I regularly have things to say which are too unfocused to put into an essay for posting on my substack site. I hope you might find it helpful. Plus, I feel a strong need to cover what is no longer being taught by the Apostate Church. It's almost time to go home. We need to get ready. biblicalreality.substack.com

episode #4≈ Keeping the Holy Spirit on a leash cover

#4≈ Keeping the Holy Spirit on a leash

False preachers, megachurch media powerhouses, lack of true worship, human doctrinal squabbling, content limited to intellectual understanding, no discussion with the Messiah, very limited understanding of spiritual warfare, complete unawareness of what the Holy Spirit offers in daily life and ministry. As far as I can tell, all of these issues come from a single source. All of these ministers (and many are very popular) show solid evidence that they have not given the Holy Spirit a place in their lives that is meaningful. They might say vaguely that the Holy Spirit enables them to do what they do. But there is no evidence that they are depending on Him moment by moment for anointed words that can pierce through the BS and truly touch people. The Holy Spirit enables us to talk with Him about what we’re doing We normally think we are talking to Jesus or the Father, but it is actually the Holy Spirit within us that enables this communication. Personally, I think it is necessary to ask our Messiah to baptize us with the Holy Spirit. But I certainly do not want to reduce things to doctrine or a method. God Almighty in His various manifestations is far too free for those types of limitation. We serve one amazingly complex God. I regularly find myself talking to the Father, my Messiah, and the Holy Spirit at various times in the same conversations. I consider Yeshua to be my friend in all of this, but all of this includes all of them. I’ve been known to lapse into a chuckle exclaiming, “OK, you guys, I just don’t know what name to use.” So far, they haven’t squashed me like a bug. In fact, I seem to notice some levity coming from the other side of the conversation. I’ll be SO JOYFUL when I finally know as I am known. I imagine I’ll be embarrassed. But just to know what is going on is huge for me. This is praying without ceasing to me Hopefully, on good days, this type of sharing goes on all day. I wish it happened more than that. But I know that is coming when the need for faith passes into my personal history. It occurs to me that this is what was going on when Jesus went up into the mountains to pray all night. It’s not possible in the middle of a crowd—for me at least. I cover the practicalities of all this stuff in my newsletters: Hearing Jesus Now [https://biblicalreality.substack.com/s/hearing-jesus-is-necessary], The Holy Spirit for us [https://biblicalreality.substack.com/s/the-holy-spirit-for-the-rest-of-us], & Practical Spiritual Warfare [https://biblicalreality.substack.com/s/practical-spiritual-warfare]. They all have a tab on the home page of the website [https://biblicalreality.substack.com/] for this substack in your browser. I can’t find them on the app [yet another reason why I don’t use the app]. But, the times that were foretold are upon us You need to be able to walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as needed, as He distributes them. I covered that in the last podcast. But what I have been told to tell you today is simple. The Holy Spirit needs to be himself in you Like Yeshua Messiah, the Holy Spirit is meek, kind, and gentle. He will not go where He is not wanted. He will not beg you to let Him in. You need to ask Him in. Better yet, you need to ask Yeshua Messiah to send Him in. In the coming days, we will all need Him more than ever before. We need His anointing on everything we do—because the time for fruitful labor on earth is almost over for us. We need to focus on hearing our daily instructions and being obedient to do them. episode #3≈ Is the Bride ready? cover

#3≈ Is the Bride ready?

