Episode West Central Southwest Florida Beach Forecast June 15 16 Sunny Mild Surf Moderate Rip Currents Cover

West Central Southwest Florida Beach Forecast June 15 16 Sunny Mild Surf Moderate Rip Currents

Good morning, this is your West Central and Southwest Florida surf zone forecast for Monday, June 15th through Tuesday, June 16th, 2026. Let's start with what Mother Nature is serving up today across the entire region. If you're heading to the beach, bring your sunscreen and maybe a hat, because we're looking at mostly sunny skies with an extreme UV index. That means the sun is no joke today, folks. Water temperatures are in the mid eighties, so it'll feel nice and refreshing when you take that plunge. Surf conditions are pretty mellow across the board. We're talking one foot or less for the entire coastline, so don't expect any epic swells. The good news is rip current risk is low for most areas, though if you're up in the Cedar Key, Yankeetown, Crystal River, or Homosassa regions, just keep an eye out since life threatening rip currents can still pop up near piers and jetties. Down in Charlotte and Lee County beaches like Sanibel and Captiva, it's nice and calm with low rip current risk as well. Wind-wise, expect west to southwest breezes ranging from five to fifteen miles per hour depending on where you are. The northern zone will see slightly stronger winds around fifteen miles per hour, while the southern beaches will be a bit lighter. Thunderstorm potential is generally low to moderate. The northern areas and the central zone have a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, but nothing severe on the radar. The southern Charlotte and Lee County beaches are looking particularly dry. Now let's talk about tonight. Skies will be mostly cloudy to partly cloudy depending on the hour. Temperatures drop to the lower eighties. Here's where things get interesting in the northern zone. While most areas will see low rip current risk tonight, the Levy, Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco County beaches will bump up to moderate rip current risk. This means life threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone, so exercise caution if you're out there after dark. The rest of the region stays low, so swimmers and waders in the Pinellas through Lee County areas can rest easy. Moving into Tuesday, we're looking at mostly sunny skies across the board with temperatures in the mid to upper eighties. Scattered showers and thunderstorms pop back into the forecast, particularly in the northern and central zones. The southern beaches should stay mostly dry with just isolated showers possible. Rip current risk remains low everywhere on Tuesday, so that's good news for anyone planning to get in the water. Winds on Tuesday shift to southwest, ranging from around five miles per hour in the morning to fifteen in the afternoon as the day progresses. So there you have it. Beautiful beach weather today with some sun safety caution required. Tonight brings moderate rip current risk to the northern zone, and Tuesday looks pretty solid for beach activities with typical summer afternoon thunderstorms possible. Stay safe out there and enjoy the Gulf. For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Episode Sunday Beach Forecast West Central Southwest Florida Calm Surf Warm Water Upper Eighties Moderate Rip Currents Cover

Sunday Beach Forecast West Central Southwest Florida Calm Surf Warm Water Upper Eighties Moderate Rip Currents

Good morning! Here's your Sunday surf zone forecast for West Central and Southwest Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service Tampa Bay. Let's start up north in the Levy County area, where conditions are looking pretty mellow. You're looking at surf heights of one foot or less with a low rip current risk. The water's warming up nicely in the mid eighties, and you've got mostly sunny skies ahead with west winds at ten to fifteen miles per hour. High temps will reach the upper eighties. Just be aware that even with low rip current risk, those danger zones stick around near groins, jetties, and piers. Moving down the coast to the Pinellas and Hillsborough beaches around Clearwater and Saint Pete Beach, we're seeing a moderate rip current risk today. That means life-threatening rips are possible in the surf zone, so keep your eyes open out there. Again, one foot or less on the surf, mostly sunny skies, and slightly lighter winds at five to ten miles per hour. Water temps in the mid eighties, and it's going to be hot topside with highs in the upper eighties. The UV index is extreme, so sunscreen is absolutely essential. Down in Southwest Florida around the Lee and Charlotte County beaches like Sanibel and Captiva, conditions are even calmer with a low rip current risk. You've still got that one foot or less surf, but here the threat for thunderstorms is low, and winds are the lightest of the day at five to ten miles per hour. Temps are similar across the board, upper eighties for highs and mid eighties in the water. As we head into tonight, most areas will see moderate rip current risk developing, so that's something to note if you're planning an evening swim. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms possible in the northern zones, but the southern beaches should stay dry. Lows dip into the lower eighties. Winds stay light from the west. Monday shapes up to be another beautiful day across the region. Mostly sunny to sunny skies dominate, though the northern areas maintain that moderate rip current risk while the south stays low. Surf remains minimal at one foot or less, and winds pick up slightly to ten to fifteen miles per hour in some spots. Highs return to the upper eighties. The bottom line: fantastic beach weather all weekend with extreme UV conditions, so protect that skin. Water's gorgeous and warm, but respect those rip currents, especially near structures like piers and jetties. Have a great day at the beach! West Central and Southwest Florida Beach Forecast Saturday June 13th Sunny Warm Water Light Winds Perfect Swimming

