As a student, the importance of media and information literacy is first and foremost, media literacy helps students become wiser consumers of media as as responsible producers of their own media. Being media and information literate is essential for a variety of reasons. It is necessary in order to use current and historical information in media with intelligence. It is critical to be able to succesfully navigate various types of media. I believe it is critical to understand where to find the best source of information for your specific needs, being able to evaluate information and ability to determine whether it is correct or not.
