Just a quickie this week as we are on Sammie’s hen do! The energy is high this week after a bit of a bleak subject last week, so we are sharing the journaling prompts from the Barre on the Beach and we’d love you to take a moment, grab a pen and paper, and get writing: What can I thank my body for today? What stories, criticisms, or expectations about my body/myself am I ready to leave behind this summer? If I treated my body like someone I deeply loved and respected maybe think about your best friend or someone you love, what would I do differently this summer? If I allowed myself to dream without limits, what am I calling in for the next chapter of my life? Reflection: What would change in my life if I stopped waiting to feel ‘good enough’ and started fully living now? Let’s bring this positive energy into this week! We’re recording in the heatwave and it is disgusting! We recorded over zoom so there are a couple of sound issues but bear with us! There’s a bit of political discussion, and with it still being that time of the month for Mimi, there’s a little anger there. And with this anger comes more anger at relying too much on our phones and social media for background noise. Instagram can be totally overwhelming, and full of information that can upset you, make you feel bad, or make you envious of other people’s lives. Or their portrayal of a life that might not be true. It is ok to stay in a happy bubble, and keep yourself safe. The most important thing for YOU is keeping you safe, and if you’re getting overwhelmed or spiralling, remember the power of the pause. We promise next week’s episode is a lot brighter. Lots of love!
