.480,0:05:57.200 Knee: Human knee joints 0:05:57.200,0:06:01.920 have also evolved to support the increased  body weight between just the two of them, 0:06:01.920,0:06:09.360 as opposed to among the four before bipedalism. The degree of knee extension, meaning the angle 0:06:09.360,0:06:16.720 between the thigh and the shank in the walking  cycle, has decreased. This change called double 0:06:16.720,0:06:23.040 knee action reduces energy lost by vertical  displacement of the center of gravity. It 0:06:23.040,0:06:31.040 enables Homo sapiens to keep their knees straight  right under the body, improving its balance. 0:06:31.040,0:06:36.080 The knee joins the thigh and the leg with  two joints, tibiofemoral joint connecting 0:06:36.080,0:06:42.160 femur with tibia and patellofemoral  joint connecting femur and patella. 0:06:42.160,0:06:48.640 This modified hinge joint is the largest  joint in the body. It very efficiently 0:06:48.640,0:06:56.000 permits flexion and extension along with  a limited internal and external rotation. 0:06:56.000,0:07:01.200 Limbs: Evolution, driven by bipedalism, meant that Homo 0:07:01.200,0:07:08.000 sapiens were the only species to function with an  upright gait. This changed the lengths of their 0:07:08.000,0:07:14.800 legs. Today, leg muscles are the ones that give  a push, through their ankles, to the action of 0:07:14.800,0:07:23.840 walking. Longer legs also give an effortless swing  to the steps without using the muscles every time. 0:07:23.840,0:07:30.640 Since forelimbs, or hands as we now call them,  don’t play any role in the action of walking, they 0:07:30.640,0:07:37.520 have been freed to be used for other activities. Bipedal evolution provided Homo sapiens with 0:07:37.520,0:07:44.240 upper limbs for visually guided manipulation and  lower limbs for mechanically guided bipedal gait. 0:07:44.880,0:07:51.440 It also optimized the location of the body’s  center of gravity. It further reorganized the 0:07:51.440,0:07:58.720 internal organs and the biomechanism of the trunk  through a double S shaped vertebral column. Today, 0:07:58.720,0:08:05.920 the double S shape of the vertebral column is  an efficient shock absorber. The entire skeletal 0:08:05.920,0:08:12.240 system thus efficiently shifts the weight  of the upper body to the sole of the feet. 0:08:12.240,0:08:18.880 Long, load bearing legs are also  very nicely optimized for bipedalism. 0:08:18.880,0:08:25.200 All the large joints of the lower limb are  aligned in a vertically oriented straight line. 0:08:25.200,0:08:30.960 Hip and Pelvis: Bipedalism also resulted in larger hip 0:08:30.960,0:08:38.240 joints than before to better support the entire  body weight. It made the hip shorter and broader, 0:08:38.240,0:08:44.480 bringing the vertebral column closer to itself.  This re-arrangement provided a more stable 0:08:44.480,0:08:51.440 base for the support of the trunk while walking  upright. The ilium broadened, thereby adjusting 0:08:51.440,0:08:58.480 the walls of the pelvis to face laterally. The size of the gluteus muscles increased as well, 0:08:58.480,0:09:06.640 enabling Homo sapiens to assume a balanced stance  even on just one leg. The sacrum turned broader, 0:09:06.640,0:09:11.920 thus increasing the opening of the birth  canal in the females of the species. 0:09:11.920,0:09:18.320 Three pelvic bones fused into one as the hip bone.  Today, the hip joins the head of the femur to the 0:09:18.320,0:09:25.760 acetabulum of the pelvis. This joint supports  the weight of the body in its static as well as 0:09:25.760,0:09:33.680 dynamic state. Thus, the hip joint retains balance  and maintains the pelvic inclination angle. 0:09:33.680,0:09:38.560 Pelvic Tilt: Pelvic tilt is a movable postural orientation 0:09:38.560,0:09:45.280 of the pelvis. It is an orientation relative to  the thigh bones, knee joints and the soles of the 0:09:45.280,0:09:51.840 feet below. It also changes the orientation  of the hip joint. When postured right, it 0:09:51.840,0:09:59.840 subtly supports the weight of the vertebral column  above it while keeping its double S shape intact. 0:09:59.840,0:10:04.800 But that is just a description of  the ideal pelvic orientation. A major 0:10:04.800,0:10:10.960 chunk of the human population habitually  keeps this pelvic tilt wrongly postured. 0:10:10.960,0:10:15.120 There are two reasons for this  unhealthy habit formation. 0:10:15.760,0:10:21.920 The first one is the downward pull by gravity on  its orientation. People give in to this constant 0:10:21.920,0:10:29.520 downward pull when they lack enough life energy to  keep its orientation up. They just let the front 0:10:29.520,0:10:36.240 of their pelvis drop in relation to its back.  The newly acquired orientation called anterior 0:10:36.240,0:10:43.120 pelvic tilt also disrupts the orientation of  the hip joint. This further disrupts the double 0:10:43.120,0:10:49.520 S shape of the vertebral column above. Below,  it disrupts the load bearing distribution at 0:10:49.520,0:10:57.520 the knee joints and at the soles of the feet, thus  rendering the entire skeletal posture ‘unhealthy’. 0:10:57.520,0:11:03.600 The second reason is an emotionally driven,  ‘pulled-in’ psychological state that results in 0:11:03.600,0:11:10.800 same aforementioned ‘unhealthy’ skeletal posture. The aforementioned anterior pelvic tilt is just 0:11:10.800,0:11:17.440 one, albeit the most prevalent,  of its many abnormal orientations. 0:11:17.440,0:11:21.200 The second most prevalent of the  abnormal orientations of the pelvic 0:11:21.200,0:11:26.720 joint is the posterior pelvic tilt. Here is a complete list of pelvic 0:11:26.720,0:11:32.640 tilt abnormalities as and when its  orientation gets wrongly postured: 0:11:34.080,0:11:41.280 Anterior pelvic tilt drops the front of the pelvis  relative to the back of the pelvis. It shortens 0:11:41.280,0:11:50.960 the hip flexors and lengthens the hip extensors. Posterior pelvic tilt raises the front of the 0:11:50.960,0:11:55.200 pelvic relative to the back of  the pelvis. It lengthens the hip 0:11:55.200,0:12:03.680 flexors and shortens the hip extensors. Lateral pelvic tilt happens when one 0:12:03.680,0:12:10.400 keeps pelvis tilted to left or right  habitually, resulting in scoliosis. 0:12:11.600,0:12:18.960 Left pelvic tilt keeps the right side of  the pelvis raised more than the left side. 0:12:20.400,0:12:27.280 Right pelvic tilt keeps the left side of  the pelvis raised more than the right side. 0:12:27.280,0:12:32.800 Tailbone vis-à-vis Root Chakra: Pelvic tilt is the sole cause of 0:12:32.800,0:12:38.240 a closed root chakra appearing at the  lowest point, coccyx (aka tailbone), 0:12:38.240,0:12:46.080 of the vertebral column. Coccyx lies very near the  pelvic belt. And the pelvic tilt drops it down and 0:12:46.080,0:12:53.280 pushes it forward in the case of a posterior  pelvic tilt. When the pelvic tilt is anterior, 0:12:53.280,0:13:01.600 it still drops the coccyx down but pushes it  backward this time. Both these maneuvers sow the 0:13:01.600,0:13:08.480 seed of closed chakras eventually distorting  the double S curve of the vertebral column. 0:13:08.480,0:13:14.560 A closed root chakra also disrupts the anatomy  and hence the physiology of the pelvis, 0:13:14.560,0:13:23.360 hip and the lower limb. It disrupts the  pelvic, hip, knee, ankle and subtalar joints 0:13:23.360,0:13:31.440 with interphalangeal articulations of the feet and  the associated muscles, nerves and blood vessels. 0:13:31.440,0:13:40.880 As a result, the tailbone (coccyx) drops down as  well as moves forward or backward at the pelvis. 0:13:41.600,0:13:49.040 The body weight distribution on the hip, knees  and soles of the feet gets distorted centering its 0:13:49.040,0:13:57.280 thrust on the wrong points. With the passage of  time, one develops knee pain, sciatica, varicose 0:13:57.280,0:14:05.040 veins and constipation in case of posterior pelvic  tilt. When it is due to anterior pelvic tilt, 0:14:05.040,0:14:12.320 constipation gets replaced with chronic diarrhea. Symptoms of root chakra blockage are indicators of 0:14:12.320,0:14:18.960 lifestyle diseases related to the root chakra. It makes us feel ungrounded biologically 0:14:18.960,0:14:23.280 as well as psychologically. Hence  it keeps us perennially concerned 0:14:23.280,0:14:31.920 with survival and material security in life. More specifically, a posterior pelvic tilt turns 0:14:31.920,0:14:40.560 us into misers who fear losing whatever little  we have. Biologically, this manifests as 0:14:40.560,0:14:48.400 constipation, belly fat and/ or hemorrhoids. On the other hand, an anterior pelvic tilt 0:14:48.400,0:14:57.360 turns us into spendthrifts. Contrary to common  perception, this comes from a place of greed. 0:14:57.360,0:15:02.720 Here, I’d like to bring our attention back to  a point I made earlier, i.e., the opposite of 0:15:02.720,0:15:09.360 fear is not courage but greed. Therefore,  it makes us believe that our wealth would 0:15:09.360,0:15:17.520 never deplete even when a lot of it gets lost.  Biologically, this leads to chronic diarrhea. 0:15:17.520,0:15:20.960 Both types of pelvic tilts are  accompanied by other symptoms 0:15:20.960,0:15:27.200 such as acidity and loss of appetite. Opening the root chakra reverses the wrong 0:15:27.200,0:15:34.240 done to the pelvic tilt and makes the ideal  pelvic posture one’s first nature. Doing away 0:15:34.240,0:15:42.000 with our pelvic tilt tends to start the first  step toward a ‘healthy’ skeletal re-posturing. 0:15:42.000,0:15:45.520 Vertebral Column: The vertebral column 0:15:45.520,0:15:52.080 of Homo sapiens, in its natural posture,  has a forward bend in its lumbar region. 0:15:52.080,0:15:59.360 Above this, it has a backward bend in its thoracic  region. Together, these two bends give rise to the 0:15:59.360,0:16:05.920 double S shape of the vertebral column. Without  its forward bend in its lumbar region, the body 0:16:05.920,0:16:14.000 would have kept leaning forward. In that case it  would have needed a huge effort to stand upright. 0:16:14.000,0:16:18.480 The forward bend in the lumbar region and  the backward bend in the thoracic region 0:16:18.480,0:16:24.000 keep the body straight. These two bends  do so by keeping the body’s center of 0:16:24.000,0:16:29.760 gravity vertically in line with its feet. The vertebral column is what makes Homo 0:16:29.760,0:16:38.080 sapiens a vertebrate that has a long chain of  vertebrae separated by intervertebral discs. 0:16:38.080,0:16:43.520 Their nomenclature is done by their region  – denoted by a letter – within the vertebral 0:16:43.520,0:16:51.440 column and their position – denoted by a number  – within that region. The vertebral column also 0:16:51.440,0:17:00.000 has a spinal canal for housing the spinal cord. Nomenclature of the vertebrae: Cervical spine 7 0:17:00.000,0:17:09.840 vertebrae (C1 - C7) | Thoracic spine 12  vertebrae (T1 - T12) | Lumbar spine 5 0:17:09.840,0:17:21.600 vertebrae (L1 -L5) | Sacrum 5 fused vertebrae  (S1 -S5) | Coccyx 4 fused vertebrae (Tailbone) 0:17:21.600,0:17:29.600 There are 33 vertebrae in the vertebral column.  The upper 24 of them are of the articulating type 0:17:29.600,0:17:37.440 and separated from one another by intervertebral  discs. The lower 9 of them are of the fused type 0:17:37.440,0:17:45.520 in human adults, 5 in the sacrum and 4  in the coccyx. Ligaments at the front, 0:17:45.520,0:17:51.440 back and in between the vertebrae  help lengthen the vertebral column. 0:17:51.440,0:17:59.120 These ligaments join the spinous processes, the  transverse processes and the vertebral laminae. 0:17:59.120,0:18:06.320 Atlas and axis are the topmost vertebrae in  the cervical region and they support the head. 0:18:06.320,0:18:12.320 Vertebral body and vertebral arch are the  two parts of a vertebra placed anteriorly and 0:18:12.320,0:18:20.320 posteriorly respectively. These two parts that are  in contact with each other enclose the vertebral 0:18:20.320,0:18:27.520 foramen through which the spinal cord passes. The vertebral arch comprises two pedicles 0:18:27.520,0:18:34.640 and two laminae. The arch performs seven  processes out of which 4 are articular, 0:18:34.640,0:18:42.240 2 are transverse and one is spinous (aka neural  spine). The spinous process comes out the back 0:18:42.240,0:18:49.200 and the two transverse processes come out left  and right respectively. Vertebrae are joined by 0:18:49.200,0:18:56.080 a thin portion of the neural arch called the  pars interarticularis with facet joints that 0:18:56.080,0:19:03.920 allow a restricted movement. Each pair of two  vertebrae contains two small holes between them. 0:19:04.640,0:19:10.720 These holes are named intervertebral foramina.  Spinal nerves go out of the spinal cord to 0:19:10.720,0:19:16.400 the organs through these holes. As a result of bipedal evolution, 0:19:16.400,0:19:23.680 the vertebral column got curved at numerous places  to stabilize the body in an upright position. 0:19:23.680,0:19:29.280 Here is a list of curves in the vertebral  column comprising their vertebrae: 0:19:29.280,0:19:40.560 C2 - T2: convex forward (lordotic curve) | T2 -  T12: concave forward (kyphotic curve) | T12 - S1: 0:19:40.560,0:19:49.280 convex forward (lordotic curve) | S1 -  Tailbone: concave forward (kyphotic curve) 0:19:49.280,0:19:52.400 Curvature abnormalities are of four types: 0:19:52.960,0:20:05.520 Kyphosis - excessive kyphotic curve | Lordosis  * excessive lordotic curve | Scoliosis - lateral 0:20:05.520,0:20:14.320 curvature | Kyphoscoliosis -  combination of kyphosis and lordosis 0:20:14.320,0:20:21.920 Sacral Plexus vis-à-vis Sacral Chakra: Sacral plexus is a nerve plexus comprising 0:20:21.920,0:20:29.200 sensory and motor nerves for the pelvis  (partly), posterior thigh, lower leg and foot. 0:20:29.840,0:20:36.080 It originates at the lumbar and  sacral vertebrae namely L4 - S4. 0:20:36.080,0:20:41.200 It is a formation that comprises: The lumbosacral trunk | The anterior division 0:20:41.200,0:20:48.960 of the first sacral nerve | Parts of the anterior  divisions of the 2nd and 3rd sacral nerves 0:20:48.960,0:20:53.520 The nerves of the sacral plexus meet  at the greater sciatic foramen making 0:20:53.520,0:20:59.920 a flattened band there. From here, new  branches turn into the sciatic nerve, 0:20:59.920,0:21:05.760 ultimately splitting into the tibial and  fibular nerves in the posterior thigh. 0:21:05.760,0:21:11.280 Sacral plexus is positioned at the back of  the pelvis and is fed by the superior and 0:21:11.280,0:21:18.000 inferior gluteal arteries and veins. A closed sacral chakra happens when 0:21:18.000,0:21:22.480 the nerves in the sacral plexus are  subjected to long-term compression. 0:21:23.200,0:21:28.320 It takes place through the dropping of the sacral  vertebrae and the resulting distortion of the 0:21:28.320,0:21:35.440 lower S of the double S shaped vertebral column. Constant compression of the sacral plexus results 0:21:35.440,0:21:41.200 in the suppression of the aesthetic of our  instinctual structure. The roles of the root 0:21:41.200,0:21:48.560 chakra and the sacral chakra are just the opposite  of each other. The root chakra takes care of the 0:21:48.560,0:21:56.560 basic survival and material safety or security.  Conversely, the sacral chakra is concerned with 0:21:56.560,0:22:04.720 whatever is beautiful in life and gives it  meaning. Its concerns, including curiosity, 0:22:04.720,0:22:12.320 creativity, sexual drive and potency, fill  the pursuit of life with joy and passion. 0:22:13.040,0:22:18.560 Symptoms that point to the existence of the  sacral chakra, including all kinds of sexual 0:22:18.560,0:22:25.760 problems like premature ejaculation,  impotence, ejaculatory incompetence, 0:22:25.760,0:22:33.200 orgasmic dysfunction, vaginismus, frigidity and  a poor sex performance owing to the lack of a 0:22:33.200,0:22:41.760 mature orgasm in men and women are all lifestyle  diseases that stem from a closed sacral chakra. 0:22:41.760,0:22:47.840 A constantly compressed sacral plexus afflicts  the sexual process with various types of sexual 0:22:47.840,0:22:53.360 dysfunctions. But once the compression  is released through raising the sacral 0:22:53.360,0:23:00.320 vertebrae up in the vertebral column, they start  getting relieved. Then, it is just a question 0:23:00.320,0:23:07.840 of keeping the vertebral column raised at its  sacral region by making it one’s first nature. 0:23:07.840,0:23:14.800 There is a caveat here. The sacral chakra  cannot be effectively opened until and unless 0:23:14.800,0:23:23.120 the root chakra below it is already opened. Solar Plexus vis-à-vis Solar Plexus Chakra: 0:23:23.120,0:23:29.680 The solar plexus aka celiac plexus is  located in the vicinity of the thoracic 0:23:29.680,0:23:36.320 diaphragm near the first lumbar vertebra  in the vertebral column. It comprises: 0:23:36.960,0:23:42.400 Splanchnic nerves - paired visceral nerves  with fibers from autonomic nervous system 0:23:42.400,0:23:50.320 and organs innervating visceral organs  | Anterior vagal trunk - a branch of 0:23:50.320,0:23:58.000 the vagus nerve with fibers from the  left vagus primarily | Posterior vagal 0:23:58.000,0:24:04.480 trunk - a branch of vagus nerve with  fibers from the right vagus primarily 0:24:04.480,0:24:09.120 Solar plexus also comprises  smaller plexuses within, namely: 0:24:09.120,0:24:15.920 Hepatic plexus - receiving filaments from  left vagus and right phrenic nerves | Splenic 0:24:15.920,0:24:22.720 plexus - formed by the left celiac ganglion and  the right vagus nerve | Gastric plexus - joining 0:24:22.720,0:24:28.240 branches from the left vagus nerve |  Pancreatic plexus - another solar plexus 0:24:28.240,0:24:37.360 division | Suprarenal plexus - receiving branches  from the celiac ganglion and splanchnic nerves 0:24:37.360,0:24:42.720 Solar plexus chakra arises from the L1  vertebra being dropped and tucked in, 0:24:42.720,0:24:46.720 thereby compressing the thoracic  diaphragm along its length. 0:24:47.440,0:24:53.600 A closed solar plexus chakra acutely disturbs  the breathing pattern, turning it shallow and 0:24:53.600,0:25:00.960 speedier. It makes one prone to breathing-related  illnesses. As a result, diffidence creeps into 0:25:00.960,0:25:07.760 one’s persona causing one to lose their spirit  of interaction, adventure and initiative. 