Six months into the season, I stopped to count what I was actually hearing. Across dozens of 1:1s, different jobs, different cities, different titles, the same five patterns kept walking in the door. Then the quiet turn where you stop blaming the situation and start blaming yourself. Then the bottom, where the job stops being something you do and becomes something you are. And finally the turn, the part I didn't want to end without, because six months in I've watched it happen for real. Underneath all five is the framework I use to map this stuff with clients, the five Cs: Conditions, Culture, Convictions, Capacity, and Choices.
