Season Finale: Reefer Madness with The Cinemaniacs

Well, we did it, we remembered to end the season. HA! Listen, it's not easy doing podcasts with pottyheads, but we made it through. This episode is about the classic (interpretive) piece of propogandic film Reefer Madness. Made in the 1930's as a warning to America's youth at the *supposed* dangers of marijuana. It has it all...as Stefon would say-intrigue, abuse, murder, self-un-aliving, and just a slew of fake scenarios that the men of the mid-30's were trying to "Tell the Children" to be aware of. Coming out of the "Roaring 20's", America was having a shifting moment into absolute zzzzzzzzz snoozefest. Listen to us talk about the film and analyze the message and perception. Special Guest Episode: KannaMatch

This was such a fun episode and something a little different than what we normally do! So if you've been paying attention then you would know that season 7 has been the Cannabis inspired season-from tv shows, movies, documentaries and now everything in between. If you've been paying close attention then you would know that Catt is a buddytender at a local dispensary in the Reno/Sparks area. Her boss, co-worker/friend has created an amazing app for the cannabis community called KannaMatch. Jakob-the creator joins us on the episode along with another co-worker/friend Cam, who has been helping Jakob get the app live. High Maintenance Part Deux: The HBO series

We are back with the continuation of High Maintenance the HBO series. As before we loove this series, it's just a slice of life, human experience, and we were very satisfied with it. As per usual there will be SPOILERS for this show and otherr shows and books that we are watching and discussing. Next week we will be back with a very special guest and episode. High Maintenance Web Series

Given the unfortunate lack of weed media we are choosing to do High Maintenance in 2 parts; the webseries and the tv show on HBO. Both are magic and deserve their own time, but we also needed to take up some space on the episodes. This show has definitley stood out for both of us among the stereotypical weed media floating around, it was such a vibe. The episodes are short, sweet and packed full of human experiences that The Guy meets from selling weed in NYC. We fully recommend watching this show before you listen but the spoilers are minimal.
