Finding Fables

Episode 2 of the Women of WWII series focuses mainly on the British home-front and the challenges women faced as a domestic fighting force: protecting their country from invasion, facing family separations and enduring years of devastating bombings. I also talk about women's military auxiliary services, rationing, victory gardens, war bond collection and more.

Episode 1 of the Women of WWII series covers the "Rosie the Riveters" who performed vital war production jobs in factories and made the American production of war materials a driving force of the Allies' victory. I explore the sacrifice these women made and their contribution to women in the workforce today
