Originally from Germany and now a longtime Nashvillian, Thomm has built a remarkable career through beautiful songs, outstanding musicianship and a deep love for acoustic music. Thomm is known for his collaboration with other artists and is a cornerstone of Nashville's creative community. With a wide range of co-creative projects with artists such as Eric Brace & Peter Cooper, Tammy Rogers (The SteelDrivers), Tim Stafford (Blue Highway), Martin Simpson, John Prine, Billy Strings, Del McCoury, Nanci Griffith, The SteelDrivers, Kim Richey have earned him a reputation as one of the quiet forces behind some of the best music coming out of Music City.
His acclaimed albums To Live in Two Worlds, Volumes 1 & 2 (2020)combine ensemble and solo performances; Volume 1 earned a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album.
Featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame's American Currents exhibit (2022-2023), Jutz continues to shape the next generation of songwriters as an instructor of songwriting at Belmont University.