0:25:08.480,0:25:13.360 Belly fat leading to obesity, lower  back pain, and breathing problems, 0:25:13.360,0:25:20.640 including asthmatic symptoms, are the lifestyle  diseases that stem from the solar plexus chakra. 0:25:20.640,0:25:25.440 The way to open the solar plexus chakra is  simply to remove its compression by raising 0:25:25.440,0:25:34.080 the L1 up and out. It further pronounces the lower  S of the double S shape in the vertebral column. 0:25:34.080,0:25:41.360 Once we have learnt how to effectively do  this, we just need to make it our first nature. 0:25:41.360,0:25:48.560 There is a caveat here. Solar plexus chakra cannot  be effectively opened unless the root chakra and 0:25:48.560,0:25:56.560 the sacral chakra below it are already opened. Pectoral Muscles vis-à-vis Heart Chakra: 0:25:56.560,0:26:02.560 Innervated by the lateral pectoral nerve (C5 - C7)  and the medial pectoral nerve (C8 - T1), pectoral 0:26:02.560,0:26:07.520 muscles have two parts: Pectoralis major - flexes, 0:26:07.520,0:26:15.040 extends and rotates humerus | Pectoralis  minor - stabilizes the scapula 0:26:15.040,0:26:19.920 The pectoralis major is a thick,  fan-shaped convergent muscle located 0:26:19.920,0:26:26.800 in the chest. Its functions are flexion,  extension and rotation of the humerus. 0:26:26.800,0:26:30.720 It performs four movements for the shoulder joint: 0:26:32.080,0:26:38.960 Flexion of the humerus like in heavy weight  lifting while doing biceps curls | Adduction 0:26:38.960,0:26:44.800 of the humerus like in arm-flapping |  Rotating the humerus medially like in 0:26:44.800,0:26:52.720 arm-wrestling | Keeping arms attached to  torso like in military “attention” posture 0:26:53.440,0:26:58.720 Out of the above four actions, only  the second one keeps its associated 0:26:58.720,0:27:05.600 vertebral upper S shape intact at the C8 -  T1 vertebrae. The same holds good for the 0:27:05.600,0:27:13.520 C5 - C7 vertebrae. The remaining three tend  to turn it into an inverted C shape. Also, 0:27:13.520,0:27:19.120 when we stretch our body for relaxation,  it performs the second action alone. 0:27:19.760,0:27:24.960 Hence, it is logical to deduce that the  second action is the most relaxed state 0:27:24.960,0:27:31.360 of the muscle. When we make it our first  nature, it keeps the heart chakra open. 0:27:31.360,0:27:38.000 But when we keep it postured like in any of the  other three actions, it closes the heart chakra. 0:27:38.000,0:27:45.200 It does so by turning the upper S shape of the  C8 - T1 vertebrae into an inverted C shape. 0:27:45.760,0:27:51.440 The pectoralis minor is a thin, triangular  muscle located in the upper chest under the 0:27:51.440,0:27:58.160 pectoralis major muscle, which is innervated by  the medial pectoral nerve (C8 - T1) alone. Same 0:27:58.160,0:28:03.440 is true about the pectoralis minor which  is also able to stabilize scapulae when 0:28:03.440,0:28:08.000 postured like in the aforementioned  second action of the shoulder joint. 0:28:08.560,0:28:12.960 This second action is also the one  that we adopt for hugging someone. 0:28:12.960,0:28:18.080 And that is how we know that an open  heart chakra is concerned most with love, 0:28:18.080,0:28:24.000 kindness and compassion. If it is closed,  it leads to narrowness of the heart, 0:28:24.000,0:28:30.560 keeping us emotionally/ passionately  isolated from our fellow beings on earth. 0:28:31.360,0:28:36.080 Symptoms that point to the existence of  a closed heart chakra, like high blood 0:28:36.080,0:28:41.520 pressure or hypertension, heart attack  and heart failure, are all lifestyle 0:28:41.520,0:28:48.240 diseases that stem from the heart chakra. There is again a caveat here. Do you see a 0:28:48.240,0:28:55.360 pattern repeating? The heart chakra cannot be  effectively opened unless the root, sacral and 0:28:55.360,0:29:03.680 solar plexus chakras below it are already opened. Deltoid Muscle vis-à-vis Throat Chakra: 0:29:03.680,0:29:10.800 Innervated by the auxiliary nerve from the  anterior rami of the cervical nerves at C5 and C6, 0:29:10.800,0:29:17.840 the deltoid is located on the shoulder.  It comprises three sets of muscle fibers: 0:29:18.880,0:29:23.840 Anterior (clavicular) - fibers  assist pectoralis major to flex the 0:29:23.840,0:29:32.640 shoulder | Posterior (scapular) - fibers assist  latissimus dorsi to extend the shoulder like in 0:29:32.640,0:29:41.040 rowing movements | Intermediate (acromial)  * fibers perform shoulder abduction 0:29:41.040,0:29:48.960 Out of these three, only the posterior or scapular  fibers keep their associated vertebral upper S 0:29:48.960,0:29:57.120 shape intact at the C5 and C6 vertebrae. The  other two tend to turn it into an inverted 0:29:57.120,0:30:06.160 C shape. Also, when we stretch our body for  relaxation, the posterior fibers perform alone. 0:30:06.160,0:30:12.240 Hence it is logical to deduce that the  action by the posterior fibers is the 0:30:12.240,0:30:17.280 most relaxed state of the muscle. When we make it our first nature, 0:30:17.280,0:30:22.720 it keeps the throat chakra open. But when we keep it postured in 0:30:22.720,0:30:29.280 any other way, it closes the throat chakra.  It does so by turning the upper S shape of 0:30:29.280,0:30:37.680 the C5 - C6 vertebrae into an inverted C shape. The action by the posterior fibers is also the one 0:30:37.680,0:30:44.160 that brings the top ends of the scapulae closest  to each other. It also aligns the collarbones 0:30:44.160,0:30:51.920 along the neck giving it a 180o mobility to move  freely. And this freedom that the head experiences 0:30:51.920,0:30:58.320 on the neck facilitates the opening of the throat  chakra, which then becomes ready to open the 0:30:58.320,0:31:05.520 next chakras (i.e. the ones in the skull). It  opens our pathways to intelligence and logical 0:31:05.520,0:31:13.440 communication. But if it is closed, it corrupts  our communication and logical comprehension. 0:31:14.160,0:31:21.280 Symptoms of the throat chakra include  diabetes, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. 0:31:21.280,0:31:28.080 As usual, there is the same caveat here  as well. You guessed it right! The throat 0:31:28.080,0:31:34.320 chakra cannot be effectively opened  unless the root, sacral, solar plexus 0:31:34.320,0:31:43.200 and heart chakras below it are already opened. Skull vis-à-vis Third Eye and Crown Chakras: 0:31:43.200,0:31:49.440 The skull of the Homo sapiens is freely balanced  on the vertebral column at its first vertebra 0:31:49.440,0:31:56.640 named Atlas, denoted together by the letter C  (for cervical) and the number 1 (for first) as 0:31:56.640,0:32:04.960 C1. Occipital condyles maintain the balance  of the vertebral column dynamically. This is 0:32:04.960,0:32:12.320 the main reason a human head can be postured erect  even without the prominent supraorbital ridges and 0:32:12.320,0:32:20.720 strong muscular attachments that are necessary  in apes. As a result, the occipitofrontalis 0:32:20.720,0:32:27.280 (frontalis and occipitalis) muscles are only used  for facial expressions and central fixation of the 0:32:27.280,0:32:35.280 eyes. The spinal cord, as an extension of the  medulla oblongata, enters the vertebral column 0:32:35.280,0:32:42.960 through foramen magnum, an occipital bone opening. The size of the human brain has also played a 0:32:42.960,0:32:50.400 very big role in bipedal evolution. It is 3-4  times larger for its body size than that of its 0:32:50.400,0:32:57.920 nearest evolutionary relative, the chimpanzee. The skull acts as a protective cavity for the 0:32:57.920,0:33:06.320 brain. It houses the majority of the sense  organs including eyes, ears, nose and tongue. 0:33:06.320,0:33:12.880 It has two parts to it, the neurocranium and  membraneous viscerocranium with the mandible 0:33:12.880,0:33:20.720 as the latter’s largest bone. Numerous flat bones  are fused together as sutures to give the human 0:33:20.720,0:33:28.640 skull its shape. The mandible is the only major  movable bone that engages with the neurocranium 0:33:28.640,0:33:34.800 via the temporomandibular joints. In all, the skull has 22 bones in 0:33:34.800,0:33:43.600 it. Out of these, eight are the cranial bones: Occipital bone | Temporal bones (2) | Parietal 0:33:43.600,0:33:49.440 bones (2) | Sphenoid bone |  Ethmoid bone | Frontal bone 0:33:50.160,0:33:53.040 There are 14 more bones in the facial skeleton: 0:33:53.920,0:34:01.600 Vomer | Inferior nasal conchae (2) | Nasal  bones (2) | Maxilla (2) | Mandible | Palatine 0:34:01.600,0:34:07.120 bones (2) | Zygomatic bones  (2) | Lacrimal bones (2) 0:34:07.120,0:34:12.080 Also, there are paranasal sinuses  (air-filled cavities lined with 0:34:12.080,0:34:18.960 respiratory epithelium) and numerous  foramina (openings in the skull). 0:34:18.960,0:34:25.360 In episode 21, I had written about the third  eye chakra and the crown chakra coming into 0:34:25.360,0:34:31.360 existence due to bipedal evolution. I  had also explained how to open them by 0:34:31.360,0:34:36.880 maneuvering the temporomandibular joints.  You will also find a full account of the 0:34:36.880,0:34:43.280 only movable temporomandibular joints in the  skull there. I had described it there in the 0:34:43.280,0:34:49.520 context of how the mind got structured  and could be emptied. You can go back 0:34:49.520,0:34:56.400 and check these if you need to refresh their  description in context of this episode again. 0:34:57.200,0:35:01.760 Symptoms that point to the existence  of the third eye and crown chakras 0:35:01.760,0:35:09.600 mainly include problems in one’s vision,  chronic headaches and signs of stress. 0:35:09.600,0:35:16.320 An open third eye chakra is characterized by a  sharp perception. Similarly an open crown chakra 0:35:16.320,0:35:23.600 is characterized by a deep insight into life. The two of them are very similar to each other 0:35:23.600,0:35:29.040 with only one difference between them. An  open crown chakra can see the macro view 0:35:29.040,0:35:34.880 of what an open third eye chakra can see  only the micro version. In other words, 0:35:34.880,0:35:44.160 what an open third eye chakra can see in one  single degree, the crown chakra does in 270o. 0:35:44.160,0:35:51.280 In fact, as I discovered, there are two  types of visual central fixation possible. 0:35:51.280,0:35:58.400 One is associated with an open third eye chakra  alone, providing a crystal clear, bright and sharp 0:35:58.400,0:36:06.080 tunnel vision aka perception. It is achieved by  relaxing the frontalis muscle while accommodating 0:36:06.080,0:36:13.440 with the help of occipitalis. Everything  outside of this tunnel is blurred and dull. 0:36:13.440,0:36:20.480 The other one is associated with both, an open  crown chakra and an open third eye chakra. This 0:36:20.480,0:36:27.840 central fixation provides a crystal clear, bright,  sharp and wide vision including peripheral vision, 0:36:27.840,0:36:35.840 perception as well as empathy. It is achieved by  relaxing both, the frontalis and the temporalis 0:36:35.840,0:36:42.720 muscles while accommodating with the help of  occipitalis. In my personal opinion, this has been 0:36:42.720,0:36:49.920 my biggest discovery in the chakra discipline. In the second type of central fixation, the eyes 0:36:49.920,0:36:58.640 turn extraordinarily bright and empathetically  shiny. I call this shine the real ‘smize’. 0:36:58.640,0:37:04.640 Also, the sharpness of the eyesight is closely  linked with an insight into life. The brain’s 0:37:04.640,0:37:11.360 perception needs to be aided by the recording  tool that is a sharp eye. In other words, 0:37:11.360,0:37:15.840 a clear vision in the eye leads  to a clear worldview as well. 0:37:16.640,0:37:25.040 Therefore, we must really say that our eyes are  the real windows to the brain and not to the mind! 0:37:25.040,0:37:29.600 That is why the third eye chakra has  been assigned two iconic petals whereas 0:37:29.600,0:37:34.880 the crown chakra has been assigned full  one thousand! And that is why the crown 0:37:34.880,0:37:41.760 chakra is called the king of all chakras. Let’s not forget that same caveat here! 0:37:41.760,0:37:48.400 The crown chakra cannot be effectively opened  unless third eye chakra is already opened. Release Stress: Psychological Stress Vs Biological Stress! – Podcast Episode 23

RELEASE STRESS TECHNIQUES: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! Welcome back to the 23rd episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Release Stress: Psychological Stress Vs Biological Stress!” will tell you about what stress really means in terms of chakras and skeletal postures. Stress is a situation perceived by an organism either as a threat or a challenge that needs to be coped with. In case of Homo sapiens, this type of situation has two layers to it. The first one is biological stress and the second, psychological. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally RELEASE STRESS: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! - SHOW NOTES Show Notes RELEASE STRESS: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! - CHAPTERS Chapters: RELEASE STRESS: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! - VIDEO RELEASE STRESS: PSYCHOLOGICAL STRESS VS BIOLOGICAL STRESS! - TRANSCRIPT WITH TIMESTAMPS 0:00:01.120,0:00:06.880 The source of psychological stress can  either be external or internal, but in 0:00:06.880,0:00:26.480 both cases one internalizes the resultant pain. My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome to “Skeletal Leap: 0:00:26.480,0:00:34.160 A Living Adventure”. Skeletal Leap  transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.160,0:00:38.400 Today’s episode will tell you  about what stress really means 0:00:38.400,0:00:43.440 in terms of chakras and skeletal postures. 0:00:43.440,0:00:48.160 Stress is a situation perceived by  an organism either as a threat or a 0:00:48.160,0:00:54.320 challenge that needs to be coped with. In case of Homo sapiens, this type of 0:00:54.320,0:01:02.240 situation has two layers to it. The first one is  biological stress and the second, psychological. 0:01:02.240,0:01:06.960 In the case of biological stress, it  is the nervous system that perceives 0:01:06.960,0:01:12.080 it as a threat or challenge. But in  the case of psychological stress, 0:01:12.080,0:01:19.680 it is the mind that comprehends the brain’s  perception as either a threat or as a challenge. 0:01:19.680,0:01:24.080 Biological Stress In Homo sapiens, the following 0:01:24.080,0:01:29.760 biological systems respond to stress: 1. Autonomic nervous system 0:01:29.760,0:01:40.880 2. Hypothalamic pituitary adrenal (HPA) axis Sympathoadrenal medullary (SAM) axis is capable, 0:01:40.880,0:01:45.680 via the sympathetic nervous system, of  switching a ‘fight or flight’ response 0:01:45.680,0:01:52.720 on. It directs a major portion of the body’s  energy resources to cope with the perceived 0:01:52.720,0:01:59.600 stress before returning to homeostasis  via the parasympathetic nervous system. 0:01:59.600,0:02:06.480 On the other hand, the HPA axis releases cortisol  to take care of metabolic and immunological 0:02:06.480,0:02:14.640 functions in the meantime. The SAM and HPA axes  are regulated by the following brain regions: 0:02:14.640,0:02:24.160 Limbic system | Prefrontal cortex |  Amygdala | Hypothalamus | Stria terminalis 0:02:24.160,0:02:30.960 These coping mechanisms perceive stressors  as one among the five possible categories: 0:02:30.960,0:02:37.120 1. Acute time-limited stressors  posing a short term challenge 0:02:37.120,0:02:43.520 2. Brief naturalistic stressors  * normal yet challenging 0:02:43.520,0:02:50.880 3. Stressful event sequences - sudden  onset continuing in immediate future 0:02:50.880,0:02:56.720 4. Chronic stressors continuing  for long terms in future 0:02:56.720,0:03:03.440 5. Distant stressors - set  to affect in distant future 0:03:03.440,0:03:09.840 Physiological stress disturbs the organism’s  homeostasis which responds by stimulating the 0:03:09.840,0:03:16.240 nervous, endocrine and immune systems.  This activates physical changes showing 0:03:16.240,0:03:23.440 their short or long term effects on the body. Homeostasis is an ideal state of biochemical 0:03:23.440,0:03:30.960 equilibrium. It often keeps getting disrupted by  internal and external stimuli, thereby keeping it 0:03:30.960,0:03:37.840 in a state of continual flux. But if and when  this disruption goes beyond a certain range, 0:03:37.840,0:03:44.080 we experience it as stress. In the presence of acute stress, 0:03:44.080,0:03:49.440 the sympathetic nervous system takes over  with a ‘fight or flight’ response involving: 0:03:49.440,0:03:57.480 Mydriasis | Increased heart beats |  Vasoconstriction | Glycogenolysis | 0:03:57.480,0:04:05.280 Bronchodilation | Gluconeogenesis | Sweating  | Lipolysis | Decreased motility of digestive 0:04:05.280,0:04:14.400 system | Apinephrine and cortisol secretion from  adrenal medulla | Relaxation of bladder wall 0:04:14.400,0:04:18.560 After having coped with stress,  the parasympathetic nervous system 0:04:18.560,0:04:24.240 reestablishes ‘rest and digest’  aka homeostasis response involving: 0:04:24.240,0:04:33.120 Miosis | Bronchoconstriction | Increased motility  of digestive system | Contraction of bladder walls 0:04:33.120,0:04:40.240 The HPA axis is a neuroendocrine system for stress  response which stimulates the steroid hormones. 