The story is portrayed in an original and creative way that has not been attempted before. From the opening scene you are immersed in 3 separate timelines that, when meshed together, give a picturesque telling of the collaborative efforts needed to overcome the German forces. Rather than focusing on character development, Nolan uses quick edits and edge of your seat intensity to depict a battle that would not have been won had one of the depicted timelines not done what they did.
