18. 5 Things No One Tells You About Having a Faith Crisis

Going through a faith crisis was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. I didn't know who I was anymore, I questioned everything, I didn't know what I believed anymore, I felt angry, confused, and defeated. They were the longest 4 months of my life. By sharing my experience I hope it lets others know they aren't alone if they have gone through this as well. I hope it also helps someone who will go through a faith crisis in the future. My hope is that we can just come together as humans by listening to each other, learning, and trying to make the world a better place whether we have left a religion, stay, join another, or if organized religion isn't for you. We all struggle and we need each other as we navigate life and need to see past our differences. I can't wait for you to tune in and I hope you leave with some good takeaways. ***Trigger warning- ED*** I promised a few months ago I would deep dive into my binge eating disorder and after putting off recording it for so long, I finally did it.  This was a hard episode to record. Nobody wants to admit the fact that food has control over them and inhibits their daily lives. It's such a vulnerable thing and I hope by sharing my story it'll help at least one person struggling with an eating disorder to get help.  I also hope this episode just helps open up the conversation around how common it is to not have a healthy relationship with food. Always remember my DMs are open if you want to continue the conversation or confide in someone with your struggle.
