19. Overcoming Your Overwhelm as a Mom Owning a Business: 5 Part Transformation Series, Investing in Your 2.0 Self

The overwhelm you may be experiencing as both a mom and business owner serving in many roles. Overwhelm is very common and overcoming it requires noticing a pattern.  Your 2.0 self is available on the other side of your transformation. It requires a decision to invest in yourself and do the work. Dabbling or hoping someone else can do it for you is not an option.  You are likely a woman that chooses to help others working within a service industry, but how often do you choose your own well-being? I allowed decades to go by before I chose to do the work. You don't become stronger just because you went through a hardship. It is what you choose during and after that can make you stronger, depending on your capacity. I share some of my own hero's journey story in this episode, so that you can see the possibility of more quality time, even after multiple hardships over several decades. A traumatic accident and loss a few years ago was the catalyst for my transformation. I go deeper in my course experience with my private group, but I share this because I don't want you to wait for something unexpected to happen. I feel so grateful I had already done the deep work when another traumatic accident happened recently. I had already transformed my salon business to my dream schedule, beautiful income and had my preferred communication in place. There was and still is a large amount of demand on my time, therefore my new flexible schedule was such a gift even more. My capacity to feel my feelings and then handle everything that kept happening with trust in God, grace towards other's unconscious behavior and the wisdom to choose the next best step daily. 17. Enjoying Ease by Surrendering the Control to God: Even in Times of Adversity

Send us Fan Mail [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2570151/fan_mail/new] The spiritual gift of wisdom to make decisions without trying to control the outcome has become one of my favorite gifts. Being open to new opportunities, relationships and experiences. As I allow God the control, my life is unfolding in the most interesting way. I see things so differently and enjoy the ease I am experiencing by surrendering and allowing alignment, even in adversity. Who do you spend the most time with? Do they inspire you, help you grow and respect you with clear communication? When we think someone can handle it, this is a natural mutual part of a healthy relationship. This can be you asking for what you need. Your expectations with your spouse or children or in your business with clients or staff. If you have experienced a recent trauma, your weekly schedule might surprise other people that have no idea what is happening behind the scenes. Things can appear different than the hard reality, however we can choose to focus on gratitude and not to complain or share the details. I practice gratitude before my feet even hit the floor in the morning.  In this episode, I share a fictional story from a tv series of a character the lives a life of ease in most areas, however she faces adversity when a past trauma comes back to haunt her. She chooses to trust, even when those around her didn't have faith in her. Imagine the possibilities when we follow the nudge. It's likely overwhelm or stress. Can you relate to this as a mother running a business, trying to find time for yourself and your family? Imagine your day starting calm and slow. Intentional. The positive ripple effect this creates flowing into your children's morning, your drive to work, your interaction with people in your business throughout the day or the tasks in your office and finally the feeling at the end of the day when you reflect.