Good morning! Here's your surf zone forecast for West Central and Southwest Florida this Saturday, June 13th, brought to you by the National Weather Service. Let's start with the northern beaches from Cedar Key down through Hernando Beach. Today you're looking at nearly glass-smooth conditions with surf at one foot or less. Rip current risk stays low, so it's generally safe out there. The weather is mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s, and we've got an extreme UV index, so definitely get that sunscreen on. Winds are light, coming from the west at five to ten miles per hour. Water temps are sitting in the lower 80s, which is perfect for a comfortable swim. Tonight things stay calm with mostly cloudy skies and lows in the lower 80s. Sunday follows the same script with mostly sunny skies and the same light conditions, though winds will pick up slightly to ten to fifteen miles per hour out of the west. Moving down to the Pinellas County beaches, including Clearwater Beach and Saint Pete Beach, we've got that same one foot or less surf and low rip current risk for today. It'll be mostly sunny with an extreme UV index and upper 80s for your high. Northwest winds are minimal at five to ten miles per hour. Tonight looks partly cloudy early then mostly cloudy, with temps dropping to around 80. Here's where things get interesting for Sunday though. While surf heights remain at a foot or less, the rip current risk bumps up to moderate. That means life-threatening rip currents are possible in the surf zone. Still mostly sunny with the same light winds, but definitely pay attention to the water and use the buddy system if you're heading out. Finally, the southern zones around Charlotte and Lee Counties including Sanibel and Captiva. Today brings a moderate chance of showers and thunderstorms mixed in with mostly sunny skies, so keep an eye on the sky. Otherwise conditions are similar with one foot or less surf and low rip current risk. Highs again in the upper 80s with an extreme UV index. Light north winds shift west in the afternoon. Water temps here are a bit warmer in the mid 80s. Tonight stays dry with partly cloudy conditions and upper 70s lows. Sunday clears up nicely with mostly sunny skies, light winds becoming westerly, and that same calm one foot or less surf. In summary, a beautiful beach day is shaping up across West Central and Southwest Florida with warm water, light winds, and mostly sunny skies. Just remember the moderate rip current risk developing Sunday along the Pinellas beaches, and don't skip the sunscreen anywhere you're heading. Have a great Saturday at the beach! Episode Florida Beach Forecast June 12-13: Warm Water, Flat Surf, Thunderstorms South Cover

