Surf Report Tampa Florida
# West Central and Southwest Florida Surf Report - Sunday, June 21st Good morning, I'm bringing you the latest surf and beach conditions for West Central and Southwest Florida this Sunday and into Monday. Let's dive right in. Starting with the northern zones covering Cedar Key down through Port Richey, we're looking at super small surf today with waves at one foot or less. The rip current risk stays low, but remember that life-threatening rips can still pop up near groins, jetties, and piers, so keep an eye out. It's going to be mostly sunny with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will climb into the upper eighties with west winds running five to ten miles per hour. The water temperature is sitting in the mid eighties, so it's going to be nice and warm for a swim. We do have an extreme UV index today, so definitely grab that sunscreen before you head out. High tide at Cedar Key comes at seven forty-six in the morning, with low tide at one fifty-six in the afternoon. Moving down to the Pinellas County beaches including Clearwater and Saint Pete Beach, we've got slightly better surf conditions today at one to two feet. Again, rip current risk is low with no thunderstorm threat. It's going to be sunny out there, and temperatures will be a bit warmer, pushing into the lower nineties. Southwest winds stay light at five to ten miles per hour. Water temperature matches the north at mid eighties, and that extreme UV index means sunscreen is absolutely essential. Over on the southwest side at Charlotte and Lee County beaches, including Sanibel and Captiva, we're looking at one foot or less surf. Sunny skies, light south winds becoming westerly in the afternoon, and highs around ninety degrees. Again, low rip current risk, no thunderstorms, and that same mid-eighty water temperature. The extreme UV index continues across all zones, so protection from the sun is your priority today. Tonight across all areas, thunderstorm potential drops to none. We'll see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with lows in the lower eighties to around eighty degrees depending on your location. Winds shift northwest and remain light. Surf stays minimal at one foot or less. Monday looks absolutely beautiful across the board. Sunny conditions everywhere with highs in the lower nineties on the south end and upper eighties up north. Rip current risk remains low with no thunderstorm activity. Surf stays at one foot or less with light southwest to west winds. The water stays warm in the mid eighties, making it perfect for getting in the water, just keep protecting that skin from that extreme UV. So here's the bottom line: we're looking at a fantastic weekend with calm, sunny conditions ideal for the beach. Surf is minimal, so if you're looking to ride waves, this isn't the time, but if you want to swim, wade, or just soak up the sun, it's going to be perfect. Just remember to slather on the sunscreen and watch for rip currents near structure like piers and jetties. Get out there and enjoy this beautiful Florida weather.