0:04:41.600,0:04:48.480 Stress also affects the immune system negatively. In fact, chronic long-term stress affects 0:04:48.480,0:04:53.280 our quality of life by creating: Immune system dysfunction | Chronic 0:04:53.280,0:04:59.120 diseases | Impaired growth in children  | Fibromyalgia | Chronic fatigue 0:04:59.120,0:05:08.320 syndrome | Depression | Functional somatic  syndromes | Heart disease | Asthma | Diabetes 0:05:08.320,0:05:16.480 | Headaches | Alzheimer’s disease | Accelerated  aging | Premature death | Insomnia | Eating 0:05:16.480,0:05:25.840 disorders | Anxiety and panic attacks | Colds  and viruses | Circulatory problems | Cancer 0:05:25.840,0:05:32.160 It is not only negative stressors that add to the  stress level, even the positive stressors do the 0:05:32.160,0:05:38.720 same. Here is a list of some categories  that some common stressors belong to: 0:05:38.720,0:05:46.960 1. Sensory inputs like pain, bright  lights, noise, temperatures, etc. 0:05:46.960,0:05:57.120 2. Environmental issues like lack of food,  water, housing, health, freedom, mobility, etc. 0:05:57.120,0:06:06.800 3. Social issues like struggles, defeats,  relationship conflicts, deception, break ups, 0:06:06.800,0:06:16.560 births, deaths, marriages, divorces, etc. 4. Life experiences like poverty, sudden 0:06:16.560,0:06:24.000 wealth acquisition, unemployment,  depression, OCD, lack of sleep, 0:06:24.000,0:06:34.720 performance pressures, exams, deadlines, etc. 5. Accidental experiences like sexual abuse, 0:06:34.720,0:06:40.320 traumas, etc. Psychological Stress 0:06:40.320,0:06:45.680 Psychological stress is a feeling of  emotional pain. Small amounts of them 0:06:45.680,0:06:52.960 are manageable as well as motivating at  times but their excess is debilitating. 0:06:52.960,0:06:58.720 The source of psychological stress can  either be external or internal, but in 0:06:58.720,0:07:07.120 both cases one internalizes the resultant pain. Hans Selye came up with quite a few experiments 0:07:07.120,0:07:16.080 on stress and its theories in the 1930s. He  conceived the theory of universal, non-specific 0:07:16.080,0:07:23.680 stress response and initiated extensive  research programs in academic physiology. 0:07:23.680,0:07:31.040 Despite wide acceptance of his theories,  experimental physiologists soon started opposing 0:07:31.040,0:07:39.840 what they considered ‘vague’ approaches in his  research. Hence, in the 1950s, he turned away from 0:07:39.840,0:07:47.840 experimental physiology and started promoting his  theories via popular books and public speeches. 0:07:47.840,0:07:54.320 His book titled ‘Stress of Life’ addressed  to the general public turned out 0:07:54.320,0:08:00.080 to be an international bestseller. His was a biopsychosocial concept of 0:08:00.080,0:08:07.680 stress and dynamic adaptation to changing global  challenges. It promised health and happiness to 0:08:07.680,0:08:16.080 anyone that successfully employed this approach. He coined the terms ‘eustress’ for positive stress 0:08:16.080,0:08:23.680 and ‘distress’ for negative stress. He also coined  the term ‘stressor’ to mean the cause of stress 0:08:23.680,0:08:31.520 as separate from the state of stress. On top of  it, he redefined tobacco smoking as a ‘diversion’ 0:08:31.520,0:08:38.960 or a ‘deviation’ from environmental stress. Starting from the latter part of the 1960s, 0:08:38.960,0:08:44.640 psychologists increasingly adopted  Selye’s approach. They undertook 0:08:44.640,0:08:52.320 extensive research to establish connections  between stress and stress-related diseases. 0:08:52.320,0:08:59.200 By the latter part of the 1970s, stress  had entered the common parlance globally. 0:08:59.200,0:09:05.120 New research was conducted into the  neuroendocrine, molecular and immunological 0:09:05.120,0:09:13.280 aspects of stress. This new research is no longer  directly tied to Selye’s hypotheses though it 0:09:13.280,0:09:20.160 doesn’t negate it either. In the wake of the  Vietnam War, a lot of research went into the newly 0:09:20.160,0:09:30.320 coined ‘post-traumatic stress disorder’ (PTSD). By the onset of the 1990s, stress had become one 0:09:30.320,0:09:37.680 of the biggest buzzwords while referring to  the modern-day health and its complications. 0:09:37.680,0:09:41.680 The discourse on stress spanned  the entire spectrum from mild 0:09:41.680,0:09:49.920 irritation to ultimate nervous breakdown. As recently as 2015, it was established 0:09:49.920,0:09:58.640 through surveys that people’s greatest stressors  were ‘money’, ‘family responsibility’ and ‘work’. 0:09:58.640,0:10:06.880 A New Personality Style: Hardiness In the year 1979, Suzanne C. Kobasa 0:10:06.880,0:10:11.680 had discovered a new personality  style, which he named ‘hardiness’. 0:10:11.680,0:10:19.040 It referred to the ability of a person to be  chronically stressed yet healthy at the same time. 0:10:19.040,0:10:25.680 This meant that the harmful effects of stress  were not the same for all. They were as much 0:10:25.680,0:10:32.400 due to stressors as they were due to the fallible  personality styles. And if we were able to train 0:10:32.400,0:10:39.680 people to adopt ‘hardiness’ as their personality  style, the problem of stress would be gone. 0:10:39.680,0:10:46.960 In 1984, Salvadore Maddi with Kobasa and  their graduate students in the University 0:10:46.960,0:10:54.960 of Chicago came up with another book. The book  was titled “The hardy executive: Health under 0:10:54.960,0:11:02.880 stress” and it further elaborated the analysis of  hardiness. It carried along a series of research 0:11:02.880,0:11:09.440 reports done with executives in it. Since then, a lot of further research 0:11:09.440,0:11:18.960 has been done on military groups, teachers,  firefighters and students along with executives. 0:11:18.960,0:11:23.280 In addition, several efforts have  been made to train people to adopt 0:11:23.280,0:11:30.160 hardy personalities with mixed results. Research is still going on as newer 0:11:30.160,0:11:34.480 training modules are being tried  to achieve definitive results. 0:11:35.200,0:11:40.720 Hardiness suggests a personality structure  dispositioned along the traits of commitment, 0:11:40.720,0:11:45.040 control and challenge: 1. Commitment was defined 0:11:45.040,0:11:52.640 as a trait to get involved in what one was doing. 2. Control was defined as a trait that made one 0:11:52.640,0:11:59.600 believe one would be able to effect a change. 3. Challenge was defined as a trait that took 0:11:59.600,0:12:04.720 everything including life in  flux rather than stability. 0:12:04.720,0:12:09.920 In my opinion, the best example of a hardy  personality was the co-founder of Apple 0:12:09.920,0:12:17.760 Inc. named Steve Jobs. But the most charismatic  man that he was, he too could not keep himself 0:12:17.760,0:12:24.800 healthy. This exceptionally hardy man died of  pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor resulting in 0:12:24.800,0:12:31.760 respiratory arrest at a young age of 55. What does that show? Is the entire 0:12:31.760,0:12:39.360 hypothesis of Suzanne C. Kobasa a faulty one? I don’t think so. I have my own example in 0:12:39.360,0:12:46.400 front of me having similar (though not the same)  traits in my personality. And I cannot write off 0:12:46.400,0:12:53.680 hardiness that easily. I’m quite healthy in  my 70s while I am speaking these lines. As 0:12:53.680,0:13:00.560 you already know, although I was born with myopia  and contracted viral arthritis which then turned 0:13:00.560,0:13:07.520 into rheumatoid arthritis in six months, I  was able to cure both with central fixation. 0:13:07.520,0:13:13.040 I see a huge potential in  Kobasa’s hypothesis of hardiness. 0:13:13.040,0:13:20.480 A Newer Personality Style: Lightness I would like to change a few things in Kobasa’s 0:13:20.480,0:13:28.320 hypothesis. First of all, I would change its name  from ‘Hardiness’ to ‘Lightness’. Next, I would 0:13:28.320,0:13:37.680 change its traits from ‘commitment, control and  challenge’ to ‘interest, insight and adventure’. 0:13:37.680,0:13:44.320 Hardiness, in general, can be heavy but  we need it to be light rather than heavy. 0:13:44.320,0:13:50.320 Doesn’t matter if it is hard or soft.  If it is light, it’ll be able to fight; 0:13:50.320,0:13:56.800 like traveling light is always way more manageable  than traveling with a lot of heavy stuff. 0:13:56.800,0:14:02.480 Commitment, as a structure of the mind,  requires us to believe in it. And belief 0:14:02.480,0:14:08.880 turns the mind heavy. On the other hand,  interest is an instinct generated out of 0:14:08.880,0:14:17.920 curiosity. We don’t need to believe in it. Thus,  curiosity keeps our mind light. At the same time, 0:14:17.920,0:14:26.560 it is much hardier and lighter than commitment. Control evokes conflict. It makes our mind even 0:14:26.560,0:14:33.520 heavier. Insight, on the other hand, keeps it  light because it arises directly out of the 0:14:33.520,0:14:41.040 lightness of curiosity and interest. Therefore,  it is more effective in creating change. 0:14:41.840,0:14:49.040 Challenge, again, evokes conflict rather than  passion or joy. It fills us with pride which, 0:14:49.040,0:14:53.440 in turn, makes our mind heavy.  Adventure, as an instinct, 0:14:53.440,0:15:01.920 is the better alternative. It has very deep roots  in our psyche and it keeps us light and agile. 0:15:01.920,0:15:08.240 These three traits - interest, insight  and adventure - do a splendid job of 0:15:08.240,0:15:14.080 keeping us healthy. They are effective even  under the toughest of biological stresses 0:15:14.080,0:15:20.560 born out of an ever-changing environment. Psychological stress doesn’t even stand a 0:15:20.560,0:15:27.920 chance because it vanishes the moment we become  carefree and ‘light’ by emptying our mind. We 0:15:27.920,0:15:34.720 don’t need to be heavy like dinosaurs. We just  need to be light like birds. That is perhaps why 0:15:34.720,0:15:42.240 the next phase of evolution after dinosaurs gave  rise to birds. This brings us to the question, 0:15:42.240,0:15:48.080 “How can people be trained to adopt  lightness as a personality style?” 0:15:48.080,0:15:54.320 That is easy. Skeletal Leap already has a well  researched and documented system of opening 0:15:54.320,0:16:02.480 chakras through skeletal re-posturing. Once the  re-postured skeleton becomes one’s first nature, 0:16:02.480,0:16:10.560 the opened chakras allow energy to rise through  the body. Then comes guided meditation. It pulls 0:16:10.560,0:16:19.520 the Kundalini upward relieving the body of stress.  This ascension of energy along Sushumna from the 0:16:19.520,0:16:25.360 coccyx to the crown chakra is the same as the  neural communication along the vagus nerve from 0:16:25.360,0:16:33.600 the gut to the brain. The entire process results  in a state of perennial joy and unbound passion, 0:16:33.600,0:16:40.800 turning the mind empty and hence light.  In our following episodes, we will see 0:16:40.800,0:16:48.240 how this process unfolds, step by step. Thanks for listening to this episode of 0:16:48.240,0:16:55.280 Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! In the  next episode, I will tell you about how 0:16:55.280,0:17:03.360 skeletal re-posturing opens chakras through  completing our bipedal skeletal evolution. 0:17:03.360,0:17:07.280 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community! Welcome to “Skeletal Leap: 0:00:26.560,0:00:34.400 A Living Adventure”. Skeletal Leap  transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.400,0:00:39.040 Today’s episode will tell you about  how lifestyle diseases and immune 0:00:39.040,0:00:43.520 system dysfunction take a toll on human health. 0:00:43.520,0:00:50.080 Summoning energy and healing lifestyle diseases  are the two outcomes Skeletal Leap strives to 0:00:50.080,0:00:56.880 achieve while filling the leftover holes in the  bipedal evolution of Homo sapiens along the way. 0:00:57.600,0:01:03.680 Let’s learn a bit more about the etiology  and prognosis of various lifestyle diseases. 0:01:03.680,0:01:12.000 Knowing their ins and outs will equip us to  eradicate them through Skeletal Leap more easily. 0:01:12.000,0:01:20.160 Evolution of Human Disease As life evolved, so did disease. 0:01:20.160,0:01:27.040 Life took shape via DNA replication as well as the  process of adaptation. It is against this ancient 0:01:27.040,0:01:34.000 code that its young genetic variants interact  with modern environments. This interaction ends 0:01:34.000,0:01:40.720 up generating human disease phenotypes. Latest developments in genomic research 0:01:40.720,0:01:46.000 and technology have made it possible to  sequence genomes of any species from the 0:01:46.000,0:01:54.240 tree of life. Disease came into existence as  soon as unicellular life came into existence. 0:01:55.280,0:02:00.560 These unicellular organisms divided  themselves symmetrically and, therefore, 0:02:00.560,0:02:09.360 never died. As asymmetric cell division evolved,  it resulted in multicellular organisms. These 0:02:09.360,0:02:16.400 new organisms experienced reduced cellular  damage. However they paid a huge price for 0:02:16.400,0:02:24.880 it in the form of aging and, eventually, death. Multicellularity further evolved many more times 0:02:24.880,0:02:32.720 enabling complex body structures with intricate  communications between them. But each step in this 0:02:32.720,0:02:41.440 evolutionary saga was accompanied by newer disease  patterns. That was how cancer, for example, came 0:02:41.440,0:02:50.240 to existence. It was a direct result of increased  DNA repairs and mutations in the caretaker genes. 0:02:51.520,0:02:58.960 Later, gatekeeper genes appeared to regulate cell  growth, communication and death, thus generating 0:02:58.960,0:03:07.200 immune systems for the organism. Further evolution  of immune systems generated new diseases just 0:03:07.200,0:03:14.480 like multicellularity had done. Like when the  human immune system co-evolved with parasites, 0:03:14.480,0:03:19.360 the parasite infection generated  another immune response in humans. 0:03:20.560,0:03:28.000 New anatomical structures like eyes, limbs,  pregnancy, et cetera evolved through adaptation 0:03:28.000,0:03:35.600 and integration of already existing genes  with regulatory circuits. The resulting genes 0:03:35.600,0:03:42.800 simultaneously affect many different traits  and shape substrates on which new diseases 0:03:42.800,0:03:49.280 appear as trade offs for evolution. Diseases have their own evolutionary 0:03:49.280,0:03:56.400 histories. These histories get archived in  our genomes. Genomic advances have enabled 0:03:56.400,0:04:03.920 us to read those histories in great details. Anatomically modern humans (AMHs) first came 0:04:03.920,0:04:12.400 to exist in Africa around 200,000 years ago.  Around 100,000 years ago, they started moving 0:04:12.400,0:04:23.040 out of Africa and quickly spread across Eurasia.  From there, groups of these early AMHs expanded 0:04:23.040,0:04:31.920 into Americas around 35,000 to 15,000 years ago. Once they migrated, they came into contact with 0:04:31.920,0:04:39.600 other archaic hominin groups like Neanderthals and  Denisovans. They got admixed with them carrying 0:04:39.600,0:04:47.120 around 2% of their ancestry from Neanderthals  which they still do. However, even in the modern 0:04:47.120,0:04:54.880 African population, traces of admixture with  other unknown archaic hominins have been found. 0:04:54.880,0:05:00.400 Exponential Evolutionary Growth  within The Past 10,000 Years 0:05:00.400,0:05:06.800 After their expansion throughout the globe, humans  went through an exponential growth within the past 0:05:06.800,0:05:15.920 10,000 years. Population explosion modified  their genetic architecture of traits. This, 0:05:15.920,0:05:21.440 in turn, increased their chances of  genetic selection for different variants. 0:05:22.160,0:05:27.440 That is how we find considerable differences  in allele frequency among different 0:05:27.440,0:05:34.800 populations with different disease risks. Alleles denote the variants of a certain gene; 0:05:34.800,0:05:42.560 like ABO blood group is controlled by ABO  gene with six variants. Allele frequency is 0:05:42.560,0:05:50.640 the relative frequency of an allele at a specific  locus in a population expressed as a percentage. 0:05:50.640,0:05:57.680 Evolution has never been a perfect jump or  adaptation from one stage to another. Also, 0:05:57.680,0:06:03.840 genetic changes have never been able to  ensure the best evolutionary progress. 0:06:03.840,0:06:12.640 Genes have existed as varied yet co-existing  alleles at the same location on a chromosome. 0:06:12.640,0:06:19.360 Exposures of different human groups to  different new environments forced them to adapt. 0:06:19.360,0:06:26.960 But these rapid changes and adaptations also  generated complex patterns of new diseases. 0:06:26.960,0:06:34.560 Hence diseases like obesity, diabetes, heart  disease and other hormonal dysfunctions came 0:06:34.560,0:06:40.800 to existence as lifestyle diseases  as a result of sedentary lifestyles. 0:06:40.800,0:06:47.520 Ancestral alleles adapted for ancient environments  increased the risk of disease in modern 0:06:47.520,0:06:57.360 environments. That is how both ancient and newly  derived alleles increase the risk of disease. 0:06:57.360,0:07:04.480 And that is why ancestral risk alleles are more  prevalent in African populations whereas newly 0:07:04.480,0:07:12.000 derived alleles risk Eurasian populations more. What makes us vulnerable to a specific disease 0:07:12.000,0:07:17.520 today is a recent genetic variation  in our ancient gene systems. 0:07:18.640,0:07:25.600 Every single person may have unique genomes  depending on their genetic histories. These 0:07:25.600,0:07:32.400 genetic histories change with their geographical  journeys through evolution and adaptations to 0:07:32.400,0:07:40.080 different environments. Latest genomic advances  have enabled us to unearth every single 0:07:40.080,0:07:47.360 individual’s historical tendencies to various  illnesses in greater detail. It enables us to 0:07:47.360,0:07:54.800 treat their illnesses in the most individualized  manner, thereby making it the most effective. 0:07:54.800,0:08:02.560 Environmental Changes Vs Genetic Disposition But the most recent environmental changes and 0:08:02.560,0:08:07.920 socio-psychological factors are much  bigger causes of disease than genetic 0:08:07.920,0:08:15.040 disposition. How do we deal with them? Ancestral susceptibility model proposes 0:08:15.040,0:08:24.000 that the ancestral alleles were adapted as per the  ancient environments. However, these alleles were 0:08:24.000,0:08:32.640 not flexible enough to cope with environments that  changed rapidly over the past 10,000 years. They 0:08:32.640,0:08:40.880 can then generate risks of evolutionary mismatch  in those changed environments leading to disease. 