The Lord has given me a difficult task today. I’ve shared in many places and times that the Lord told me in the 1990s that no one will have it figured out completely before it happens to us. I’m convinced that this is due to a simple fact: it is much more complex than anyone knows. My faith tells me that my fiancée has shown me some things which I believe to be true—which I am not allowed to share. I’m sure that part of it is that He is not going to share many of the specifics of what is coming. For example, when I ask Him about specific numbers of the various groups during the time from now until Jesus touches down on the Mount of Olives to end the final war that we call Armageddon, all He’ll say is, “Your figures are close but no one will be told the actual figures until after it is over.” That’s not a quote, but just a general sense of what He was telling me. So, my plan is to clearly label my opinions as I do my best to explain what is coming very soon. You need to decide what you believe with His help. So. How soon is He coming? Let’s start with a Prayer: Lord Jesus, I ask you anoint me to write what will be helpful without straying into error. I ask you touch my readers and listeners to hear accurately and I ask that you help them understand what their position is to be. I put this all in your hands, because I know that only you know fully what is coming. Even you are waiting for the Father to give you the word to come and pick up the Restrainer so the final seven years can begin. Amen. Yes, the first thing which no one knows for sure is who the Restrainer is. So, let’s get underway… Get full access to Biblical Reality Advice at biblicalreality.substack.com/subscribe [https://biblicalreality.substack.com/subscribe?utm_medium=podcast&utm_campaign=CTA_4]

episode #2≈ Finding a Biblical church cover

#2≈ Finding a Biblical church

This is a commentary about the essay, [https://biblicalreality.substack.com/p/finding-a-biblical-church]Finding a Biblical Church [https://biblicalreality.substack.com/p/finding-a-biblical-church]. We are in a real mess in the midst of a toxic snarl of denominations, the American ideal of the rugged individualist, non-Biblical doctrine, and a historic past which is actually the record of how Satan made the church irrelevant. The end is coming very fast. So, the Lord has asked me to write a practical guide to deal with the cultural realities of America today. Where did the church start? In the beginning, most churches were home churches, in large homes. Their services were consciously modeled after a synagogue service. They had Agape meals that were modeled (more or less) after the Seder meals of Pesach (Passover). But they were much more free than anything we have today. They were led by spirit-filled people. The Holy Spirit was strongly present all day, every day. There is only one description of a church service in the Bible What then, brethren? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn; and let one interpret. But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silence in church and speak to himself and to God. Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. If a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first be silent. For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged; and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets. For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14: 26–33 The synagogue services read scriptures from the Law and the Prophets with a lectionary which had a specified reading from the Torah, and a complementary reading from the Haftarah (the Prophets). As we can see, Paul’s service above was quite a bit looser than that. Paul’s model was more under control of the Holy Spirit through the leadership of the elders. There seems to be a lot of participation of the congregation. The essay goes on for quite a while and covers a lot of our history. I will add quite a bit to this audio version. episode #1≈ The Wisdom of Faith cover

