It’s the artistic adventure that begins with “What if we…?” then follows a consciously guided course through optimal outcomes, legitimate concerns, and competitive considerations. It’s the path this university-trained graphic designer has been following since leaving the confines of big agencies in Chicago and Denver, and her portfolio is colorful evidence that it works. There’s the logo-diamond wallpaper design for the Denny’s wedding chapel in Las Vegas and the room-wrapping surface art that evolved from a client’s request to make a 1915 flywheel engine the centerpiece of their building and branding. You Could Do Good Work, But…

Seasoned video editor Anthony Marzilli shares the importance of relationship-building in business. He also dives into balancing a successful career with family life and the value of authenticity and curiosity within his 10-year career. Anthony and host, Kaila Sachse, explore practical insights on networking, client management, and the evolution of professionalism—all tailored for entrepreneurs and creative professionals. ABOUT ANTHONY MARZILLI After graduating from Central Michigan University in 2007, Anthony started working in post-production doing audio for commercials. During that time, he started seeing these video programs and started to teach himself with a lot of time watching YouTube tutorials and learning everything he could.  Anthony Marzilli produced videos for Comcast’s advertising branch, creating commercials for people who wanted to be on their airwaves. 3 years later, an opportunity to work for the Detroit Pistons came up, and growing up always loving sports, he took that chance. The people were amazing in the sports world, but he realized he couldn't keep up with the non-stop pace knowing he wanted more time with his 2-year-old son and a daughter on the way.  He did side work so he could make it work by editing at home. His first gig was for Ford Performance (Ford Racing), and from there, they referred his name to places like Penske and local car race track, M1 Concourse. The connections he made over the years with all the amazing people kept branching out. He now works with companies like the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Athletic Club (#1 Athletic Club in America 6 years in a row), Detroit Tigers, keynote speakers, and ad agencies. -------------------- LINKS anthonymarzilli.com [https://anthonymarzilli.com/?utm_source=podcast&utm_medium=yumaridigital&utm_campaign=bringingupbusiness] @Anthony.Marzilli [https://www.instagram.com/anthony.marzilli] Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2426474/fan_mail/new] Custom Apparel & Accessories by Virtue [https://virtuescreenprinting.com/?utm_source=podcast&utm_medium=ad&utm_campaign=bringingupbusiness] Whether you're promoting your business or expanding your brand, Virtue has you covered. Nonprofits: How an Emmy Award-Winner is Reducing Recidivism and Increasing Section 8 Housing

Cat Greenleaf, a former NBC host and four-time Emmy Award winner, shares her journey into starting a nonprofit called the Restorative Housing Organization, aimed at reducing recidivism rates and increasing housing opportunities for Section 8 tenants. She also discusses the intersection of business and parenting, the challenges of balancing a career with family life, and the importance of understanding the complexities of substance abuse and incarceration. Cat shares what it was like to go from having a successful television career to founding a nonprofit aimed at providing housing and job training for formerly incarcerated individuals. The conversation also touches on the stigma surrounding Section 8 housing and the hiring practices within the nonprofit sector. This episode is brought to you in collaboration with Podcasthon [https://podcasthon.org/?utm_source=bringingupbusiness&utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=yumaridigital], the biggest charity Event in Podcasting world! There's no money involved—it’s all about raising awareness for various charitable causes. ❤️ More About Cat Greenleaf Cat created and hosted NBC’s long-running series Talk Stoop—the celebrity interview show filmed on her Brooklyn front steps. Yep, the one with the bulldog that dominated NYC TaxiTV and USA Daytime in the 20teens. Over nine years, she hosted hundreds of guests, racked up four Emmys, launched countless adventures—and had so much fun. Then she got fired. No fun. After losing her job, she thought she’d never to go back to journalism. With no other marketable skills and no idea what to do next, she entered an epic dark night of the soul.  Looking for light, her family moved to the beach in Coney Island. There, Cat got serious about her own sobriety and began bringing recovery meetings to incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and men. That work inspired her to found the nonprofit Restorative Housing Organization [https://restorativehousing.org/?utm_source=bringingupbusiness&utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=yumaridigital]. RHO is dedicated to training formerly incarcerated men and women to renovate undervalued NYC waterfront properties, which are then rented to Section 8 tenants. https://restorativehousing.org/?utm_source=bringingupbusiness&utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=yumaridigital Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2426474/fan_mail/new] Raising Awareness with Podcasthon [https://podcasthon.org/?utm_source=bringingupbusiness&utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=yumaridigital] This episode is in partnership with Podcasthon, the world’s largest charity podcast event!
