Beskrivelse

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1931781/fan_mail/new] In this episode, we unpack our experiences growing up in Christian schools, attending church, and being immersed in Christian culture from an early age. We talk about the expectations placed on us, the messages we received about mistakes and failure, and what happens when questions aren't welcomed. We also discuss deconstructing religion, navigating faith as adults, Christian music, church culture, and why so many people struggle when they're taught what to believe but not how to process life's hard questions. This isn't a conversation about abandoning faith—it's about examining what we've been taught, holding space for questions, and finding our way through the things that no longer make sense. As always, we're talking about it out loud. > "We were taught how to follow the rules. We weren't always taught what to do when we broke them." Things We Wish We Didn't Know (and Wish We Knew Sooner)

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1931781/fan_mail/new] In this episode, we talk about the experiences we wish we'd known before we learned them the hard way-- and some things we wish we didn't know. From relationships and adulthood to family dynamics and life in general, we reflect on the conversations that never happened when we were growing up and how that shaped us. We also discuss why we're much more open and forthcoming with our own kids, believing that knowledge, honesty, and communication prepare them better than silence ever could. Some lessons are unavoidable. Others could have been a little easier if someone had simply talked about them. Our kids may not always like what we tell them, but they'll never be able to say nobody told them. So that's exactly what we're doing — talking out loud. Fear, Respect, and Our Kids Could Never

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1931781/fan_mail/new] In this episode, we're asking a question that might make some people uncomfortable: Were we respectful... or were we just scared? We unpack the difference between fear and respect, sharing stories from our childhood and comparing them to how our own kids would respond today. From "the look" to unspoken household rules, we reflect on what shaped us, what we're keeping, and what we're changing as parents. Along the way, we talk about generational differences, parenting styles, and why understanding the "why" behind behavior matters more than blind obedience. As always, there's plenty of laughter, a little nostalgia, and a whole lot of talking out loud. Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1931781/support] Real-life sisters. Real talk. Education, Expectations, and Emotional Health

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1931781/fan_mail/new] In this episode, we unpack the pressure this generation of kids faces — from school expectations to figuring out what they actually want their lives to look and feel like, not just what job title sounds successful. We talk about how we were raised to obey without questioning, and why we’re choosing a different approach with our own kids: educating instead of restricting, teaching the “why” behind decisions, and allowing natural consequences to do the teaching instead of fear and control. This conversation is about breaking generational patterns, redefining success, and raising kids who understand themselves — not just follow rules. Because “because I said so” doesn’t build emotionally healthy adults. Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1931781/support] Real-life sisters. Real talk. Real healing. Unpacking Narcissism in Real Life

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/1931781/fan_mail/new] We’re continuing the conversation from our hiatus — but this time, we’re going deeper. In this episode, we talk about narcissism — not from a textbook, but from lived experience. We unpack the signs we didn’t recognize at the time, the patterns that kept us stuck, and how manipulation can look like love when you don’t know what you’re looking at. From charm to control, confusion to clarity — we share what we went through, what we’ve learned, and what we want other women to recognize sooner. Because sometimes the hardest truth to accept is this: it wasn’t love… it was something else. Show Notes In This Episode, We Talk About: *  Continuing life updates from our hiatus  *  What narcissism looked like in our relationships  *  Early red flags we didn’t recognize  *  Love bombing, control, and emotional manipulation  *  Why it’s hard to leave (and even harder to stay gone)  *  The emotional impact of narcissistic dynamics  Real Talk Reminder: Not everything that feels intense is love. Not everything that hurts is meant to teach you to stay. Sometimes clarity comes after the chaos — and that’s okay.