0:08:40.880,0:08:48.960 Here arises a very important question that needs  to be answered in a very clear way. Forming of 0:08:48.960,0:08:57.360 alleles is understandable as natural selection  is always a trial and error process. But what 0:08:57.360,0:09:05.280 makes this process so rigid as to be inept  at coping with rapidly changing environments? 0:09:05.280,0:09:10.640 Here is a quote from an article  from New York University. It says… 0:09:10.640,0:09:18.480 A new analysis concludes that the ability of  early humans to adjust to changing conditions 0:09:18.480,0:09:27.360 ultimately enabled the earliest species of Homo  to vary, survive, and begin spreading from Africa 0:09:27.360,0:09:34.640 to Eurasia, marking a reconsideration of the  evolutionary factors that drove these changes. 0:09:35.840,0:09:42.160 If it is so, why aren’t we able to live  a healthy life anywhere on Earth today? 0:09:42.160,0:09:48.080 Let’s look into various diseases separately  to try answering this more general question 0:09:48.080,0:09:54.800 regarding health and disease. Alzheimer’s disease: 0:09:54.800,0:10:01.520 Alzheimer’s disease is a neurodegenerative  disease, i.e., a disease of brain cells leading 0:10:01.520,0:10:10.320 to gradual memory loss. It first starts with  forgetting the most recent events. Later it moves 0:10:10.320,0:10:19.760 on to affect language, orientation, emotions,  motivation and behavior. In the advanced stages, 0:10:19.760,0:10:27.520 even involuntary memory begins to wane. That  is when the patient starts moving toward death. 0:10:27.520,0:10:35.840 It takes a few (3-9) years, from  its onset to eventual demise. 0:10:35.840,0:10:42.160 Genetic factors and environment, both play their  role in the progression of this disease, like any 0:10:42.160,0:10:49.920 other. The strongest of the genetic factors is  an allele of apolipoprotein E (APOE) metabolizing 0:10:49.920,0:10:58.400 fats in the body. Clinical depression and  hypertension are also the possible risk factors. 0:10:58.400,0:11:05.840 Only 1 - 2% of the cases are inherited. Most  cases are sporadic with late-onset Alzheimer’s 0:11:05.840,0:11:12.480 disease (LOAD) afflicting after the age of 65. I come from a family that had three of its 0:11:12.480,0:11:17.200 members succumbing to Alzheimer’s disease.  But then, there were others in the family 0:11:17.200,0:11:23.600 who never contracted it. I hope I am one  among those who never do, especially when 0:11:23.600,0:11:30.720 I have my central fixation intact! An open  crown chakra tends to keep Alzheimer’s away. 0:11:30.720,0:11:37.120 Why do I say so? It is an insight that I got  from opening my crown chakra, thus curing my 0:11:37.120,0:11:44.400 lifelong myopia. Though when it happened, I  never knew what my body had done to cure me. 0:11:45.040,0:11:50.320 It is my contention that body intelligence is  way bigger than the intelligence of our conscious 0:11:50.320,0:11:58.960 mind. It does its healing silently. And body  intelligence works the best when its anatomy is 0:11:58.960,0:12:07.280 not compromised, paving the way to its physiology  working impeccably. And to a certain extent, 0:12:07.280,0:12:13.520 this intelligence works most efficiently in  the vicinity of its actual physical location. 0:12:14.400,0:12:20.400 Hence, almost all the irregularities taking  place in the skull region are most affected 0:12:20.400,0:12:27.200 by the skull anatomy getting compromised. This forms the foundation on which Skeletal 0:12:27.200,0:12:34.000 Leap’s case for healing lifestyle diseases  is built. This would then coincide with the 0:12:34.000,0:12:40.160 healthiest phase of bipedal evolution,  devoid of all those leftover holes. 0:12:40.800,0:12:47.600 This was what had cured my myopia in the first  place when my skull entered its healthiest phase 0:12:47.600,0:12:54.640 as part of my own personal bipedal evolution. A healthy anatomy lies at the root of a healthy 0:12:54.640,0:13:01.600 physiology. And when the skeletal meditations  facilitated by Skeletal Leap open the related 0:13:01.600,0:13:07.040 chakra, it is the anatomy of that local  area which turns healthier. It turns 0:13:07.040,0:13:12.880 their related physiology healthier too. The best part is that the body does all 0:13:12.880,0:13:16.960 this healing on its own regardless of  whether we are able to rationalize it 0:13:16.960,0:13:23.920 through logical analysis or not. This silent  healing process of the body is very potent. 0:13:23.920,0:13:30.880 And this is the healing philosophy that Skeletal  Leap bases all its skeletal meditations on. 0:13:30.880,0:13:36.240 They tend to heal the anatomy of the  body which, in turn, tends to heal the 0:13:36.240,0:13:43.840 associated diseases based on its own superior  intelligence. This superior intelligence works 0:13:43.840,0:13:51.680 way better and way faster than any analytical  procedures invented by medical science to date. 0:13:51.680,0:13:54.960 Arthritis: Arthritis means 0:13:54.960,0:14:02.000 disorders affecting joints, turning them stiff  and painful while limiting their movement. 0:14:02.000,0:14:10.000 Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease  that affects fingers, knees and hips. Rheumatoid 0:14:10.000,0:14:18.800 arthritis is an autoimmune disease that affects  hands and feet. Other joint conditions like gout, 0:14:18.800,0:14:26.640 lupus, fibromyalgia and septic arthritis are  all different types of rheumatic diseases. 0:14:27.440,0:14:33.840 Arthritis, in general, can be any among the  following types characterized by joints alone: 0:14:33.840,0:14:42.080 Osteoarthritis | Rheumatoid Arthritis | Gout  and Pseudo-gout | Septic Arthritis | Ankylosing 0:14:42.080,0:14:52.160 Spondylitis | Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis  | Still’s Disease | Psoriatic Arthritis 0:14:52.160,0:14:57.760 Joint pains can also exist as a secondary  symptom of some other main disease, like: 0:14:57.760,0:15:07.520 Psoriasis | Reactive Arthritis | Ehlers-Danlos  Syndrome | Iron Overload | Hepatitis | Lyme 0:15:07.520,0:15:16.000 Disease | Sjogren’s Disease | Hashimoto’s  Thyroiditis | Celiac Disease | Non-celiac 0:15:16.000,0:15:21.680 Gluten Sensitivity | Inflammatory  Bowel Disease | Henoch-Schonlein 0:15:21.680,0:15:31.200 Purpura | Hyperimmunoglobulinemia D with  Recurrent Fever | Sarcoidosis | Whipple’s Disease 0:15:31.200,0:15:39.600 The Story of My Encounter with Arthritis In 2019, while I was in a traumatized state 0:15:39.600,0:15:46.640 due to long-suppressed anger, I fell prey to  viral arthritis. The virus was there in the 0:15:46.640,0:15:54.800 air in my city that year. It caught my wrists,  hands and fingers with an acute pain in their 0:15:54.800,0:16:02.960 joints. All my neighbors caught the virus too. As I generally do in response to any infection, 0:16:02.960,0:16:10.640 I didn’t consult any physician but decided to  wait and watch. Five months passed without any 0:16:10.640,0:16:16.800 improvement in the situation. Ultimately  I consulted a specialist who gave me a 0:16:16.800,0:16:23.840 strong course of medication for one week.  He assured me I would be okay within a week. 0:16:23.840,0:16:32.000 A week later, I was not only back at his clinic  but my condition was worse too. I saw clear signs 0:16:32.000,0:16:39.040 of panic on my physician’s face. He had already  done the best he could have. He took a stance 0:16:39.040,0:16:46.720 that mine was not a case of viral arthritis as  such. He said it was most probably the onset of 0:16:46.720,0:16:54.480 rheumatoid arthritis. Hence he referred me to the  most popular rheumatoid specialist in the city. 0:16:55.120,0:17:00.720 This scared me because rheumatoid  arthritis, unlike viral arthritis, 0:17:00.720,0:17:07.280 was an autoimmune disease. And I was aware that  medical science hadn’t yet been able to invent 0:17:07.280,0:17:16.080 a total cure for any autoimmune irregularity. The new doctor tested my blood to assess if it 0:17:16.080,0:17:23.840 was, indeed, the onset of rheumatoid arthritis.  When he came to the conclusion that it was most 0:17:23.840,0:17:33.040 probably so, he started me on a course of what I  call “medicinal management”. It meant that I was 0:17:33.040,0:17:41.600 doomed to live with this condition for the rest  of my life, managing the disease perennially. 0:17:41.600,0:17:47.040 I told him I wasn’t interested in disease  management alone. What I was interested 0:17:47.040,0:17:54.160 in was a complete cure. I asked him  if it was possible or not. If it was, 0:17:54.160,0:17:59.520 I would prefer living a free life without  any precautionary conditions attached to 0:17:59.520,0:18:05.760 it. If it wasn’t, I would rather say  bye to the world. He could not say yes 0:18:05.760,0:18:12.000 but tried his best to change my mind and  gave me a month-long course of medication. 0:18:12.640,0:18:19.600 I told him I had done my own personal research on  central fixation and its connection to lifestyle 0:18:19.600,0:18:26.320 diseases. I added that, while giving his  medication a shot, I would start my central 0:18:26.320,0:18:32.160 fixation procedure simultaneously. If, at the  end of the month, I was able to live without 0:18:32.160,0:18:40.080 his next monthly dose, I’d continue living. In the end, to make things lighter, I said, 0:18:40.080,0:18:47.120 “If I do, I will invite rheumatoid patients the  world over to come to me for a permanent cure!” 0:18:47.120,0:18:52.800 He was ready, smiling with his  funnily crisp reply, “Hey! I need 0:18:52.800,0:18:59.440 to put food on the table for my family too!” I immediately started focusing on central 0:18:59.440,0:19:05.200 fixation of my body; something  I had ignored due to my trauma. 0:19:05.200,0:19:11.280 The chakras that helped me the most in healing  my condition through dissolving (or opening) 0:19:11.280,0:19:19.600 themselves were solar plexus chakra, throat  chakra and crown chakra. I can understand if, 0:19:19.600,0:19:25.200 now, you are wondering to yourself, “If  existence of chakras is the problem, 0:19:25.200,0:19:32.640 how can they ‘help’?” Let me explain. Solar  plexus chakra opened up to keep my thoracic 0:19:32.640,0:19:39.200 diaphragm relaxed making my exhalations longer  than my inhalations while breathing. Opening 0:19:39.200,0:19:46.080 the throat chakra brought my arms and hands back  to their natural posture for good. And an open 0:19:46.080,0:19:56.080 crown chakra took care of my autoimmune tendency. I lived! Not only lived, I thrived. And I have 0:19:56.080,0:20:02.880 never needed arthritis medication since. Atherosclerosis: 0:20:02.880,0:20:09.040 Atherosclerosis narrows the walls of the  arteries due to atheromatous plaque buildup 0:20:09.040,0:20:16.960 causing lesions in the artery walls. The narrowing  of arteries reduces the flow of oxygenated blood 0:20:16.960,0:20:24.320 to the associated body parts. With the passage  of time, it may lead to coronary artery disease, 0:20:24.320,0:20:30.880 stroke, peripheral artery disease  or complications in the kidney. 0:20:30.880,0:20:35.760 The process of atheromatous plaque  buildup is not well understood. It 0:20:35.760,0:20:42.160 retains low density lipoprotein in the walls  of these arteries. Whether this retention 0:20:42.160,0:20:48.240 is the cause or an effect of the entire  inflammatory process remains a mystery. 0:20:48.880,0:20:54.960 The plaque deposited in the muscle cells of the  artery walls makes them stretch to accommodate 0:20:54.960,0:21:03.120 its bulk. This makes the artery wall stiff and  unable to stretch further with every heartbeat. 0:21:03.120,0:21:09.840 The condition ends up in hypertension and heart  condition in the due course of time. As of now, 0:21:09.840,0:21:16.560 its medical prognoses are largely guesswork. I propose that opening the solar plexus 0:21:16.560,0:21:23.440 and heart chakras tends to both,  prevent and cure atherosclerosis. 0:21:23.440,0:21:30.240 As I have pointed earlier, Skeletal Leap with  the help of its skeletal meditations can heal 0:21:30.240,0:21:38.000 the body anatomy in the region of the lungs and  heart, especially in the main arteries nearby. 0:21:38.000,0:21:43.280 This healed anatomy automatically heals the  compromised physiology of the associated 0:21:43.280,0:21:51.360 organs through innate body intelligence. This is what Hippocrates, Father of Medicine, 0:21:51.360,0:21:59.440 meant when he said, “Disease [is] not an entity,  but a fluctuating condition of the patient’s body, 0:21:59.440,0:22:06.480 a battle between the substance of disease and  the natural self-healing tendency of the body.” 0:22:06.480,0:22:11.840 Asthma: Asthma inflames the air passages to and from the 0:22:11.840,0:22:19.280 lungs resulting in obstruction of the breathing  process. It causes wheezing, coughing, a tightened 0:22:19.280,0:22:27.600 chest and a very short breathing pattern. Episodes  of asthmatic fits can occur at a frequency ranging 0:22:27.600,0:22:34.080 from a few times a day to a few times a week. Asthma is considered to be a psychosomatic 0:22:34.080,0:22:40.880 disease, caused by a combination of genetic  and environmental factors. The disease doesn’t 0:22:40.880,0:22:47.200 have any permanent cure but is manageable  with the use of inhalers comprising beta-2 0:22:47.200,0:22:55.360 agonists like salbutamol and corticosteroids. It is a widespread disease throughout the 0:22:55.360,0:23:05.360 world affecting 262 million people that  killed 461,000 of them in 2019 alone. 0:23:05.360,0:23:10.480 It is my contention that the chakra attached  to this psychosomatic disease is the solar 0:23:10.480,0:23:16.240 plexus chakra which tends to  set asthma right when opened. 0:23:17.040,0:23:24.080 Asthma is a psychosomatic disease in which the  trachea gets compromised, both in its anatomy 0:23:24.080,0:23:32.160 and physiology. Skeletal Leap uses skeletal  meditations to heal its anatomy which, in turn, 0:23:32.160,0:23:37.600 can then heal itself. Cancer: 0:23:37.600,0:23:44.720 Cancer signifies uncontrolled cell growth that  may spread to the neighboring parts of the body. 0:23:44.720,0:23:51.600 More than 90% cases are caused by mutations  owing to environmental and lifestyle factors. 0:23:51.600,0:23:59.760 The rest of them are caused by inherited genetics. How does a normal cell turn into a cancerous cell? 0:23:59.760,0:24:07.600 In order to change its regulation, its genes  must get altered in one way or another. These 0:24:07.600,0:24:15.040 altered genes comprise oncogenes and tumor  suppressor genes. Oncogenes promote cell 0:24:15.040,0:24:22.080 growth and reproduction. Tumor suppressor  genes inhibit cell division and survival. 0:24:22.080,0:24:27.200 Mutations cause a gain or loss  of a portion of a chromosome. 0:24:27.200,0:24:34.240 So, the process develops as follows: A mutation takes place in the error 0:24:34.240,0:24:40.080 correcting system in a cell. A further mutation takes place 0:24:40.080,0:24:46.240 in an oncogene causing the cell to  grow and reproduce more speedily. 0:24:47.200,0:24:52.000 A further mutation takes place in a  tumor suppressor gene causing the cell 0:24:52.000,0:24:59.360 to disrupt its tumor suppressing system. A further mutation takes place in the 0:24:59.360,0:25:05.840 signaling system of the cell causing it to send  erroneous signals to its neighboring cells. 0:25:06.960,0:25:13.040 As a result, the cell in question  turns into a cancerous cell. 0:25:13.040,0:25:19.680 In 2019, 18 million cancer cases were  reported. Annually, 8.8 million deaths 0:25:19.680,0:25:26.400 are caused by cancer. It remains one of the  biggest challenges facing medical science today. 0:25:26.400,0:25:30.240 My study suggests that opening  the crown chakra is the most 0:25:30.240,0:25:36.720 instrumental in tending to keep cancer away. Cancer is a disease of the immune system going 0:25:36.720,0:25:43.520 hay wire. Skeletal Leap contends that it can  heal the overall anatomy of a body afflicted 0:25:43.520,0:25:50.560 with cancer including its most important part  in the skull that houses the brain in it. 0:25:50.560,0:25:57.120 Chronic Liver Disease or Liver Cirrhosis: Chronic liver disease is the process of 0:25:57.120,0:26:02.560 disruption of the entire liver structure  and function resulting in liver fibrosis 0:26:02.560,0:26:09.440 and liver cirrhosis. Liver fibrosis means  accumulation of extracellular matrix proteins 0:26:09.440,0:26:16.480 including collagen. That is what happens in  most kinds of chronic liver disease. Advanced 0:26:16.480,0:26:23.440 liver fibrosis ends up in liver cirrhosis  ultimately requiring liver transplantation. 0:26:23.440,0:26:32.640 Signs of liver disease are associated with two  different parameters - decompensation and cause. 0:26:32.640,0:26:38.480 Signs and Symptoms: Nail clubbing  | Palmar erythema | Spider 0:26:38.480,0:26:47.200 nevi (angiomata) | Gynaecomastia | Feminizing  hair distribution | Testicular atrophy | Small 0:26:47.200,0:26:54.240 irregular shrunken liver | Anaemia | Caput medusae 0:26:54.240,0:26:57.120 Signs associated with the Decompensation: 0:26:57.120,0:27:06.480 Drowsiness | Hyperventilation | Metabolic flap  | Jaundice | Ascites| Leukonychia | Peripheral 0:27:06.480,0:27:14.720 oedema | Bruising | Acid-base imbalance,  most commonly respiratory alkalosis 0:27:14.720,0:27:21.680 Signs associated with the Cause: Dupuytren’s  contracture | Parotid | Peripheral 0:27:21.680,0:27:28.000 neuropathy | Cerebellar signs |  Liver enlargement | Kayser-Fleischer 0:27:28.000,0:27:34.800 rings | Increased pigmentation of the  skin | Signs of right heart failure 0:27:34.800,0:27:41.760 Cirrhosis is the final stage of chronic  liver disease. Between 1990 and 2017, 0:27:41.760,0:27:49.840 the number of cases of decompensated cirrhosis  around the world rose from 5.2 million to 10.6 0:27:49.840,0:27:58.320 million. By 2019, cirrhosis caused 1.47  million deaths worldwide. The major causes 0:27:58.320,0:28:06.800 were alcoholism, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. Opening the root chakra, the sacral chakra and 0:28:06.800,0:28:14.960 the solar plexus chakra, in my analysis, plays the  most important role in keeping the liver intact. 