Florida Beach Forecast June 12-13: Warm Water, Flat Surf, Thunderstorms South

Good morning! Here's your surf zone forecast for West Central and Southwest Florida for Friday, June 12th through Saturday. If you're thinking about heading to the beach today, bring your sunscreen and plenty of water because we're looking at extreme UV conditions across the board. The water is warm, sitting in the lower to mid 80s, which is perfect for a long swim or paddle. Let's talk about the surf first. Unfortunately, if you're a surfer, we're not going to have much to work with. Expect surf heights of one foot or less across all our beaches today and continuing through Saturday. The rip current risk remains low, but keep in mind that life-threatening rip currents can still form around groins, jetties, reefs, and piers, so stay aware of your surroundings. Moving up the coast to the Hernando and Pasco area beaches like Hudson, Port Richey, and Bayport, conditions are going to be absolutely gorgeous. We're looking at sunny skies with highs in the mid 80s. West winds will be light at five to ten miles per hour. High tide hits around 11:30 AM in Cedar Key and just before noon in the Saint Petersburg area. There's no thunderstorm threat in this region, so you can plan your beach day with confidence. Down around the Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Sarasota beaches, including popular spots like Clearwater, Siesta Key, and Longboat Key, we're still looking fantastic overall. However, there's a low chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms popping up today, so keep an eye on the sky. Highs will reach the upper 80s with light and variable winds becoming westerly at ten miles per hour in the afternoon. Water temps in the lower 80s are ideal. Tonight those chances diminish as we expect partly cloudy skies with west winds around five miles per hour. Finally, down at Sanibel, Captiva, and Fort Myers Beach, things get a bit more interesting. We're looking at moderate thunderstorm potential today through Saturday, so scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast. It's mostly sunny between the storms with highs in the upper 80s. Winds start out from the east at five miles per hour and shift to the southwest this afternoon. Water temperatures are warming up to the mid 80s, making it very comfortable. Saturday looks very similar across the board. Mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s, light winds becoming northwesterly, and that same low rip current risk. Down in the Charlotte and Lee County area, the moderate thunderstorm potential continues Saturday, so plan for scattered activity throughout the day. Overall, you're looking at a beautiful couple of beach days ahead with warm water and sunshine. Just remember to protect yourself from that extreme UV, watch out for rip currents near structures, and if you're heading south to Fort Myers or Sanibel, be prepared for some afternoon thunderstorms. Have a great time at the beach! For more http://www.quietplease.ai Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Episode Thursday Beach Forecast West Central Southwest Florida Sunny Calm Waters Lower Eighties Perfect Day Cover

Thursday Beach Forecast West Central Southwest Florida Sunny Calm Waters Lower Eighties Perfect Day

Good morning everyone, and welcome to your Thursday surf zone forecast for West Central and Southwest Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service Tampa Bay. Let's dive right in. If you're thinking about heading to the water today, here's what you need to know. We're looking at tiny waves across the board, just one foot or less, so don't expect any serious swell action. But hey, that just means the water's going to be nice and calm for whatever water activity you've got planned. Starting up north along the Nature Coast beaches from Cedar Key down through Port Richey, we're expecting sunny skies with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. The water temperature is holding steady in the lower eighties, and with those southeast winds shifting to the southwest this afternoon at just five miles per hour, it's going to feel absolutely gorgeous out there. Now here's something important: the UV index is extreme today, so make absolutely sure you're getting that sunscreen on. Trust me, your skin will thank you later. Rip current risk stays low, but remember, even in low risk conditions, those tricky currents can still pop up near groins, jetties, reefs, and piers, so keep your eyes open. Moving down to the Clearwater Beach and Siesta Key area, we're looking at similar conditions, though the thunderstorm potential bumps up to moderate. That means there's a better chance of seeing some afternoon pop-up storms, but nothing severe. Temperatures are heading toward the upper eighties, and again, that extreme UV index is in play. The same low rip current risk applies here too. Heading further south to the Southwest Florida beaches like Sanibel, Captiva, and Fort Myers Beach, we're mostly sunny today with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. The water stays in the lower eighties, and those east winds will shift southerly as we move through the afternoon. Friday though, that's when things get a bit more interesting down here. We're expecting a moderate thunderstorm potential, so keep an eye on the forecast if you're planning a beach day tomorrow. Tonight across all our zones, things really settle down. We're looking at mostly clear skies, calm winds around five miles per hour, and lows around eighty or just in the upper seventies depending on where you are. Zero thunderstorm potential, so it's going to be a beautiful evening for a beach walk. Now looking ahead to Friday, we're keeping that sunny, calm pattern going. Rip currents stay low, surf height remains at one foot or less, and high temperatures will be in the upper eighties. Winds will be light and variable, becoming west around ten miles per hour in the afternoon. The only exception is down in Charlotte and Lee County beaches where moderate thunderstorm potential returns Friday afternoon. Bottom line: today and tomorrow are shaping up to be absolutely beautiful beach days. Calm waters, sunny skies, and warm temperatures. Just remember that sunscreen and be weather aware for those afternoon thunderstorms, especially down south on Friday. Now get out there and enjoy those Florida beaches!
