LALO Tactical Presents WTF Ep. 5 Mike Rodriguez

This week on the show, Mike Rodriguez is on to talk about continued service to others and his time as a Green Beret. A devoted family-man, Mike's family has been deployed 26 times in support of various wars and conflicts over a combined 47 years of service to our nation. Mike joined the Army and became what is known as an 18D or combat medic within the Green Beret community. Over the course of his nine deployments, he has been blown up, hurt or otherwise injured countless times which ultimately led to his medical retirement from the Army. Now he fills his time in service to the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation as a Board Member as well as an Advisor on the George Bush Presidential Center's Military Service Initiative Council. Never one to be deterred, he also manages to spend time in the forge, creating one-of-a-kind pieces of functional art, some even forged from relics recovered from each site of the 9/11 attacks. This week on LALO Tactical Presents WTF, we are joined by Justin Knowles of @military Instagram Page. Using his time as a Navy SEAL, Justin transitioned out of the Navy and into working for some of the brightest minds in the defense contracting community. He was able to work on the SEAL Delivery Vehicles and even assist in the design of jet boots to assist in long-range swims for operators out there at the tip of the spear. Eventually, Justin met Sam and Sean who made him a regular contributor on the @military page. This week on LALO Tactical Presents: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Rob Jones is on the show to talk about his life and preparation for the upcoming 31 Marathons he will run in 31 Days which some have lovingly titled “Marathon Madness” or “Month of Marathons”. To say that Rob is dedicated and motivated to push boundaries is an understatement. After an accident in Afghanistan left him a double above-the-knee amputee, he could have given in to depression but instead he chose to inspire others. While recovering in Bethesda, MD he learned that no other amputees in his situation had ridden a conventional bike before, this was a challenge he would accept and not stop there. Rob has ridden across the United States… DIAGONALLY… to raise awareness that Veterans are capable of so much, limitations or not. We talked a bit of his race prep and the many people who support his journey to this day.