0:28:14.960,0:28:20.320 Liver is a part of the gut and,  hence, Skeletal Leap addresses it 0:28:20.320,0:28:26.400 through skeletal meditation aimed at healing  the anatomy of the gut. The healed anatomy 0:28:26.400,0:28:32.560 tends to heal its physiology depending on  which stage it has already proceeded to. 0:28:33.360,0:28:37.280 Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: 0:28:37.280,0:28:43.200 Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)  is a progressive lung disease caused by chronic 0:28:43.200,0:28:51.520 respiratory issues. The condition is characterized  either by emphysema or chronic bronchitis. 0:28:51.520,0:28:58.960 Emphysema breaks down the walls of enlarged  airspaces resulting in irreversible lung damage. 0:28:59.680,0:29:08.880 In 2019, the condition took a toll of 3.23 million  lives. An astonishing 391.9 million cases were 0:29:08.880,0:29:19.280 estimated in 2019, making it almost 10% of the  global population aged between 30 and 79 years. 0:29:19.280,0:29:25.680 An open solar plexus chakra tends to keep  chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at bay. 0:29:26.480,0:29:33.520 Healing depends on which stage the disease has  already progressed to. In case irreversible lung 0:29:33.520,0:29:40.640 damage has not yet happened, Skeletal Leap can  successfully facilitate skeletal meditations to 0:29:40.640,0:29:48.720 heal the anatomy of the chest region. Once the  anatomy has healed, the physiology follows suit. 0:29:48.720,0:29:53.120 Colitis: Colitis is a chronic condition of 0:29:53.120,0:30:00.800 an inflamed colon, with or without ulcers. There are quite a few different types of 0:30:00.800,0:30:06.720 colitis ranging from autoimmune  to infectious colitis, namely: 0:30:06.720,0:30:08.878 Autoimmune Colitis: Inflammatory Bowel Disease,  comprising ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease 0:30:08.878,0:30:11.920 | Microscopic Colitis: comprising lymphocytic  colitis and collagenous colitis | Diversion 0:30:11.920,0:30:17.600 Colitis | Chemical Colitis |  Chemotherapy-induced Colitis | Radiation 0:30:17.600,0:30:25.600 Colitis | Checkpoint-Inhibitor-Induced Colitis  | Ischemic Colitis | Infectious Colitis 0:30:26.400,0:30:33.360 I have learnt that opening the root chakra,  the sacral chakra and the solar plexus chakra 0:30:33.360,0:30:40.080 is most instrumental in treating colitis. The healing depends on which type of colitis 0:30:40.080,0:30:47.120 it is. Hence the safest bet is to heal the entire  body’s anatomy through skeletal meditations with 0:30:47.120,0:30:53.440 a special emphasis on the gut. Irritable Bowel Syndrome: 0:30:53.440,0:31:00.720 Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) comprises  abdominal pain with inconsistent bowel movements. 0:31:01.360,0:31:04.000 There are four types of this condition: 0:31:04.960,0:31:12.320 IBS-D - characterized by persisting diarrhea  | IBS-C - characterized by persisting 0:31:12.320,0:31:18.240 constipation | BS-M/IBS-A - characterized  by persisting diarrhea and persisting 0:31:18.240,0:31:26.480 constipation | IBS-U - characterized by neither  persisting diarrhea nor persisting constipation 0:31:27.120,0:31:32.320 The condition is often accompanied  by anxiety, depression and chronic 0:31:32.320,0:31:38.560 fatigue syndrome all of which affect  the overall quality of life negatively. 0:31:38.560,0:31:45.440 Irritable bowel syndrome affects 1 in 10  people of the entire world population. 0:31:45.440,0:31:51.840 Again, opening the root chakra, the sacral  chakra and the solar plexus chakra is the 0:31:51.840,0:31:58.160 most instrumental in treating IBS. When it comes to healing IBS, 0:31:58.160,0:32:03.680 Skeletal Leap tends to work at two different  levels of healing the body anatomy through 0:32:03.680,0:32:10.240 skeletal meditations. The first one works at  the level of gut and the second works at the 0:32:10.240,0:32:17.440 level of skull. The two together address the  digestive system with the accompanying anxiety, 0:32:17.440,0:32:23.920 depression and chronic fatigue syndrome. Type 2 Diabetes: 0:32:23.920,0:32:29.680 Type 2 diabetes is characterized by high blood  sugar caused by a reduction in insulin produced 0:32:29.680,0:32:41.200 by the pancreas. 90% of diabetic cases are of this  type. The remaining 10% (8.4 million estimated in 0:32:41.200,0:32:50.640 2021 worldwide) constitute type 1 diabetes which  is autoimmune along with gestational diabetes. 0:32:51.360,0:32:59.040 The classic symptoms of type 2 diabetes are: Frequent urination (polyuria) | Increased 0:32:59.040,0:33:07.200 thirst (polydipsia) | Increased  hunger (polyphagia) | Weight loss 0:33:07.200,0:33:08.720 Other symptoms include: 0:33:08.720,0:33:18.320 Blurred vision | Itchiness | Peripheral neuropathy  | Vaginal infections | Fatigue | Loss of taste 0:33:18.960,0:33:24.720 The causative factors are a combination  of lifestyle and genetic factors. 0:33:24.720,0:33:33.200 In 2021, 537 million people were afflicted  with diabetes the world over. It shortens 0:33:33.200,0:33:41.600 life-expectancy by as much as around 10 years. Once again, opening the root chakra, 0:33:41.600,0:33:47.680 the sacral chakra and the solar plexus chakra  is the most instrumental in treating diabetes. 0:33:48.880,0:33:55.440 The healing process needs to focus on healing the  anatomy of the pancreas. Its widespread prevalence 0:33:55.440,0:34:03.040 the world over makes this disease very serious.  Skeletal meditations that heal the entire body’s 0:34:03.040,0:34:11.600 anatomy with special emphasis on the gut seem  to work the best to eradicate the condition. 0:34:11.600,0:34:16.960 Cardiovascular Disease: Cardiovascular disease is a 0:34:16.960,0:34:22.640 category of various diseases associated  with the circulatory system such as: 0:34:22.640,0:34:29.360 Coronary artery diseases including angina  and myocardial infarction | Stroke | Heart 0:34:29.360,0:34:37.280 failure | Hypertensive heart disease | Rheumatic  heart disease | Cardiomyopathy | Abnormal 0:34:37.280,0:34:45.200 heart rhythms | Congenital heart disease |  Valvular heart disease | Carditis | Aortic 0:34:45.200,0:34:54.080 aneurysms | Peripheral artery disease |  Thromboembolic disease | Venous thrombosis 0:34:54.080,0:34:57.680 Genetics is an important  factor since it could increase 0:34:57.680,0:35:04.960 the risk of cardiovascular disease by 300%. Cardiovascular diseases are the biggest cause 0:35:04.960,0:35:12.960 of death throughout the world, the only exception  being Africa. It was estimated that 17.9 million 0:35:12.960,0:35:21.840 people died from CVDs in 2019, representing  32% of all global deaths. Of these deaths, 0:35:21.840,0:35:28.560 85% were due to heart attack and stroke. The solar plexus chakra and the heart chakra 0:35:28.560,0:35:32.960 play the main role in dealing  with cardiovascular diseases. 0:35:32.960,0:35:39.680 These are, again, very widespread diseases.  Skeletal Leap’s answer is to heal the entire 0:35:39.680,0:35:46.960 body’s anatomy through skeletal meditations  with a special emphasis on the chest region. 0:35:46.960,0:35:50.080 Hypertension: Hypertension, 0:35:50.080,0:35:56.160 aka high blood pressure, is characterized by a  persistent rise in blood pressure. It primarily 0:35:56.160,0:36:03.200 harms a person by increasing the risk of: Stroke | Coronary artery disease | Heart failure | 0:36:03.200,0:36:12.960 Atrial fibrillation | Peripheral arterial disease  | Vision loss | Chronic kidney disease | Dementia 0:36:12.960,0:36:19.680 Hypertension may be a primary condition, caused  by lifestyle aberrations or genetic factors, 0:36:19.680,0:36:23.840 or secondary, as a side-effect of other causes. 0:36:23.840,0:36:29.280 Blood pressure is measured as systolic  and diastolic pressures that correspond 0:36:29.280,0:36:36.080 to its maximum and minimum pressures. The condition affects 1.28 billion 0:36:36.080,0:36:43.840 adults aged 30-79 years which is  about 16% of the global population. 0:36:43.840,0:36:54.480 It was also a factor in 13.5% of all deaths  counting to 7.6 million in the year 2011. 0:36:54.480,0:37:03.760 Opening the solar plexus, heart and crown chakras  tends to do the needful to keep hypertension away. 0:37:03.760,0:37:10.000 Skeletal Leap achieves this through skeletal  meditations focused on healing the body’s anatomy 0:37:10.000,0:37:17.280 in two parts - the chest and the skull. Metabolic Syndrome: 0:37:17.280,0:37:22.000 Metabolic syndrome is a condition  characterized by the presence of any 0:37:22.000,0:37:29.520 three of the following conditions in the body: Abdominal obesity | Hypertension | High blood 0:37:29.520,0:37:37.040 sugar | High serum triglycerides |  Low serum high density lipoprotein 0:37:37.040,0:37:44.880 Left untreated, this condition, affecting  around 20-25% of global population, 0:37:44.880,0:37:50.960 may result in cardiovascular  disease or type 2 diabetes. 0:37:50.960,0:37:53.520 Opening the root, sacral, 0:37:53.520,0:37:59.920 solar plexus and heart chakras tend to  address metabolic syndrome effectively. 0:38:00.640,0:38:06.640 Healing the body’s anatomy in the gut and  the chest seems to work best in relieving 0:38:06.640,0:38:14.400 the syndrome. That is exactly what Skeletal  Leap focuses on through skeletal meditations. 0:38:14.400,0:38:18.960 Chronic Kidney Disease: Chronic kidney disease is 0:38:18.960,0:38:24.880 characterized by a loss in kidney functions.  The causative factors of the disease are: 0:38:24.880,0:38:33.520 Diabetes | Hypertension | Glomerulonephritis  | Polycystic kidney disease 0:38:33.520,0:38:39.040 In the year 2022, more than 800  million people are estimated to 0:38:39.040,0:38:45.280 be affected by chronic kidney disease  globally, causing 1.3 million deaths. 0:38:45.840,0:38:51.200 Opening the root, sacral and solar  plexus chakras is the most instrumental 0:38:51.200,0:38:56.960 in treating chronic kidney disease. Changing the body’s anatomy in the gut 0:38:56.960,0:39:02.560 through skeletal meditations seems to work  provided the disease has not progressed to 0:39:02.560,0:39:07.920 an advanced stage. Osteoporosis: 0:39:07.920,0:39:14.000 Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by  the deterioration of bone tissue resulting in 0:39:14.000,0:39:21.200 lower bone mass. It tends to make bones  more fragile and prone to fractures. 0:39:21.200,0:39:26.720 Homo sapiens have a greater tendency to  suffer this disease as their bones are more 0:39:26.720,0:39:35.680 porous than other primates. This is, at once, an  expected outcome as well as cause of bipedalism. 0:39:35.680,0:39:42.400 Porous bones in Homo sapiens absorb the stress  on two surfaces as compared to four in their 0:39:42.400,0:39:49.680 primate cousins. At the same time, porosity  means a lighter and more flexible skeleton 0:39:49.680,0:39:56.320 that is of much benefit to Homo sapiens. The disease is more common in females 0:39:56.320,0:40:05.680 than in males. It affects 18.3% of the global  population, which breaks down to 11.7% of males 0:40:05.680,0:40:16.160 and 23.1% females. It can be prevented to a great  extent if we ensure necessary calcium in our diet. 0:40:16.160,0:40:22.640 Osteoporosis responds to opening all 7  chakras in one associated sequential order. 0:40:23.360,0:40:27.840 Skeletal Leap addresses the entire body’s  anatomy through skeletal meditations 0:40:27.840,0:40:34.560 to alleviate osteoporosis. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: 0:40:34.560,0:40:40.080 Polycystic ovary syndrome is an endocrine  disorder in females of reproductive age, 0:40:40.080,0:40:46.160 that causes cysts in their ovaries. The effects and characteristics 0:40:46.160,0:40:50.880 of the disease include: Irregular menstrual periods | Heavy 0:40:50.880,0:41:00.000 periods | Excess hair | Acne | Pelvic pain |  Difficulty in conceiving | Patches of thick, dark 0:41:00.000,0:41:09.680 and velvety skin | Hyperandrogenism | Anovulation  | Insulin resistance | Neuroendocrine disruption 0:41:10.400,0:41:17.360 The condition affects an estimated 8-13% of  the female population globally while another 0:41:17.360,0:41:23.840 70% of the affected women are estimated  to be undiagnosed. There are no known 0:41:23.840,0:41:30.480 causes of or cure for this disease. Opening the sacral chakra is crucial 0:41:30.480,0:41:35.440 in curing PCOS. PCOS responds the 0:41:35.440,0:41:41.520 best to healing the gut’s anatomy and  physiology through skeletal meditations. 0:41:41.520,0:41:44.800 Stroke: Stroke is a 0:41:44.800,0:41:51.920 condition characterized by a lack of blood flow to  parts of the brain. It causes brain cells to die 0:41:51.920,0:42:00.560 in those affected parts. The condition is of two  types, ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. In 0:42:00.560,0:42:08.880 the former type, a reduced supply of blood is the  causative factor. In the latter, it is bleeding. 0:42:08.880,0:42:14.800 The major risk factors causing a stroke are: Hypertension | High blood 0:42:14.800,0:42:24.960 cholesterol | Obesity | Diabetes mellitus |  End-stage kidney disease | Atrial fibrillation 0:42:24.960,0:42:34.640 In the year 2019, ischemic stroke befell 101.5  million people globally of which 3.3 million 0:42:34.640,0:42:44.480 were left dead whereas 2.9 million died of a  hemorrhagic stroke among 20.7 million that were 0:42:44.480,0:42:53.760 affected by it. In 2015, stroke was the second  biggest killer next to coronary artery disease. 0:42:54.800,0:43:00.320 Opening the solar plexus, heart and crown  chakras is the most important maneuver 0:43:00.320,0:43:06.960 to keep any probability of a stroke away. Skeletal Leap focuses on healing the anatomy 0:43:06.960,0:43:13.280 of the chest and skull through skeletal  meditations to relieve this condition. 0:43:13.280,0:43:18.480 Major Depressive Disorder: Major depressive disorder 0:43:18.480,0:43:25.440 aka depression is a dysfunction of the mind that  also affects the thinking capacity of the brain. 0:43:25.440,0:43:30.000 The condition is characterized by: Low mood | Low self esteem at every 0:43:30.000,0:43:38.880 level | Loss of interest in routine as well as  in fun activities | Delusions | Hallucinations 0:43:38.880,0:43:45.360 The condition, once contracted, stays  for a few months to the entire lifetime. 0:43:45.360,0:43:51.600 Psychiatry treats the victims with antidepressant  medication and psychotherapy. In case of 0:43:51.600,0:43:59.360 emergencies like acute suicidal tendencies, the  patient needs to be hospitalized for safety. 0:43:59.360,0:44:05.520 The causes are believed to be genetic,  environmental as well as psychological. 0:44:05.520,0:44:12.080 But nothing has yet proved to be of much  help in curing the disease once and forever. 0:44:12.080,0:44:19.440 In the year 2023, major depressive  disorder afflicted 280 million people 0:44:19.440,0:44:27.360 globally. That amounts to almost 4% of  the entire world population. In general, 0:44:27.360,0:44:33.600 depression has already started assuming  widespread proportions the world over. 0:44:33.600,0:44:42.560 Two Interesting Stories of Internalizing Anger In my personal experience, depression internalizes 0:44:42.560,0:44:48.320 the patient’s aggressive emotions  against themselves. For example, 0:44:48.320,0:44:55.600 it had wrapped its claws around one of my  friends some 40-odd years ago. He could never 0:44:55.600,0:45:02.640 come out of it in the true sense of the word. Once, even in his acutely depressed mode, 0:45:02.640,0:45:10.000 he got angry with me about something we had been  discussing. And he unleashed that anger. As he 0:45:10.000,0:45:17.840 did so, he instantaneously seemed to have come out  of his depression. He sounded exactly like he used 0:45:17.840,0:45:25.600 to sound before he had fallen victim to it. Once  his aggressive expression ended, he slid back into 0:45:25.600,0:45:33.600 his depression. He returned to internalizing his  anger - a characteristic symptom of depression. 0:45:33.600,0:45:39.440 I don’t mean to say that aggression or anger  is a healthy stance of mind. I have already 0:45:39.440,0:45:46.160 told you under the topic of ‘Arthritis’ how my  suppressed anger had afflicted me with succumbing 0:45:46.160,0:45:53.680 to viral arthritis. What I mean to say is that  aggression can bring one out of one’s depression. 0:45:53.680,0:46:02.000 It can bring one to a state of so-called ‘normal’. I witnessed another case of internalized anger, 0:46:02.000,0:46:08.080 this time in a terminal schizophrenic on  street. He was a recluse who kept roaming 0:46:08.080,0:46:15.600 aimlessly on streets, talking gibberish to no  one in particular. One day, I stood street-side 0:46:15.600,0:46:22.240 with a group of my trainees. It was then that  he passed us by. One of my very aggressive 0:46:22.240,0:46:30.960 trainees mocked him with a derogatory remark.  And what we witnessed next was eye-opening. 0:46:30.960,0:46:37.200 The terminal schizophrenic stopped for a moment,  turned back and addressed this aggressive trainee 0:46:37.200,0:46:45.200 of mine loudly. He yelled, “One should at least  possess a sense of etiquette, if nothing else.” 0:46:45.200,0:46:49.920 Immediately thereafter, he went back  to being his gibberish old self. 0:46:51.280,0:46:57.200 We were all taken aback by what we had just  seen and heard. A terminal schizophrenic 0:46:57.200,0:47:03.600 had momentarily come out of his illness  and then voluntarily slid back into it! 0:47:03.600,0:47:09.680 Do people take a secure refuge in their mental  disorders unconsciously? Maybe they take this 0:47:09.680,0:47:14.800 secure refuge through internalizing their  emotions against themselves to avoid facing 0:47:14.800,0:47:22.400 the harsh realities of life unconsciously. It is something we really need to research! 0:47:22.400,0:47:27.200 As far as chakras are concerned,  the chakra that is key to fighting 0:47:27.200,0:47:33.440 depression is an open crown chakra. Thankfully, today’s world understands 0:47:33.440,0:47:40.160 the seriousness of mental illnesses quite well.  