Episode 4: When God has the Earth Swallow you Whole

This week, Patricia is joined by Rev. Melanie Firebaugh for a very scary story about God having the earth swallow people whole. Yes, it's in there--Numbers 16:1-35. It is a good conversation about sin, toxic behavior in the church, and gives us all an opportunity to check with ourselves and our intentions, and hopefully get a little closer to God in the process. **Just a head's up, the sound is not the best on this episode--we had some issues while recording--but I hope you enjoy it anyway!**

Rebekah Rochte Votral, as they tackle the various scriptures in Exodus that mention God hardening Pharoah's heart. Every time his heart is hardened, a plague happens. The hardening of Pharoah's heart ultimately leads to Pharoah's demise and the genocide of an entire group of people. So, what do we do with a story condoning genocide? Does everything happen for a reason? Why do bad things happen to good people? These questions and more are brought up as we dive in to a scary story together!