#1≈ The Wisdom of Faith

This is all of my little script The wisdom of our prime training tool is rarely understood. It helps to realize that the universe was created to train us to be friends of God. To produce the people the Lord wanted, He needed a training place where He could not normally be experienced by our five senses. The awesome power of His presence would force us to believe—that would make us useless friends. He wants friends who can relate to Him on His level. But for that to work, we need to meet Him on a level where we can not see, feel, touch, smell, or taste Him. Yet, if we accept the Truth of who He is, believe the promises given to us, and pursue Him to get to know Him, then He can enable us to do that. In fact it goes much further than that. In 1 John 3:2 CJB, we ran face first into the reality of what He is doing in us. Dear friends, we are God’s children now; and it has not yet been made clear what we will become. We do know that when he appears, we will be like him; because we will see him as he really is. Yes, that is what we are told. We will be like Him. Try to get a hold of that in your little faith bucket. Yet, I know now that when I first see him in my spiritual body all He’ll have to say in my mind is, “Hi David. It’s me. I’m so glad we’re finally together.” I’ll recognize His voice and it will be good. Remember we’ll be judging angels. They’ll be working for us. We’ll be one with the Messiah. It’s a stunning gift we’ve been given to be asked to be the Messiah’s helpmate. I imagine that those who only know Him through quickened scripture will need a bit of an adjustment period. If you’re unprepared, it will be a lot like one who is born blind who can suddenly see. Remember, in the Gospels no one had the Holy Spirit living inside of them. Jesus was just a man to them. Being born again was not available yet. People were always asking Jesus what to do, and His response was consistently to have faith. Another thing we need to realize is that God knew we would sin. It was part of the plan. Scripture tells us in several places that Jesus was destined for his role before the foundation of the world. 1 Peter 1:20 is one. Ephesians 1:3–10 is another. As Messiah, Jesus knew about the cross before the universe was created through Him. In one of my novels, Two men are wrestling with teaching about this. It’s expressed this way, “There is a real problem conceptually in dealing with a person who could only be apprehended by faith. How do you discuss a God who was not visible, yet intensely real? More than that, how is faith understood as a realistic necessity?” The training tool of faith is stunningly wise in its subtlety. Just try to imagine a better training tool for a man or a woman. We are all so deeply involved with the soul and the flesh, that not being able to see and feel God just seems like foolishness before we’re reborn. Even worse is the idea that we can be set free to see the Truth only because Jesus came and died for us on the cross. That’s a horrible tortuous method of execution which leaves the body basically intact. Yet, it enables us [by faith] to access the power and freedom of a son or daughter of •I am•. Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” John 6: 28 & 29 RSV I’m convinced that our position in the new creation is determined by what we are each designed to be. By the faith and character we let Him build in us during our life here in this creation, we can get a solid glimpse of who we are going to be. Remember He is working within us to make us both to make us willing and to make us able. Philippians 2:13 Our Messiah is shaping us into what we are designed to be as part of His helpmate. We’re so blind here that seeing what we will be would only get in the way. We can only accept it by faith—for now. I have seen that He has trained me in several unique ways which I can sort of understand, but I can’t explain. Words are not sufficient, at this point. But my faith has a solid hold on these things. But many things apply to us all. It’s always new every morning. In a very real way, I have learned to gather the faith needed to start the day, every morning. Yesterday’s faith is but a memory. It can no longer be directly sensed. I need fresh faith, for today’s work. This is part of the wisdom of faith. Faith is something you must chose to do—every day “Give us this day our daily bread” is another part of the same Truth. A major portion of our sin nature—Adam and Eve’s original sin of mankind—is that we are cut off from being able to see and touch Him. I can’t tell you how often I tell Jesus that I can’t hardly wait until we can walk and talk in the garden again. Remember that day you were born again. Can you recall how you felt, what you experienced, and all of that? If you’re like me, I can tell the tale. But the feelings are just memories. I can say, “I remember that I was overwhelmed, completely convinced of the reality of what I had experienced.” It builds my faith to give my testimony. But the intense reality of the experience is just a memory. Otherwise it would not be faith. I experience little things like that every day. But I cannot share them beyond the results of what I experienced. It used to seriously bother me, that I could not share those things. But then the Holy Spirit showed me how. I can ask for the anointing before I share it Then the Lord can use my memories to give a fresh dose of faith to those I share with. He can make my memory touch another person with His power. It’s all about His power. He can take our testimony and make it work for others. When He does that, I have no idea it is happening. I only find out through what they share afterwards—if they say anything. That is what is happening now. Soon I will record this in a podcast. I will have no idea if it is effective or not. I’ve written out a script of sorts. But I have no idea how he’ll guide me and what he will change as I go through the process. All I can do is get myself cleaned up—then I ask for the anointing. All I can do is speak it out in faith. I’ll do that the best I can. I need to remain as loose as possible so He can touch me to add little things that will enable Him to touch each listener in a different manner—personalized for each one of them. That’s what teaching under the anointing is all about. But there is no audience participation in this process. I’m proceeding in faith—striving to hear Him as I talk it out. It’s between Him and me. The results are up to Him. It’s about my faith in His calling and His power. He gave me the idea and approved the plan. I’m just an obedient bond servant, using my experiences to provide the raw content that He can use for His purposes. That’s what He has given me to do. We are witnesses, as legally defined I can only testify to what He has done: in me, through me, or to me. I cannot testify about what happened to someone else: other than what I saw or heard them say or do. My opinions might be entertaining: but they are rarely useful. I cannot control or predict what your reaction will be to my testimony: All I can do is focus on Truth and accuracy, trusting Him to fill my mouth with something helpful. All of that is up to the Lord: and He gets the glory for it I got up about 4:00 am because my mind was so busy I couldn’t sleep. It was about something else—a new plan in the future. But once I got that taken care of, the Lord gave me this idea. I pray it is helpful.