That is why Skeletal Leap focuses on healing the 0:47:40.160,0:47:46.640 entire body anatomy, which, in turn, tends to  heal the neurology and the psychology of the 0:47:46.640,0:47:51.520 entire mind-body system. Obesity: 0:47:51.520,0:47:59.680 Obesity as a debilitating condition of excess fat  on the body disrupts health, fitness and wellness. 0:48:00.480,0:48:06.480 Obesity is quantitatively defined  as body mass index (BMI) crossing 0:48:06.480,0:48:10.960 30 kilogram of body weight per  meter square of height. The range 0:48:10.960,0:48:16.080 between 25-30 kilogram per meter  square is defined as overweight. 0:48:16.800,0:48:19.680 The condition is considered  to be a breeding ground for: 0:48:19.680,0:48:26.560 Cardiovascular diseases | Type 2 diabetes  | Obstructive sleep apnea | Some specific 0:48:26.560,0:48:33.440 cancers | Osteoarthritis | Depression (in  a dialectical relationship with obesity) 0:48:34.080,0:48:37.360 Obesity has a long list of  causative factors including: 0:48:37.360,0:48:43.120 Dietary imbalance | Physical  inactivity | Automotive devices | Urban 0:48:43.120,0:48:52.240 lifestyle | Genetics | Excess medicinal intake  | Mental dysfunctions | Endocrine disorders 0:48:52.240,0:48:58.160 Right now, more than 42% of all Americans  are obese. Also, the number of obese people 0:48:58.160,0:49:05.040 globally has more than doubled in the last 30  years resulting in 2.8 million annual deaths by 0:49:05.040,0:49:15.680 2021. By the year 2015, the US and China topped  the list of obese populations. By the same year, 0:49:15.680,0:49:21.920 China and India topped the list of countries  with the largest numbers of obese children. 0:49:21.920,0:49:28.400 Obesity throughout the world has assumed a  debilitating stature making its scale even 0:49:28.400,0:49:34.560 larger than any other disease. That is why and  how the weight loss business has become one of 0:49:34.560,0:49:41.280 the most lucrative businesses the world over! Skeletal Leap addresses the challenge of 0:49:41.280,0:49:47.200 obesity through skeletal meditations  healing the entire body’s anatomy. 0:49:47.200,0:49:52.640 Here is an interesting corollary: The best way to lose belly fat is 0:49:52.640,0:49:58.960 opening the solar plexus chakra. Doing  so relaxes the thoracic diaphragm which, 0:49:58.960,0:50:06.160 in turn, makes exhalations more emphatic than  inhalations while breathing. And, as breathing 0:50:06.160,0:50:14.080 is a 24 hour process, it tends to lose belly fat  much faster than any other weight loss method. 0:50:14.080,0:50:18.400 Vascular Dementia: Vascular dementia is a type of 0:50:18.400,0:50:24.400 dementia caused by aberrations in blood supply  to the brain. Such aberrations result in minor 0:50:24.400,0:50:31.040 strokes accompanied by degenerative cognition.  With the passage of time, the brain structure 0:50:31.040,0:50:38.480 experiences an irreversible cognitive regression. Vascular dementia is the second biggest cause 0:50:38.480,0:50:44.720 of dementia-related deaths, the first being  Alzheimer’s disease. The condition afflicts 0:50:44.720,0:50:51.440 1.5% of the population in Western countries and  an even larger section in the rest of the world. 0:50:52.560,0:50:58.720 Opening the crown chakra tends to heal  vascular dementia the most effective way. 0:50:58.720,0:51:03.760 Skeletal Leap addresses dementia through  skeletal meditations healing the entire 0:51:03.760,0:51:11.440 body’s anatomy. As anatomy heals,  neurology and physiology follow suit. 0:51:11.440,0:51:16.800 Immune System Dysfunction: Our immune system is a defensive network of 0:51:16.800,0:51:24.480 biological processes aimed at protection against  diseases. It first detects a pathogen, animate or 0:51:24.480,0:51:32.320 inanimate, and then responds to it appropriately. It has two major subsystems: 0:51:32.320,0:51:36.720 Innate immune system -  protects against any pathogen 0:51:37.680,0:51:44.880 Adaptive immune system - protects against those  pathogens for which antibodies have already been 0:51:44.880,0:51:50.960 formed (which is how vaccines work) Immune system dysfunction may cause: 0:51:50.960,0:51:56.800 Autoimmune diseases |  Inflammatory diseases | Cancer 0:51:56.800,0:51:58.640 Immunodeficiency may stem from: 0:51:58.640,0:52:01.360 Genetic disease like severe combined 0:52:01.360,0:52:10.320 immunodeficiency | HIV/AIDS | Use  of immunosuppressive medication 0:52:10.320,0:52:15.440 Autoimmunity indicates a hyperactive  immune system attacking its own healthy 0:52:15.440,0:52:20.960 tissues mistaking them to be foreign  invaders. It may result in diseases like: 0:52:20.960,0:52:27.920 Hashimoto’s thyroiditis | Rheumatoid  arthritis | Diabetes mellitus type 1 | 0:52:27.920,0:52:35.920 Systemic lupus erythematosus | Inflammatory bowel  disease | Multiple sclerosis | Guillain-Barre 0:52:35.920,0:52:42.240 syndrome | Chronic inflammatory demyelinating  polyneuropathy | Psoriasis | Grave’s 0:52:42.240,0:52:54.080 disease | Myasthenia gravis | Vasculitis | Celiac  disease | Addison’s disease | Pernicious anemia 0:52:54.080,0:53:00.800 Innate immune system is the ultimate savior as  it works in a generic manner against pathogens 0:53:00.800,0:53:08.000 through pattern recognition receptors. Adaptive  immune system may work in a stronger manner 0:53:08.000,0:53:14.880 but only against limited pathogens. These few  pathogens are the ones that the innate immune 0:53:14.880,0:53:21.440 system has already built antibodies against. Hence everything essentially falls back on the 0:53:21.440,0:53:27.840 protective support system created by the  innate immune system in the first place. 0:53:27.840,0:53:34.080 The Story of How My Innate Immune System  Protected Me against the Coronavirus 0:53:34.080,0:53:40.800 In the year 2021, I had a family of relatives  over. We would soon realize that all three of 0:53:40.800,0:53:47.360 them had already contracted the Omicron variant  of the Covid-19 virus on their flight to my city. 0:53:47.360,0:53:54.080 As was expected, they passed on the extremely  contagious virus to my entire family as well. Even 0:53:54.080,0:54:00.960 the vaccinated ones weren’t being spared from it. First of all, my daughter and a vaccinated friend 0:54:00.960,0:54:07.840 of hers who had accompanied her to our house  went down. Then another friend of mine who 0:54:07.840,0:54:16.160 had visited me in their presence fell prey to  it. Next, it was my wife to contract Omicron. 0:54:16.160,0:54:20.960 Logically, I should have been the next to  catch the virus as there was none else left 0:54:20.960,0:54:28.240 uninfected. Everyone including me kept waiting  for the virus to afflict me but it just didn’t 0:54:28.240,0:54:36.480 happen. All of us were astonished. I was not even  vaccinated. It occurred to me that my practice of 0:54:36.480,0:54:43.280 central fixation might have been my savior. Central fixation empties the mind and sets 0:54:43.280,0:54:48.640 it free not only turning the mind-body  system spontaneously intelligent but also 0:54:48.640,0:54:56.320 strengthening its innate immune system. It opens  chakras via skeletal re-posturing of the body. 0:54:56.320,0:55:02.800 It is this skeletal re-posturing that works  wonders and is at the heart of Skeletal Leap. 0:55:03.600,0:55:10.480 The Omicron variant later entered the  phase of widespread contagion. In contrast, 0:55:10.480,0:55:17.360 I was spared despite close proximity to  its source right inside my own house. 0:55:17.360,0:55:22.000 This experience does say something, perhaps a lot, 0:55:22.000,0:55:28.800 about the extraordinary efficacy of central  fixation of the eyes, the body and the mind! 0:55:29.440,0:55:36.240 I always felt that we, the Homo sapiens all  over the world, overreacted to Covid-19 and 0:55:36.240,0:55:41.520 rushed in a host of vaccines without  even doing their human trials. That is 0:55:41.520,0:55:49.120 why even the vaccinated ones aren’t really  safe against the virus and its variants. 0:55:49.120,0:55:54.960 Skeletal Leap addresses all immune system  dysfunctions through skeletal meditations, healing 0:55:54.960,0:56:03.040 the entire body’s anatomy. Once the anatomy  heals, the physiology follows in its footsteps. 0:56:03.040,0:56:08.800 The other day, I received a text meme forwarded  to my mobile that made me laugh out loud (which 0:56:08.800,0:56:16.400 I generally don’t). It’s hilarious!  Must enjoy reading it in my PDF version. 0:56:16.400,0:56:23.200 We are going to look at the role of stress in  generating lifestyle diseases in the next episode. 0:56:23.920,0:56:29.360 We will also look at the role of  Skeletal Leap in dealing with stress. 0:56:29.360,0:56:36.720 Thanks for listening to this episode of Skeletal  Leap: A Living Adventure! In the next episode, 0:56:36.720,0:56:45.040 I will tell you about what stress really means  in terms of chakras and skeletal postures. 0:56:45.040,0:56:51.120 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community!  Subscribe to Skeletal Leap Newsletter. Skeletal Bones And Joints: How to Fix Jaw Posture Fast NOW! Podcast Episode 21

SKELETAL BONES AND JOINTS: HOW TO FIX JAW POSTURE FAST NOW! Welcome back to the 21st episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Skeletal Bones And Joints: How to Fix Jaw Posture Fast NOW!” will tell you about how skeletal postures affect mind through distorting skeletal joints. Human skeleton is not just a static chassis on which the rest of the body, with its various organs, stays erect. It is a highly complex moving machine that is capable of making miraculous maneuvers as and when required Let’s first look at the temporomandibular joints in greater detail. This joint comprises the only movable bone mandible in the skull. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally SKELETAL BONES AND JOINTS: HOW TO FIX JAW POSTURE FAST NOW! - SHOW NOTES Today’s episode titled “Skeletal Bones And Joints: How to Fix Jaw Posture Fast NOW!” explains the intricate relationship between skeletal postures and visual clarity. Join me as I explore how the human skeleton, a complex and dynamic structure, plays a vital role in our overall well-being, particularly our eyesight.  The episode focuses on the temporomandibular joints, the only movable bones in the skull, and how their alignment can significantly impact vision. Discover the surprising connections between jaw posture and blurred vision, a condition that has plagued humanity since the dawn of bipedalism.  I will explains how improper jaw alignment can lead to a cascade of neurophysiological issues affecting the mind and body. Learn about the importance of central fixation in enhancing visual clarity, regardless of your current eyesight.  The episode also covers the role of chakras in this process, revealing how skeletal reposturing can open energy pathways and restore visual acuity. My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome to “Skeletal 0:00:25.680,0:00:34.160 Leap: A Living Adventure”. Skeletal Leap  transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.160,0:00:37.200 Today’s episode will tell you about how skeletal 0:00:37.200,0:00:43.120 postures affect mind through  distorting skeletal joints. 0:00:43.120,0:00:48.960 Human skeleton is not just a static chassis on  which the rest of the body, with its various 0:00:48.960,0:00:56.800 organs, stays erect. It is a highly complex moving  machine that is capable of making miraculous 0:00:56.800,0:01:04.240 maneuvers as and when required. It does so with  the help of different kinds of skeletal joints. 0:01:04.240,0:01:10.240 Let’s first look at the temporomandibular  joints in greater detail. This joint comprises 0:01:10.240,0:01:17.280 the only movable bone mandible in the skull.  Temporomandibular Joints 0:01:17.280,0:01:23.600 Temporomandibular joints connect the jawbone  to the skull at two points. It is a bilateral 0:01:23.600,0:01:30.720 synovial (freely mobile with synovial fluid)  joint between the temporal bone above and the 0:01:30.720,0:01:38.080 mandible below. Since it is bilateral, the  left and right parts always work together. 0:01:38.080,0:01:43.200 The joint comprises: The joint capsule is an 0:01:43.200,0:01:50.720 envelope attached to the mandibular fossa and the  articular tubercle above. It is also attached to 0:01:50.720,0:01:59.600 the neck of the condyle of the mandible below. The articular disc is a dense fibrocartilagenous 0:01:59.600,0:02:04.880 tissue between condyle of the  mandible and mandibular fossa. 0:02:06.160,0:02:10.480 Temporomandibular ligament is  the thickened lateral portion 0:02:10.480,0:02:19.440 of the stylomandibular ligament capsule. Sphenomandibular ligament becomes accentuated 0:02:19.440,0:02:25.680 and taut when the mandible is protruded. When are the temporomandibular joints 0:02:25.680,0:02:32.560 and their related muscles in a state of rest?  Surprisingly, it is not with the teeth biting 0:02:32.560,0:02:41.280 together but with a 2mm to 4mm of space between  them with both, the upper and the lower dentures, 0:02:41.280,0:02:48.240 being in the same plane. It is done via protruding  the lower jaw forward to bring the two of them 0:02:48.240,0:02:55.520 in the same plane across their entire width.  But almost no one ever postures them that way. 0:02:55.520,0:03:02.400 That is one of the postural faults humanity  has been living with, since bipedalism. 0:03:02.400,0:03:09.760 A fully open jaw measures 40 to 50mm between the  upper and lower front teeth. When the jaw moves, 0:03:09.760,0:03:16.160 it is only the mandible that moves. Mandible movements are called excursions. 0:03:16.160,0:03:24.560 There are two lateral excursions, left and right.  And there is a forward excursion called protrusion 0:03:24.560,0:03:30.240 that everyone does everyday while brushing  the teeth. It is because protrusion brings 0:03:30.240,0:03:37.360 the upper and the lower dentures in one single  plane enabling easy brushing. The excursion 0:03:37.360,0:03:44.080 opposite to protrusion is called retrusion. Now that we have got a basic understanding 0:03:44.080,0:03:48.960 of the temporomandibular joints,  let us investigate how and why our 0:03:48.960,0:03:58.560 vision - far or near - gets blurred. You may be  wondering what the jaw has to do with vision! 0:03:58.560,0:04:06.000 Well, that is exactly why this is one of the best  ways to investigate how skeletal postures affect 0:04:06.000,0:04:14.880 the mind. Alright…so, now we have gone from the  jaw to eyesight, all the way to the brain. We 0:04:14.880,0:04:21.680 are on the path to understanding how a corrupted  skeletal posture corrupts the mind by corrupting 0:04:21.680,0:04:27.840 the brain’s neurophysiology. Let me explain further. 0:04:27.840,0:04:33.040 How Posturing of Temporomandibular  Joints Affects Eyesight 0:04:33.760,0:04:40.160 Blurred vision is certainly a lifestyle disease. It has been present throughout the world since the 0:04:40.160,0:04:48.160 beginning of bipedalism. Almost everyone falls  prey to it, some of them early in life and the 0:04:48.160,0:04:55.840 rest after the age of 40. We don’t really bother  much about it since the use of eyeglasses has 0:04:55.840,0:05:02.640 been accepted as part of the modern lifestyle!  But what we are missing is that this lifestyle 0:05:02.640,0:05:10.240 disease doesn’t end with just a blurred vision. It  is just the beginning of a massive problem. It is 0:05:10.240,0:05:17.600 an indication and warning that the neurophysiology  of our entire body, including our face, is not 0:05:17.600,0:05:25.120 working right. It has already been afflicted  with a corrupted mind in our mind-body system. 0:05:26.000,0:05:33.120 It renders us vulnerable to various other  lifestyle diseases in time to come. Going 0:05:33.120,0:05:39.920 for a surgical option like LASIK doesn’t address  this vulnerability either. And that is because 0:05:39.920,0:05:46.880 LASIK just creates proxy eyeglasses within  the corneas of our eyes and nothing else. 0:05:47.600,0:05:53.840 Another reason to investigate blurred vision  as an example is that its correction through 0:05:53.840,0:06:00.880 skeletal meditation shows instant results.  That way, we can be sure about being on the 0:06:00.880,0:06:07.760 right track with our investigations into a  corrupted mind. Surprisingly, the human skull 0:06:07.760,0:06:14.320 is partially separate in its anatomy and  physiology from the human torso and limbs. 0:06:15.040,0:06:21.280 Hence, we can immediately empty the mind partially  of its visual corruption, in the skull alone, 0:06:21.280,0:06:30.320 through its skeletal re-posturing. Thus we can  check its effect on the eyesight then and there. 0:06:30.320,0:06:36.960 This eliminates guesswork and time in proving the  hypothesis. That is what a laboratory procedure 0:06:36.960,0:06:45.760 of deciding a hypothesis right or wrong is. As mentioned in Episode 18, my life has been a 0:06:45.760,0:06:52.880 seesaw between blurred and crystal-clear vision.  Only until I solved the puzzle by discovering 0:06:52.880,0:07:00.000 a concrete physical procedure, though! In retrospect, I feel I was lucky to have 0:07:00.000,0:07:07.360 experienced blurred vision. Why? Because  that was exactly what made me jump into 0:07:07.360,0:07:13.600 this entire discipline of Skeletal Leap. At  the same time, it also provided me with an 0:07:13.600,0:07:21.520 instantaneous testing ground for my skeletal  hypotheses in an absolutely tangible manner. 0:07:21.520,0:07:26.800 But what about those between 0 - 40 years of age  who don’t have any problem with their eyesight 0:07:26.800,0:07:32.000 at present? How can they investigate  the effect of central fixation on the 0:07:32.000,0:07:38.400 clarity of their vision, far and near? Luckily, they can also witness a marked 0:07:38.400,0:07:45.520 enhancement in the clarity of their vision when  they see with central fixation of the eyes. If 0:07:45.520,0:07:54.560 their distant vision is 20/20, central fixation  can enhance it to be something like 30/20. Same 0:07:54.560,0:08:02.800 with the near vision! If the near sight measures  N6, they can easily enhance it to N3 or even more. 0:08:03.920,0:08:09.040 Hence everyone can investigate central  fixation of the eyes successfully, 0:08:09.040,0:08:15.840 regardless of the quality of their vision. I mastered the chakra discipline to understand 0:08:15.840,0:08:24.400 how opening chakras via re-posturing the skeleton  may correct vision. It all amounted to emptying 0:08:24.400,0:08:31.360 the mind through rectifying the neurophysiology of  the visual system to be able to see crystal clear. 