A Chemical Betrayal: Marie Robards Poisoned Her Father for a Fresh Start

Marie Robards was a teenage girl dealing with family tension and feeling trapped. After learning her mother was staying with her unfaithful stepdad and being sent to live with her biological father, Marie planned to escape this ordeal by poisoning him. She stole barium acetate from her chemistry class and mixed it into her dad's dinner to get her freedom back. He dies in agony, and in his funeral, Marie learns that her mom was planning to leave her stepdad anyway. Meaning she would have been free even if she didn't kill him. Months later, she confided in a friend who eventually went to the police. Marie Robards was sentenced to 27 years for killing her father but was released on parole after just 10 years. She disappeared from the public eye, believed to be living under a new identity. Do you think she deserved more time, or was her early release justified?  Get all the crime in half the time! 10-Year-Old Gets Crushed to Death After His 340-Pound Foster Mom Sits on Him For "Acting Up"

10-year-old Dakota Stevens tragically died after his 340-pound foster mother, Jennifer Wilson, sat on him for five minutes. Dakota had run to a neighbor’s house seeking help after alleged abuse. Instead of helping, Wilson dragged him back and sat on his head and neck, ignoring his desperate cries for air. Ring camera footage showed the chilling moment, with Dakota's screams fading until he stopped moving. Wilson didn’t realize something was wrong until it was too late. Dakota was placed on life support but died two days later from mechanical asphyxia. Wilson was sentenced to six years for reckless homicide, with one year suspended to be served on probation. Is six years enough for this tragedy? Get all the crime in half the time! A Conviction in Doubt: Was the Nation's Oldest Cold Case Really Ever Solved?

Maria Ridulph was a young girl out enjoying the winter with a friend when she suddenly disappeared. On December 3, 1957, Maria was last seen playing near her home in Sycamore, Illinois, when a man offered her a ride. She never returned. Years passed, and her case went cold until 1994 when new leads emerged. John Tessier, aka Jack McCullough, a man with ties to the area, was arrested after DNA evidence and new testimonies pointed to him. He had been living under a different name for years, hiding his dark secret. McCullough was convicted in 2012 for the abduction and murder of Maria Ridulph. He was sentenced to life in prison. But in 2021, his conviction was overturned, leaving many questioning if the right man was convicted. Do you think John Tessier (aka Jack McCullough) was guilty, or was the wrong man locked up for decades? Get all the crime in half the time! Man Found Suffocated With His Head Wrapped in Plastic as BDSM Session Goes Wrong

In April 2023, 56-year-old Michael Dale paid over $11,000 to spend the night with OnlyFans model Michaela Rylaarsdam. Hours later, he was found with his entire head wrapped in plastic and duct tape, and women’s shoes glued to his feet. Michaela told police it was consensual BDSM gone wrong. But investigators found videos on her phone showing Dale struggling to breathe—footage she allegedly recorded for her subscribers. She was charged with murder in 2025. Prosecutors say he was too drunk to consent. Her team says it was a tragic accident. What do you think—murder, or a fatal mistake? Get all the crime in half the time! Her Kidnappers Sent Anabel Segura’s Family on a Cruel Wild-Goose Chase

In 1993, 22-year-old Anabel Segura was kidnapped while jogging in Madrid's La Moraleja neighborhood. Her family and the police spent almost three years looking for her after her kidnappers made them believe she was still alive.  A clue in a ransom tape led the police to identify and arrest the kidnappers after realizing Anabel was long gone. The kidnappers were sentenced to lengthy prison terms, but only served a fraction of their sentences before being released. Anabel’s story left a lasting impact, and her legacy continues to be honored in Madrid with a cultural center named after her.  What do you think about her killers being allowed to walk free?
