Episode 12 | THE ANCHOR | FREEDOM What Does God Say About Freedom? What does freedom really mean? Our culture often defines freedom as independence—living without boundaries, authority, or accountability. But Scripture offers a very different picture. In this first episode of our July series, The Anchor | Freedom, we begin where we always begin: What does God say? Through Romans 3 and Romans 6, we’ll discover that true freedom isn’t something we create or earn. It is something Jesus purchased through His death and resurrection. In this episode, we’ll explore:  • Why every person needs freedom  • Why freedom begins with God’s grace  • What Christ has set us free from  • What He has set us free for  • Why sin no longer has authority over the believer  • The difference between worldly freedom and biblical freedom  • How surrender to Christ leads to the deepest freedom we can experience If you’ve ever struggled with shame, fear, guilt, comparison, bitterness, old habits, or believing your past still defines you, this episode is a reminder that Jesus offers something greater than behavior modification—He offers a new identity. BONUS EPISODE | A Guided Sabbath for the Weary Soul

To end our Anchor Word study on REST, it felt only appropriate to use this extra Tuesday to create a little something special.  This bonus episode- A Guided Sabbath for the Weary Soul-is meant to sit with you while you create space for REST with your creator.  You may be sitting quietly with a cup of coffee. You may be taking a slow walk outdoors. You may be driving home after a long day. You may be lying in bed, preparing to sleep. Or perhaps you’re simply carrying more worry, stress, or mental noise than you were meant to carry alone. This episode leaves you with nothing you need to accomplish. There are no notes to take. No lessons to remember. No tasks to complete. Its purpose is simple: to create space for you to be with God. As you listen, allow the words of Scripture, prayer, and reflection to slow your breathing, quiet your thoughts, and gently turn your attention toward the presence of Christ. My prayer is that you will save this episode and return to it often. Come back when your soul feels weary. Come back when anxiety feels loud. Come back when your thoughts are racing, when sleep feels difficult, or when you simply need a few moments to remember what is true.  Sometimes we need to hear the same promises of God again and again until they settle deeply into our hearts and become a part of who we are.  For the next few moments, let yourself rest. Episode 11 | The Becoming Lens: REST Who Am I Becoming As I Learn to Rest in Him? As we conclude our June Anchor Word, REST, we arrive at the final lens of The Anchor Method: The Becoming Lens. Throughout this month, we’ve explored what God says about rest, why rest can feel so difficult, and how our rest affects the people around us. But today we ask the final question: Who am I becoming as I learn to rest in Him? In Mark 4:35–41, Jesus sleeps peacefully through a violent storm while His disciples panic around Him. Through this powerful passage, we discover that biblical rest is not the absence of trouble—it is the presence of God in the middle of it. Together we’ll explore: • Why storms reveal what we truly trust  • The connection between fear, control, and self-reliance  • Why peace is not found in changed circumstances  • What it means to abide instead of strive  • Simple daily, weekly, and evening rhythms that help cultivate a restful soul God is not simply teaching us how to rest. He is teaching us how to trust. And through that process, He is forming us into women who are more surrendered, more grounded, more peaceful, and more like Jesus. But somewhere along the way, her distraction became frustration, and her striving began affecting her relationships. Together, we’ll discover how rest changes the way we show up, creates space for genuine presence, and transforms the way we love. Why Is It So Hard for Me to Rest? Anchor Scripture: John 6:35 Many of us are tired—but not just physically tired. Soul tired. The kind of tired that follows us into our vacations, our weekends, our accomplishments, and even our quiet moments. In this week’s Mirror Lens of our June Anchor Word, REST, we’re asking a deeper question: What if the issue isn’t that we’re too busy? What if we’re restless? Using Jesus’ invitation in John 6:35, we’ll explore how a restless soul is often a hungry soul and a thirsty soul—searching for significance, security, peace, and worth in places that were never designed to satisfy us. Together we’ll reflect on three powerful questions:  • What am I hungry for?  • What am I thirsty for?  • What am I feeding my soul? We’ll also explore why rest feels so vulnerable, why surrender is often harder than striving, and how God’s Word reveals what we’ve truly been trusting.