0:08:32.080,0:08:38.720 It took place via maneuvering the mandible  which is the only movable bone in the skull. 0:08:38.720,0:08:42.960 The mandible is the jawbone forming  the lower jaw and keeping the lower 0:08:42.960,0:08:51.440 denture in place. It is the biggest and the  strongest bone in the facial skeleton. The 0:08:51.440,0:08:56.960 mandible is connected to the temporal  bones through temporomandibular joints. 0:08:57.760,0:09:04.240 Hence when the mandible is maneuvered,  temporomandibular joints get maneuvered along. 0:09:04.240,0:09:10.800 The said postural maneuver aligns the upper and  the lower dentures in one single plane along their 0:09:10.800,0:09:19.280 entire lengths. It results in opening the third  eye chakra and crown chakra, in one single go, 0:09:19.280,0:09:26.400 by maneuvering the muscles named frontalis,  occipitalis and temporalis in the skull. 0:09:27.760,0:09:32.960 The Muscles Associated with  Temporomandibular Joints 0:09:32.960,0:09:41.120 Now, what are those muscles associated with  temporomandibular joints? I said associated, 0:09:41.120,0:09:49.120 not necessarily attached to the joint! The  muscles directly attached are the agonist or 0:09:49.120,0:09:55.920 the prime movers. But there are many more  in the vicinity that are synergistically 0:09:55.920,0:10:02.640 associated with the same action. They  assist the prime movers by imparting an 0:10:02.640,0:10:10.400 extra punch to the primary action with their  own associated actions. The said actions may 0:10:10.400,0:10:16.720 either be contracting a muscle or relaxing  an already habitually contracted muscle. 0:10:17.280,0:10:24.720 The prime movers are: Temporalis Muscle: elevates and retracts mandible 0:10:24.720,0:10:30.960 Masseter Muscle: elevates and retracts mandible 0:10:30.960,0:10:36.000 Lateral Pterigoid Muscle: depresses mandible 0:10:36.000,0:10:39.600 Medial Pterigoid Muscle: elevates mandible and 0:10:39.600,0:10:44.000 helps lateral pterygoid in  moving jaw from side to side 0:10:44.800,0:10:51.040 Every chakra is a complex of a corrupted  joint and huge numbers of associated muscles, 0:10:51.040,0:10:55.840 nerves and arteries which have all been corrupted. 0:10:55.840,0:11:03.840 That is how a corrupted posture in any part of the  body gives birth to a partially corrupted mind. 0:11:03.840,0:11:09.120 As we know, we open the third eye chakra  and the crown chakra in one single go by 0:11:09.120,0:11:15.360 moving the temporomandibular joints up  and out by maneuvering the mandible. 0:11:15.360,0:11:19.520 This posture ensures the alignment of  the upper and the lower dentures in 0:11:19.520,0:11:27.760 one single plane along their entire lengths. But the entire maneuver is extremely subtle, 0:11:27.760,0:11:34.080 hence quite complex. This is because of an  emergent need to balance the actions of the prime 0:11:34.080,0:11:41.840 movers and other synergetic muscular actions. This and other such maneuvers for various 0:11:41.840,0:11:46.400 other joints along the skeleton are  what the corresponding sets of guided 0:11:46.400,0:11:54.160 meditations are made of. Together, these  guided meditations enable Skeletal Leap. 0:11:54.160,0:11:59.760 A guided meditation under the direct  supervision of an experienced guide is 0:11:59.760,0:12:04.960 the best way to take the Skeletal Leap. And that is how we can partially 0:12:04.960,0:12:11.200 empty the mind and set a specific  physiological system back on track. 0:12:11.200,0:12:16.560 There Are Many Other Systems And  Subsystems Like The Visual Subsystem 0:12:17.280,0:12:22.320 Blurred vision is a perfect example of  a corrupted mind stopping the brain from 0:12:22.320,0:12:30.320 clear visual perception via unblocked nerve  signals. But there is a caveat here. The 0:12:30.320,0:12:37.600 visual system is not the only subsystem of the  nervous system in our total mind-body system. 0:12:37.600,0:12:43.040 There are several similar ones along  with their respective subsystems. 0:12:43.040,0:12:49.520 The visual system that we investigated is a  subsystem of the nervous system. We can certainly 0:12:49.520,0:12:57.920 correct these individual systems or subsystems  locally, but there is again a caveat here. 0:12:57.920,0:13:05.440 Like muscles have their synergetic partners,  chakras do too. And why shouldn’t they? After all, 0:13:05.440,0:13:13.280 they are the result of corrupted skeletal postures  and their associated muscles, nerves and arteries. 0:13:13.280,0:13:20.480 By that token, all 7 chakras are synergetic  partners of one another. Synergetic partners tend 0:13:20.480,0:13:29.120 to amplify whatever the prime mover decides to do. If we decide to open one single chakra, 0:13:29.120,0:13:35.040 all the other 6 would tend to amplify its  action. But that is only possible when those 0:13:35.040,0:13:42.720 6 are already open. Otherwise, they would just  do the opposite in the long run, i.e, negate 0:13:42.720,0:13:50.800 the action taken to open that one single chakra. So, it is never a wise decision to open any of the 0:13:50.800,0:14:00.080 chakras in isolation. Our best bet is to open them  all in one inter-related, chronological sequence. 0:14:00.880,0:14:07.840 We cannot effectively empty a fragment of our  mind and hope that it will continue to remain so. 0:14:07.840,0:14:14.640 Corruptions of the mind from its other fragments  would rush to fill in that empty space later if 0:14:14.640,0:14:23.120 not sooner. How long shall we be able to keep it  protected from its offenders? But if the entire 0:14:23.120,0:14:31.040 mind goes empty in one inter-related chronological  sequence, it would tend to remain empty forever. 0:14:31.040,0:14:36.080 And it is not an impossible  task to empty the mind that way. 0:14:36.080,0:14:41.440 In fact, that is exactly  what leads to Skeletal Leap! 0:14:41.440,0:14:47.280 Thanks for listening to this episode  of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! 0:14:47.280,0:14:52.320 In the next episode, I will tell  you about how lifestyle diseases 0:14:52.320,0:14:57.520 and immune system dysfunction  take a toll on human health. 0:14:57.520,0:15:01.360 Be a part of Skeletal Leap Community! Deepest Mind Secrets: Dark Psychology Facts You Need! Podcast Episode 20

DEEPEST MIND SECRETS: DARK PSYCHOLOGY FACTS YOU NEED! Welcome back to the 20th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! Today’s episode titled “Deepest Mind Secrets: Dark Psychology Facts You Need!” will tell you about physiology vs psychology and brain vs mind. Where is the seat of mind in the body? Have you ever thought about it? Mind is the reviewing faculty of brain. It never views. It only re-views what the brain has already viewed and acted upon. It happens efficiently, provided this reviewing faculty hasn’t negatively affected the spontaneous perception and action taken by the brain. Why is reviewing required? Reviewing is required to give a subjective meaning to the psychedelic perceptions and automatic actions effected by the brain. This subjective meaning imparts life with a sense of individual identity having a free will19 of its own. It makes an individual life a uniquely comprehensible story and thus makes it interesting to this reviewer that the mind is. SKELETAL LEAP, the mind body connection for mind and body healing, is a giant leap that our skeleton [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skeleton] can take through the way it postures its joints. I had stumbled upon this miracle many years ago, coincidentally DEEPEST MIND SECRETS: DARK PSYCHOLOGY FACTS YOU NEED! - SHOW NOTES Welcome back to 20th episode of Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure! In today's episode titled “Deepest Mind Secrets: Dark Psychology Facts You Need!”, I jump into the intriguing comparison of neurology versus psychology, exploring the intricate relationship between the brain and the mind. Have you ever wondered where the seat of the mind within the body is?  I come up with a hypothesis that the mind functions as the reviewing faculty of the brain, engaging in a complex interplay of perceptions and actions.  Discover how the mind reviews experiences to construct a subjective narrative, shaping individual identity and free will. We also examine the concept of contaminated free will, where fear influences the mind's interpretations, leading to a distortion of certain instincts namely sex, curiosity, interaction and adventure.  Learn how societal norms and the superego suppress these instincts, creating a fragmented mind that struggles with internal conflicts. Furthermore, I discuss the implications of emotional constructs and how they can overshadow genuine instincts, leading to a life of mere existence rather than joyful living.  This episode emphasizes the importance of recognizing and nurturing our innate instincts to reclaim our sense of passion and joy. Join me as I navigate through the complexities of human behavior, exploring how our physical postures can influence mental states and vice versa.  This episode is a call to embrace the simplicity of skeletal meditations to restore balance and harmony within our mind body system. Have you ever thought about it? 0:00:07.200,0:00:24.960 Here is a hypothesis. My name is Laadi Ojas. Welcome 0:00:24.960,0:00:34.320 to “Skeletal Leap: A Living Adventure”. Skeletal  Leap transforms one’s life into a personal heaven. 0:00:34.320,0:00:39.680 Today’s episode will tell you about  neurology vs psychology respectively 0:00:39.680,0:00:48.160 addressing brain vs mind or instincts vs  emotions as far as human life is concerned. 0:00:48.160,0:00:51.440 Where is the seat of mind in the body? 0:00:51.440,0:00:57.360 Have you ever thought about it? Here is a hypothesis: 0:00:57.360,0:01:03.920 Mind As The Reviewing Faculty of Brain Mind is the reviewing faculty of brain. 0:01:03.920,0:01:11.680 It never views. It only re-views what the brain  has already viewed and acted upon. It happens 0:01:11.680,0:01:18.320 efficiently, provided this reviewing faculty  hasn’t negatively affected the spontaneous 0:01:18.320,0:01:24.000 perception and action taken by the brain. Why is reviewing required? 0:01:24.880,0:01:30.960 Reviewing is required to give a subjective meaning  to the psychedelic perceptions and automatic 0:01:30.960,0:01:37.680 actions effected by the brain. This subjective  meaning imparts life with a sense of individual 0:01:37.680,0:01:43.040 identity having a free will of its  own. It makes an individual life a 0:01:43.040,0:01:51.520 uniquely comprehensible story and thus makes it  interesting to this reviewer that the mind is. 0:01:51.520,0:01:59.840 The Contaminated Free Will As Ego There is a serious caveat here. The reviewer, 0:01:59.840,0:02:06.720 that’s the mind, finds it so interesting that  it holds this comprehension as being the real 0:02:06.720,0:02:13.920 perception and real action. The mind decides to  exercise its free will which ultimately turns into 0:02:13.920,0:02:23.040 ego that it then starts identifying itself with. Even this wouldn’t have been much of a problem, 0:02:23.040,0:02:29.920 had this free will not been contaminated.  Most often, it gets contaminated by an element 0:02:29.920,0:02:36.640 of fear that stems from an overrated  core of life preservative instincts. 0:02:36.640,0:02:43.760 Life begins with an innate fear of losing itself. It is this fear that is at the root of 0:02:43.760,0:02:51.680 contaminating this free will, thereby reducing it  to what Richard Dawkins calls the ‘selfish gene’. 0:02:51.680,0:02:55.600 It gets subjectively attached to  its own faulty apprehensions of 0:02:55.600,0:03:02.160 what constitutes a threat to life. This fear is a reaction to something 0:03:02.160,0:03:08.880 that is not a real danger and the brain may not  even perceive it as a real threat. It is rather a 0:03:08.880,0:03:16.800 conceived threat that the contaminated free will  of the reviewer attaches to its comprehension. 0:03:16.800,0:03:22.240 The contaminated free will is not as  intelligent as the spontaneous brain. 0:03:22.240,0:03:28.000 Along with the instinct of self preservation,  the brain also hands a complete list of other 0:03:28.000,0:03:35.600 instincts over to the reviewer. Instincts That We Are Born With 0:03:35.600,0:03:41.200 This is done so that the mind can  review, cognize and comprehend those 0:03:41.200,0:03:50.160 instincts as the basic tenets of life, like: Eating | Drinking | Excreting | Curiosity | 0:03:50.160,0:03:59.040 Movement | Play | Adventure | Interaction |  Love | Grouping | Sex | Reproduction | Parenting 0:03:59.760,0:04:05.120 All these different instincts need to  be given overall inclusive emphases in 0:04:05.120,0:04:11.040 an equally exclusive manner. None less, none more! 0:04:11.040,0:04:17.520 But as we saw, the reviewer gets subjectively  attached to its faulty apprehensions of threat 0:04:17.520,0:04:26.000 to life. It does so at the cost of ignoring, and  at times, even suppressing a few other instincts. 0:04:26.800,0:04:32.400 The main victims to this fear of the  mind are the instincts of sex, adventure, 0:04:32.400,0:04:38.800 curiosity and interaction. It apprehends  them as challenging self preservation. 0:04:38.800,0:04:47.280 Sex is such a strong instinct as can make one  even ignore one’s safety and security. In fact, 0:04:47.280,0:04:54.400 sex falls under the category of death instincts  as opposed to the instincts of self preservation. 0:04:55.200,0:05:02.240 This categorization of mine is in contrast with  the categorization conceived by Sigmund Freud as 0:05:02.240,0:05:09.680 life instincts and destructive death drives  (Thanatos), as opposed to death instincts. 0:05:09.680,0:05:16.400 In fact, he had earlier started working along  the idea of death instincts before he moved on 0:05:16.400,0:05:24.320 to conceptualize death drives or Thanatos. And at that time, he had categorized 0:05:24.320,0:05:32.480 sex as one of the prime death instincts. These were conceived as death instincts since they 0:05:32.480,0:05:39.280 tended to do away with ego which overemphasized  instincts supporting self-preservation. 0:05:39.280,0:05:47.680 As per this initial concept, mind - as ego -  apprehends these death instincts as capable of 0:05:47.680,0:05:55.200 killing its hegemonic existence. Obviously, it  would never be ready to welcome or even accept 0:05:55.200,0:06:03.360 them. And even when it does so, it does so  in a very lukewarm and half-hearted way. 0:06:03.360,0:06:10.000 I find this earlier concept of Freud’s  more meaningful than his later concepts. 0:06:10.000,0:06:15.520 Hence I have developed my concepts  along his earlier line of thought. 0:06:15.520,0:06:22.080 Here is a quote from Life and Death  Drive; Freud’s Thanatos and Eros Theory: 0:06:22.080,0:06:29.280 Sigmund Freud’s theory of life and death drives  evolved throughout his life and career. Initially, 0:06:29.280,0:06:36.480 he described a class of drives known as life  instincts that he believed were responsible 0:06:36.480,0:06:44.720 for much of our behavior. Eventually, however,  Freud came to believe that life instincts alone 0:06:44.720,0:06:50.400 could not explain all human behavior. With the  publication of his book ‘Beyond the Pleasure 0:06:50.400,0:06:59.920 Principle‘ in 1920, Freud concluded that all  instincts fall into one of two major classes: 0:06:59.920,0:07:08.320 life drives and death drives—later dubbed  Eros and Thanatos by other psychologists. 0:07:08.320,0:07:14.560 As a result, human culture and  society tag sex as the basic sin, 0:07:14.560,0:07:22.080 acting from that fearful mind’s apprehensions. The same is true of the passion and joy of 0:07:22.080,0:07:29.760 adventure. Adventure is an instinctual drive  to jump into an experience that is unknown. 0:07:29.760,0:07:37.040 The more the passion, the less one is susceptible  to get tamed. You can tame a bullock but never a 0:07:37.040,0:07:45.440 bull. Human culture and society, constructed over  the most basic foundations of fear, needed to 0:07:45.440,0:07:52.960 tame their individuals. If they don’t get tamed,  they may jump into life-threatening adventures 0:07:52.960,0:08:01.040 out of passion. Adventure and safety are two  diametrically opposite things. In fact, passion 0:08:01.040,0:08:08.800 and joy are the hallmark of all death instincts,  sex and adventure being the most magnetic among 0:08:08.800,0:08:17.840 those. That is how and why passion and joy  are closely associated with sex and adventure. 0:08:17.840,0:08:24.960 Curiosity is something that questions culture and  society’s training programs designed to provide 0:08:24.960,0:08:30.560 their individuals with safety and security,  even at the cost of turning them into cogs of 0:08:30.560,0:08:39.040 ever turning wheels. The human education system  is the worst example of this where students must 0:08:39.040,0:08:46.960 follow a regimen rather than satiate their  curiosity. Regimen insures what students must 0:08:46.960,0:08:54.960 know in order to safeguard their future. On the  other hand, curiosity flows like water toward 0:08:54.960,0:09:04.080 unknown horizons, rewarding one with insights.  That is when one turns truly intelligent. Mind 0:09:04.080,0:09:11.360 prefers knowledge to intelligence. But  knowledge without intelligence and insight 0:09:11.360,0:09:18.320 amounts to nothing more than stupidity  and nothing less than insensitivity. 0:09:18.320,0:09:23.120 Interaction is another victim to  the hegemony of self-preservation. 0:09:23.120,0:09:30.240 The more one interacts with strangers or unknown  situations, the more one exposes oneself to the 0:09:30.240,0:09:39.280 risk of getting harmed. This apprehended risk gets  generated out of the fear of the unknown. Hence 0:09:39.280,0:09:46.720 human culture and society prefer regimented  relationship to spontaneous interaction. 