Beschreibung

This week I take you on a drive as I reflect on my journey with neurodivergence, trauma, masking and being a high functioning girl and woman within the context of my experience of sex abuse and how it shaped my experiences in my day to day. I also share 2 accommodations since discovering the added layer of AuDHD and learning to release myself of the guilt of not doing things the neurotypical way. These accommodations have helped me in my daily operations as a mum and have supported me in being better prepared in my social interactions without having a complete meltdown afterwards. This episode is both reflective and practical and my intention is for you to recognise yourself in this and feeling less alone and having something practical to implement in your life, doing it your way. Below I have useful links related to the topic explored in this episode and underneath that you can find how to connect with me and dive deeper into my work. Episode From the Vault: Holding Space for Loved Ones | Why Survivors Make the Best Healers Cover

From the Vault: Holding Space for Loved Ones | Why Survivors Make the Best Healers

This week I found 2 voice memos from when I was plucking up the courage to start a podcast back in 2023. It was wild finding these and how relevant they are to what I'm sharing now. I talk about how to listen to your loved one's trauma story: the do's and don'ts when responding to them. The other voice memo is how trauma survivors make some of the best healers and how our lived experience brings a new level of understanding and ability to hold space differently. Episode What it Means to Love Yourself More with Guest Lauren Ferris Cover

What it Means to Love Yourself More with Guest Lauren Ferris

This week we dive into the realities of loving yourself, while holding all the roles of motherhood. Lauren shares her journey of answering to the question: How can I love myself more? This is a must listen, if you have been looking at your family sideways and quietly imploding. We share the realistic ways to putting yourself first in the thick of it all. About our guest: Lauren is a mum of three little humans (not so little...almost 16, 12, and six).  She is the founder and owner of The F.I.T Method. Her fourth baby.  She is a Leo & a Projector in her Human Design, because of this she has a very deep, strong desire and purpose to share her story and life evolution, to help others understand their own story. She uses movement to express, heal and connect to herself and her community. From there, the magic happens with self-image coaching.  "Seeing and loving yourself unconditionally is the whole focus and point."  She uses her Leo courage and performance with her Projector intuition and strategy to create ripples of love wherever she goes.  Connect with Lauren Instagram: @lauren_ferris_coach [https://www.instagram.com/lauren_ferris_coach/] @thefitmethod_wellness [https://www.instagram.com/thefitmethod_wellness/] Facebook The F.I.T Club Group [https://www.facebook.com/groups/145847514198011] Lauren Ferris [https://www.facebook.com/lauren.ferris.338] Spotify LIVING OUTSIDE THE BOX [https://open.spotify.com/show/2jARN9S1hMl8MpFFdCz64j?si=rTjK7Oz8Sv2Op1eZ6mE4rg] Connect with me @the_recovery_room_podcast [https://www.instagram.com/the_recovery_room_podcast/] Start creating healthy boundaries with difficult people inside my free exclusive episode Protect Your Peace [https://app.helloaudio.fm/feed/deae356b-758e-4c43-8308-0081adef14c0/signup] Break the cycle with dysfunctional family dynamics and build your rulebook of boundaries Join my waitlist [https://sparklywaitlist.subscribepage.io] for your ultimate guiding workbook to live a peaceful life from the inside out. Hidden in Plain Sight: How Abusers Groom Victims and Their Circles

This week I am discussing sexual grooming. What it is and who it affects. This information took me years to understand this is what happened to me. I'm here to shine a light on the manipulation tactics groomers employ and they're not just used on their victims. I reference 2 articles I found to be useful in having the language to describe what happened to me in an efficient way. I've linked the 2 articles I talk about below.