0:09:46.720,0:09:55.680 Relationship is conditioned, with set protocols  to follow, turning it mechanical and dull sooner 0:09:55.680,0:10:02.160 than later. Interaction is unconditional,  creating its own unique designs every time 0:10:02.160,0:10:09.920 one has it afresh, turning it aesthetically  much more creative. Relationship is safe, 0:10:09.920,0:10:17.920 interaction is risky. Relationship is swimming  in a pond, interaction is swimming in an ocean. 0:10:18.560,0:10:23.600 Hence, human culture and society are  structured on the foundation of curbing 0:10:23.600,0:10:32.560 these instincts either overtly or covertly. This is why I place these four instincts of sex, 0:10:32.560,0:10:40.160 adventure, curiosity and interaction under the  category of death instincts. These are the very 0:10:40.160,0:10:48.160 instincts that tend to kill ego in the mind. That  is why and how they appear to be death instincts 0:10:48.160,0:10:55.680 to the mind, in the first place. Super-ego Comprising Morals 0:10:55.680,0:11:03.120 When these instincts are suppressed, their energy  gets suppressed as well. Mind has a powerful tool 0:11:03.120,0:11:10.640 to do so. The super-ego! This super-ego  is a new faculty that the mind generates, 0:11:10.640,0:11:19.360 comprising morals that ought to be respected. If  not, another new entity we call guilt coaxes it. 0:11:19.360,0:11:27.760 Surprisingly, guilt steals its energy from the  energy of fear. The mind, through super-ego, 0:11:27.760,0:11:34.720 has thus created these two entities,  fear and guilt, that are forms of another 0:11:34.720,0:11:43.600 faculty that the mind generates – emotion. What happens when energy is suppressed? And, 0:11:43.600,0:11:50.560 not only suppressed but also repressed at times.  Repression means pushing the consciousness of 0:11:50.560,0:11:58.240 its suppression to the unconscious mind so  that it just forgets everything about it. 0:11:58.240,0:12:04.240 But the repressed energetic content of instincts  still keeps knocking on the doors of the conscious 0:12:04.240,0:12:12.240 mind. And whenever it finds an opportunity,  it pushes them. Soon, it enters consciousness 0:12:12.240,0:12:19.440 stealthily when the guards sitting at the doors  are snoozing. That is what our dreams are. 0:12:20.160,0:12:26.320 Not only this, even during their exile in  the unconscious, these repressed instincts 0:12:26.320,0:12:32.800 don’t become fully inactive. They retain their  capacity to affect the decisions taken by the 0:12:32.800,0:12:40.400 unconscious mind against its conscious reasoning. Now, let’s get back to the question: what happens 0:12:40.400,0:12:47.920 when energy is suppressed or repressed? The content and energy of said suppressed 0:12:47.920,0:12:55.440 and repressed instincts gets downgraded. A few  different morals are constructed to achieve this. 0:12:55.440,0:13:03.040 Piety downgrades the powerful instinct of sex.  Mind understands how powerful and inevitable 0:13:03.040,0:13:12.320 sex is. Hence it creates another sub-moral of  piety called marriage as a spiritual union. 0:13:12.320,0:13:17.680 It is designed to be a monogamic sexual  relationship between one man and one 0:13:17.680,0:13:24.640 woman for the rest of their lives. Humans are not  designed to have their quota of sex rationed like 0:13:24.640,0:13:34.000 this. But under the respectable pressure of piety,  they accept it at the conscious level. However, 0:13:34.000,0:13:40.480 their unconscious mind always keeps attracting  them to others outside their marriage. 0:13:41.040,0:13:46.560 It is not only about getting attracted but  also about having sex with them mentally, 0:13:46.560,0:13:54.000 if not physically…and stealthily. Thus,  we see another example in which the mind 0:13:54.000,0:14:02.000 has transformed an instinct – sex  – into an emotion – sexual desire. 0:14:02.000,0:14:07.520 The Fragmented Mind Mind fragments itself in many parts, 0:14:07.520,0:14:13.760 all fighting with one another all day. This  infighting continually tires ‘us’ even when 0:14:13.760,0:14:20.480 ‘we’ haven’t done that much work to justify ‘our’  tiredness. We never get as tired when we enjoy 0:14:20.480,0:14:29.520 doing something as we do when we don’t enjoy it.  In fact, we almost don’t get tired while enjoying, 0:14:29.520,0:14:35.680 even while doing the toughest of jobs. The mind constructs quite a few other 0:14:35.680,0:14:42.560 morals to covertly downgrade the content  and energy of other death instincts as well. 0:14:42.560,0:14:50.160 It does so to curiosity and its questioning  attitude through morals such as obedience, 0:14:50.160,0:14:58.080 faith, reverence, loyalty or devotion in  order to avoid questioning the authority. 0:14:58.800,0:15:04.640 Real Passion Turns to  Distorted Conceptual Emotions 0:15:04.640,0:15:10.560 Let’s get back to passion and joy that are the  hallmarks of death instincts. What happens to 0:15:10.560,0:15:20.240 this passion and joy when the instincts turn into  emotions? At worst, passion gets distorted and joy 0:15:20.240,0:15:28.160 loses its smoothness to the harshness of said  emotions. At best, instinctual joy turns into 0:15:28.160,0:15:35.520 the ‘idea’ of joy which we call happiness. Happiness needs to be defined as waiting 0:15:35.520,0:15:43.280 with hope to experience joy at some point in the  future. When we are actually enjoying something, 0:15:43.280,0:15:49.280 we don’t need to be ‘happy’ as we are simply  enjoying it right then and there. We can 0:15:49.280,0:15:56.240 experience joy while being sad as well. Like,  our skin will always enjoy the touch of winter 0:15:56.240,0:16:02.960 sun even if we are grieving. Ironically, unlike passion, 0:16:02.960,0:16:11.200 emotions always exist as pairs of opposites: Happiness - Sadness | Bravery - Cowardice | 0:16:11.200,0:16:19.120 Courage - Timidity | Confidence - Diffidence  | Hope - Despair | Excitement - Boredom | 0:16:19.120,0:16:30.400 Attachment - Detachment | Anger - Guilt | Pride  * Shame | Anxiety - Depression | Fear - Greed 0:16:30.400,0:16:37.360 One might wonder how fear and greed are  opposite emotions. Isn’t it the fear 0:16:37.360,0:16:44.560 of losing that turns us greedy to hoard,  to insure us against loss? Isn’t seeking 0:16:44.560,0:16:50.320 immortality, for example, the greedy  antithesis of the fear of losing life? 0:16:51.120,0:16:56.320 Positive psychology tends to categorize  emotions as positive and negative, 0:16:56.320,0:17:02.720 always siding with the positive ones. But these  are the two sides of the same coin. In fact, 0:17:02.720,0:17:09.440 the negative ones are more basic, born out  of the frustration of passion. Their positive 0:17:09.440,0:17:17.120 counterparts are just feel-good facades that  we wear so as not to get intimidated by them. 0:17:17.840,0:17:23.440 Let me give another example here. Psychology  tells us to be confident instead of being 0:17:23.440,0:17:31.360 diffident. I agree that being diffident harms  us. But how does being confident help us? Let’s 0:17:31.360,0:17:37.840 take a hypothetical example. Suppose you and  I are to arrive at an interview for the same 0:17:37.840,0:17:45.200 job. And both of us are equally confident. So  our confidence is not going to help us at all, 0:17:45.200,0:17:51.360 simply because one of us is bound to lose.  And even if both of us are diffident, 0:17:51.360,0:17:59.440 one of us is bound to win. So this advice of  being confident is not really a fool-proof one. 0:17:59.440,0:18:03.920 We need to be confident only  because we are basically diffident. 0:18:03.920,0:18:11.280 Isn’t it a better thing to be neither and just be  natural, ready to face what naturally comes to us? 0:18:12.480,0:18:17.520 That is why all emotions are  futile. They are not natural. 0:18:17.520,0:18:23.040 They are the constructs of ideas  and not the realities behind them. 0:18:23.040,0:18:31.920 Satiating real instincts generates passion and joy  instead of emotions like excitement and happiness. 0:18:31.920,0:18:37.360 Happiness as an emotion plays with  the idea of joy rather than real joy, 0:18:37.360,0:18:45.040 which only passion can generate. Being happy for  the next moment instead of enjoying this very one 0:18:45.040,0:18:52.480 is like masturbating instead of having real sex. Everyone always feels like they are missing 0:18:52.480,0:19:00.400 something in life but no one knows what! What we all are missing is joy right now, 0:19:00.400,0:19:09.120 which only passion can generate, not any emotions. Psychology has made the mind an unnaturally 0:19:09.120,0:19:16.640 complex pattern making it seem much bigger  than what it really is - a reviewer. And thus, 0:19:16.640,0:19:22.400 the mind ends up negatively affecting the  brain’s physiology through its nervous system 0:19:22.400,0:19:28.320 across the entire body. Let’s see exactly how. 0:19:28.320,0:19:34.080 How Emotions Affect The Body The mind, in its evolution along 0:19:34.080,0:19:40.960 human culture and human society, has fragmented  itself into many parts. These fragmented parts 0:19:40.960,0:19:46.800 are always in a state of war with one another.  The result is that they keep wasting their 0:19:46.800,0:19:55.520 energy. As a further result, the organism  is thrown into a state that lacks energy. 0:19:55.520,0:20:02.880 Anatomically, this mind-induced state of low  energy shows up as a habitually unnatural 0:20:02.880,0:20:13.040 posture of the skeleton, especially at its joints.  Every single one of the skeleton’s 360 joints ends 0:20:13.040,0:20:22.320 up tucking ‘in’. Gravity plays its own part in  this process by dropping those joints ‘down’. 0:20:22.320,0:20:29.360 Interestingly, in army training throughout the  world, they exacerbate this problem further. They 0:20:29.360,0:20:36.320 train soldiers in tucking the shoulders ‘out’,  thereby taking the effect of the mind out of the 0:20:36.320,0:20:44.160 picture, while leaving them still drooping down.  This leaves the soldiers aggressively violent 0:20:44.160,0:20:51.600 rather than passively timid; a connection no  one else seems to have analyzed yet. But it 0:20:51.600,0:20:55.680 has been serving their purpose of turning  their soldiers ‘brave’ and they are happy 0:20:55.680,0:21:02.800 with it. This gets further worsened by the  muscles in their vicinity getting rigidified 0:21:02.800,0:21:09.440 and thus changing their habitual anatomy.  The same follows for the nerves and blood 0:21:09.440,0:21:16.240 vessels attached to the joints in question. And this is what gives birth to those infamous 0:21:16.240,0:21:21.840 closed chakras - or as I call them,  just chakras - all along the length 0:21:21.840,0:21:29.360 of the spinal cord. If we look at it from a  neurological perspective, it stops the vagus 0:21:29.360,0:21:35.840 nerve from carrying signals effectively.  They block the dialogue between the gut and 0:21:35.840,0:21:42.560 the brain much needed to keep the nervous system  functioning properly, materialistically speaking. 0:21:43.440,0:21:50.400 From a vitalistic point of view, this results  in Kundalini being blocked in its flow between 0:21:50.400,0:21:57.920 the root and the crown chakras via Sushumna. Maybe the two approaches are ways of looking into 0:21:57.920,0:22:04.480 the same reality from two different angles! Time will tell. 0:22:04.480,0:22:10.320 Regardless, the deformed psychology of the mental  structure affects the physiology of the human 0:22:10.320,0:22:17.280 body negatively. It compromises the capacity of  the tenth cranial nerve to carry signals, i.e., 0:22:17.280,0:22:24.000 Kundalini flowing smooth, in an uninhibited  manner. The result is a neurophysiologically 0:22:24.000,0:22:30.480 compromised nervous system of which the  brain is the most central organ. That is 0:22:30.480,0:22:38.400 how a compromised mind compromises the brain  as well. The brain loses its spontaneity to 0:22:38.400,0:22:44.960 think in the moment as the mind pushes  it toward past and future thoughts. 0:22:44.960,0:22:48.640 What’s the way out? Either we change the 0:22:48.640,0:22:54.800 psychology of mind or the physiology of  body to put it back on the right track. 0:22:54.800,0:22:59.040 If the mind can affect the body  negatively, the body can affect the 0:22:59.040,0:23:06.960 mind as well and positively, at that. How Body Can Affect The Mind 0:23:06.960,0:23:14.000 Changing the psychology of the mind is an uphill  task, mainly because it is vague. It very easily 0:23:14.000,0:23:21.040 makes us stray along its functional complexities  without even giving any feedback. Thus, it keeps 0:23:21.040,0:23:28.800 us guessing blindly if we are on the right track. The probability of being right is way less than 0:23:28.800,0:23:34.960 being wrong. It is because there are many  wrong but only one right way and we are 0:23:34.960,0:23:41.520 trying to hit the bullseye blindfolded. On the other hand, let’s look at a 0:23:41.520,0:23:48.240 miraculous physical activity that changes  the psychology of the mind instantaneously. 0:23:48.240,0:23:55.520 Skydiving, apart from being an awesome sport, is  also an awesome physiological meditation. Under 0:23:55.520,0:24:02.240 conditions of free fall, people tend to stop  breathing. They CAN breathe although they don’t 0:24:02.240,0:24:09.120 need to. Whatever little oxygen they require is  absorbed by their skin through osmosis in their 0:24:09.120,0:24:16.560 system. Its only limitation is that it is there  only for the duration of 6-7 minutes it takes 0:24:16.560,0:24:24.800 to touch the ground. As this intense experience  instantly changes the body’s physiology, it also 0:24:24.800,0:24:30.640 instantly changes the mind’s psychology. Here is a firsthand account of a 0:24:30.640,0:24:35.680 first-time skydiver: I was OUT…everything 0:24:35.680,0:24:46.000 mentally ended…over…started…me…perhaps more dead  than alive…perhaps more alive than I will ever 0:24:47.120,0:24:55.920 be…breathing just as I had been taught…wind…wind  and breath…until wind and breath became 0:24:55.920,0:25:05.120 indiscernible, became as one…and yes, almost  weightless…it was true! …weightless and so 0:25:05.120,0:25:15.200 surreal…there was the earth, neither coming  at me, nor me at it, …no up…no down…no me, 0:25:15.200,0:25:23.520 in the ego sense of me, just some thoughtless  consciousness…and yes, it was awesome simply to 0:25:23.520,0:25:33.440 be…or not. The sky was in my lungs and it never  once occurred to me would the parachute open. 0:25:33.440,0:25:40.160 Sounds like the skydiver is describing an  out-of-body experience instead of a free fall! 0:25:40.160,0:25:46.160 We may be moved to think it was actually  so if not for the references to wind, 0:25:46.160,0:25:53.200 earth and the parachute. Swiss scientists have  recently discovered something. They sent a very 0:25:53.200,0:25:59.600 weak current to the back, right part of the  brain. It triggered an out-of-body experience 0:25:59.600,0:26:06.960 for the patient. This out-of-body experience is  also associated with the sensation of levitation. 0:26:06.960,0:26:13.440 They found that it could be recreated at will  whenever a particular part of the brain was 0:26:13.440,0:26:20.880 stimulated by an electric current. Scientists  also say that a human body has a naturally weak 0:26:20.880,0:26:28.720 electric field. Its disruption causes disease.  Therefore, drugs are being designed to restore 0:26:28.720,0:26:35.440 this weak field. But the exact nature of  this field is not yet fully understood. 0:26:35.440,0:26:41.280 In the process of changing its psychology,  the mind needs to empty itself of all its 0:26:41.280,0:26:48.480 beliefs, including morals and emotions. It needs to be kept limited to reviewing 0:26:48.480,0:26:55.120 and comprehending what the brain supplies  it with, i.e., instincts. In other words, 0:26:55.120,0:27:03.360 it needs to turn truly agnostic. It is not easy.  It scares the mind to death, quite literally. 0:27:03.920,0:27:11.760 The mind really considers it as its death.  That is why it stealthily keeps turning all 0:27:11.760,0:27:21.280 meditations into new visualizations, imaginations  and beliefs instead of the old ones. It sheds old 0:27:21.280,0:27:29.840 beliefs and embraces new ones like old wine in a  new bottle. And it does so just in order not to 0:27:29.840,0:27:36.640 get caught for trying to keep its death away. That is why and how mental and spiritual 0:27:36.640,0:27:43.600 meditations, at times, get reduced  to performing pious rituals alone. 0:27:43.600,0:27:50.480 Skeletal Meditations Are Meditations of  Body As Opposed to Meditations of Mind 0:27:50.480,0:27:58.960 The ways of the body are concrete, however subtle  they may be. We can always put a finger on them, 0:27:58.960,0:28:06.320 sometimes quite literally, guiding them  back on the track, as and when required. 0:28:06.320,0:28:10.080 We don’t need to go for  rituals of limited durations. 0:28:10.080,0:28:16.560 We need to learn and be in the right  meditative state 24 x 7 x 365. And we 0:28:16.560,0:28:21.760 need to do so in order to make it the  first nature of our mind-body system. 0:28:22.560,0:28:28.480 It is much easier to do it with the body than  the mind. This way, every single moment can 0:28:28.480,0:28:35.040 be the moment of meditation without the need  to celebrate it as some kind of achievement. 0:28:35.040,0:28:41.520 Skeletal meditations work physiologically, aiming  to turn the anatomy and physiology of the body 0:28:41.520,0:28:48.720 and the brain back to their natural functions.  They’re meant to stay that way consciously 24 x 7 0:28:48.720,0:28:56.320 x 365 until they become one’s first nature. This can only happen when the mind has shed 0:28:56.320,0:29:02.160 all the psychological myths it had been living  with all through one’s life. It needs to accept 0:29:02.160,0:29:10.400 the brain as its guide in its only role as  reviewer and comprehender of its perceptions. 0:29:10.400,0:29:17.440 Being tangible, skeletal meditations are much  faster and simpler than mental or spiritual 0:29:17.440,0:29:24.560 meditations. We just need to understand how  to rightly posture our skeletal joints and 0:29:24.560,0:29:30.480 then make it our first nature. Once this is successfully done, 0:29:30.480,0:29:35.360 Skeletal Leap is in place.
